In the car Tae Joo said that his shadow (referencing Gook since he's always beside him) suddenly grew a conscious…
I already said my take on the episodes lower in the comments, but about the ''don't resent me'' he really said that, but it is like ''don't be grumpy/shy and do what u want''. The favor! Wasn't it clear tho? Gook said ''don't do this, I beg you'' and the word beg can be also translated to ''request'' as in request a favor, SO Tae Joo is listening to Gook's favor about not doing seductive/playful things, thus letting him go on the date. Lemme repeat it again, that Tae Joo is doing all these things to hide his already existing feelings for Gook. I do not agree with people that say the feelings came to be AFTER the girl show up. U don't need language comprehency to understand body actions. He wanted Gook to be free and date, but than he got pissed as u could see and he with his actions admitted that he is selfish in love because he doesn't want to lose Gook. As he said, Gook is his shadow and ''shadow should be around 24/7''. Heck, even the cast was fake so he WANTED Gook to get closer to him and take care of him. If this ain't gay than i don't know what is XD

You're more than welcome! If I had more time I would sub this myself, but I don't and it sometimes makes me pissed that Viki does such a poor job with such small drama like this =/
it a hit , but in South korea it's not democracy and it's not liberal trough gays...so it can't be a "hit" in…
I know, I am sorry that I did not elaborate my comment more, because really it's for a very long debate. BUT the point is, that when I had the thought ''where in history did it change'' I found out that it's thanks to Confucianism. Before Confucianism, ppl were okay with male escorts and lovers, but after Confucianism came to be, it suddenly became bad and nasty. Yes, S. Korea population is mainly Christian, BUT do not forget that their principals which they live by every day (bowing, showing respect to others in various ways, ceremonies etc.) are directly taken from Confucianism.
With China, I know it's thanks to the communist regime and that's why I have very little hope that the LGBT ban on media will change, but S. Korea is a democratic republic and has freedom of speech and voting too. So if enough ppl are educated about LGBT community, there is a high chance that LGBT will get more positive media exposure.

S. Korea is a democratic republic. The reason why Korea and China have problems with LGBT is because of Confucianism, which came to the picture wayyyyy back. Korea is slowly starting to open their eyes on LGBT community, but it will be a slow process.
what is that even supposed to mean that its not some LGBT show? because isn't bl just gay shows aimed at woman
I cannot agree on this. Want some harsh personal words? Thailand sucks in hetero dramas as well and has unrealistic relationships there as well. So its about the mind of scriptwriters...Japanese and Korean LGBT dramas have very realistic features. Sorry, but only Thailand lacks realism, but its only my opinion
Am I deaf or something? Why do I hear ''kiss'' instead of ''cast'' in the dialogue in EP4 when they were waiting for car? Instead of ''where is your cast'' I hear something different, so now I need someone to confirm what they are saying XD Can someone write it down in hangul, pls?

As Crlb said, BL is not an utopia. In many Asian series u see the characters struggling with their sexual identity. I strongly have to disagree that LGBT stories should be only about the act of coming out and internal struggles. That simply cannot be the bridge that creates the difference between BL and LGBT. And I gotta say in almost every drama I have seen there is struggle about acceptance ex. Dark Blue Kiss and Sotus and many many more.
Honestly, I wont say u are wrong, because there is NO clear answer since no scientist has ever written a book about it. It's EXACTLY like cinematic music and classical music. Some say cinematic music is a sub-genre of classical, some say it is the same since it is orchestra, right? Some say the style and notes create the difference between the two, some dont but there is NO valid answer. The same goes with BL and LGBT in your mind I guess.

So if I understand your pov right, BL is a universe where everyone is gay and LGBT is about few gay characters?
I am sorry, but I simply do not understand you, since really I do not see the difference. It's very hard to compare Brokeback mountain, which is set in a historical period where being gay was not accepted and TT.
Let me compare Love, Simon and TT since they are both in similiar age. I do not see the difference. TT has straight characters - Love, Simon has straight characters. TT deals with homophobia - Love, Simon deals with it as well etc.
Draw the line for me and show me the difference between these two terms, because even media views it as LGBT.
From your previous replies I got a feeling that u consider something LGBT only IF the story is about coming out, and if u think this way, than I really strongly disagree. For me, if the MAIN couple is gay than it's LGBT/Y/BL/Yuri.
I might be wrong but I don't think Taejoo is such a thoughtful guy. He's definitely attracted to Gook but he doesn't…
Those words do not hold any heavy meaning tho. Literal translation would be "I really request you" that's just how Korean works. It isn't like English where we can say beg you, ask you, I request you to etc. It usually uses one phrase and it's up to the translator which English word will they pick. But that phrase as I said isn't anything heavy and in ''I beg you'' personally I do not see anything dangerous :)

The way he interrupted the date is a clear sign that his heart could not take the thought of Gook being with someone, becaaaaause Tae Joo loves/likes him and is selfish, because as u could see, he wanna keep Gook to himself. And the reason why he left was because he once again secluded himself in his little shell. He keeps acting out but coming back to that shell where he is "confident and flirtuous" and wants Gook to date, but it's all a pretense I mean, idk, I do not need subs and the dialogues are very clear. He sees Gook as a shadow and it might sound stalkerish or meaningless, but in Korea wife back in time was to be said ''shadow'' of her husband as in following him right beside.

This week we should get 2 episodes as always
Still 2gether?
Also the changed director did DBK so my hopes for normal healthy skinship goes down the drain >/
