Is this a Wuxia or XianXia drama? I'm actually crave for Allen to act in a Wuxia drama again. Its about time.
It’s wuxia with some slightly super-natural martial arts skills. I’m curious to see how they will be presented in the drama. I hope they keep it minimalist. There should be some awesome fighting scenes in this, especially those between the two male leads.
hesitant to start this cuz of the ML, He looks too old and not beautiful
He may not be as pretty as some of the idol-boys out there, but he has a none-negligible advantage for an actor: he can actually act! Personally, I’d rather watch an average guy doing some great acting, than looking at some poster boy with the charisma of a cardboard cut-out for 40 long episodes.
This show is so much better than many other dramas featuring young idols who barely can act but given lead roles…
Absolutely! There is something on MDL that I call the “pretty-boy factor”. No matter how idiotic the story or how shitty the acting, it will get the drama a rating above 8. Sadly, some really good dramas with grown up actors get down-rated by hysterical teens calling 30-something actors/actresses old and wrinkly.
I was getting bored after she passed exam...after that its all episode count. I mean they make up stuff to make…
Yes, making up stuff to make a story is literally the job description for every author or script-writer 😂 If you have a problem with that, go and watch a documentary.
I think it has to have more eps...or maybe season 2... here is playlisthttps://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLX0w6rCQl3mdIG6SIiTKMXmpuudKPAzfA&si=0K3LZzOqns0MucQ-
That works for any drama, whether it finished airing or not. It’s one of the problems with the MDL website, things that shouldn’t be possible still are technically possible (and are abused by some people). Like rating episodes that haven’t aired yet, or marking a drama as ‘completed’ while it is still ongoing.
Strangely, this problem persists, no matter whether the drama has 24 or 40 or 60 episodes. Directors just seem to be so fond of romantic gazes set to music and overly complicated plot lines in the last third of the drama.
From what I’ve seen so far, the costumes for this drama are absolutely outstanding! I hope this is an indication of a high overall production quality. The story is so special, it deserves the best!
Legend of the Phoenix. Good plot, brilliant acting, two very moving love stories, only one annoying side character. One of the most underrated dramas around…
Dream of splendor is a must watch. It has also the same way of showing romantic gesture. I remember that I post…
DoS was good in terms of acting and production, but that idiotic “misunderstanding” in the middle, something so silly that it could have been solved with one sentence if only people talked to each other, kind of spoilt it for me. This was such lazy scrip-writing.
FSF looks and sounds better in bts clips.i think they wanted to make him look pale and sickly and sound old but…
The excessive use of ‘ pale face’ is not doing the actors any favours. So what if there are a few visible lines in their faces? It just makes them look alive and allows them to show some subtle acting.
Well, Legend of Zhuohua is pretty good actually. Smart FL, definitely no fillers.
Yes, darker themes would be nice, but so far I found the execution of these rather disappointing. Sometimes the trailers promise a lot more than the drama will actually give. Just think back to the amazing trailer for Unchained Love. We all expected the ML to be yet a few shades darker than in LBDF and then he turned out to be a toothless tiger in a f*cking comedy. It’s one of those where the script writers definitely butchered the novel. Here , we ca have some hope because the original author also wrote the script, but it seems that censorship rules will only allow a very limited degree of darkness for the leads.

It seems that nagging works 😂😂😂😂
