Yep, add homophobic and that pretty much sums it up. What’s hilarious is that they find this series spicy. This is tame compared to stuff coming out of Europe.

I've only ever seen Joong on the warp effect before. His character was a little bit bland in that, but acting wise it was okay. I actually like his acting in THK (so far). I neither love him nor hate him.

Sometimes you just don't click. I don't like Adele (the singer) for some reason. She's talented, a great singer/songwriter, but there's something that just rubs me the wrong way and I can't quite put my finger on it.

I'm not bothered about a low rating as such, ratings on MDL are hardly ever a true reflection of a series anyway. I mean, just look at the rating of 2gether, f4flowers... the list is endless with ratings for series that are an absolute pile of crap but are still rated highly by teeny boppers who's fannies are in a flutter by the likes of Bright & Win (who both have the personality of a dull, grey brick). Personally, I am annoyed at the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) homophobia underpinning this coordinated down rating.

It was never a glitch, it was a coordinated down rating by preteen girlies hiding under their covers.

It's not because it's only one episode, individuals are rating it low on purpose because they don't agree with the content of the series.

I wish that were the case but alas it is not. Trust me on this one.

Well, more that the fact that the spice of the gay variety. Spice on other series doesn't seem to be an issue apparently.

No there’s no trick, it’s people coming on and deliberately lowering the rating. They did this on J&J for the exact same reasons. People go on about “haters”, but they don’t see how deep rooted this is in homophobia.

It’s called homophobia and bigotry.

What is happening is the display of homophobia and bigotry in the BL fandom. It doesn’t surprise me to be honest, it’s been there from the very start. Yes, the rating will likely go up once the bigots have stopped throwing their toys out of the pram, but the damage has already been done. Why do you think so few actors want to star on these shows? Why so many stop after making one? Or why so many actors are still in the closet? Unlike racism, homophobia is still widely accepted in society, and it’s why it’s so difficult to get any proper representation of LGBT characters on the screen. People do not want to see it, and if they do it’s on THEIR terms and what is acceptable to THEM. They will tell you otherwise and cover it up with lame excuses of “sexualisation” of the actors or disguise it with “concerns” for the actors welfare. We are constantly having to justify our lives and our existence. Funny how these things never seems to be an issue with straight characters? The hypocrisy is on another level.

And there you have it ladies & gents (and anyone in between). Proof that subtle and latent homophobia is alive and kicking amongst the BL fandom. Rejoice for your eyes have been opened to the truths of this world!
