It has good themes if you dig deep but the execution on screen just sucks. There's no way they wanted this many people to dislike the fl by the halfway point. That's their biggest failure imo. They have failed to portray the fl in a way that makes viewers sympathize with her when she's the main character. Its fine for her to be unlikable but viewers should be sympathizing with her or atleast understand her but they just hate her.
No one likes love triangles in a drama that isn't about love triangles. Putting the fl in a love triangle halfway through the show is bound to get massive hate for both the character and the drama. It doesn't matter whether it's real/fake or the lawyer is trying to help her and/or Doha or not. If it's through an annoying trope people will be annoyed. They should have just made the lawyer show interest and put more scenes of him from the beginning then there wouldn't be as much backlash.
Off topic a bit but I really dislike how kdrama MLs are usually portrayed as just mindless dogs who will follow and wait for the FL who doesn't seem to care about them. It's very off-putting and honestly pathetic. In this drama, I wouldn't mind the fl dating the lawyer if it meant ml would back off, perhaps use it as a way to give the leads some space. It's still an annoying way but tolerable. Instead it will just be some cringe nonsense of the ml constantly being jealous and the lawyer teasing/provoking him. This would be fine if Do Ha actually backed off but we all know it's just gonna be a bunch of scenes of him constantly jealous and hurting. The preview already shows that he's gonna be tagging along their dates, confronting the lawyer, tagging along on their "farewells". All the most tropey love triangle tropes just wrapped up in the next episode. If she actually got the space you mentioned with the lawyer while Do Ha focused on work or something, it would actually be pretty good.
I also think they did a bad job showing how much Do Ha hurt her. We should be on her side and wanting him to prove himself and redeem himself but now I'm just wondering why he likes her so much, feels like she's the one who doesn't deserve him. Show us how he hurt her with the lies, how she missed him everytime he left, let her tell her friend/s how she feels so that we understand her actions and thought process more, make us dislike the ml and sympathize with the fl. Perhaps that will happen but we're halfway through the drama and a lot of people dislike the fl. I doubt that's what they were going for.

I'm gonna try ep7 but when I no longer fully support the main couple being together I'm most likely dropping. They should have atleast waited a bit before introducing these dumb love rival plots.
F off. Do Ha should just leave her be at this point. I don't even really get why she got so mad at him for forcing that guy to resign or even why she's just generally mad at him and wants to push him away. It was fun in the beginning but it's now just frustrating.
I know the actual ending is before it's revealed to be a script but I wish they had shown us Ji Fei(MLs sister) in the world outside the script. She was great.
Villain scenes just sucked for me. Ep23 was especially annoying. Just tell the fl the plan to lure the villain out and pretend together. They already did that in the past when they were at the beach instead of this noble idiocy. Skipped through that entire portion. Also why is the ml so hell bent on "saving" the guy who has done nothing but harm him and tried to kill the person he loves the most multiple times? He's not even dying but going to another world so why put himself at so much risk for a psychopath??
Just me, but I would have preferred the main plot to just be the ml trying to sabotage the novel celebrity couple while fl does the opposite. The main couple and everything surrounding their relationship (ml's sister, 2nd couple, office friends) were all great. Overall enjoyed it but fast forwarded most of the "drama" involving the psychopath villain
I think I would have liked this more if they weren't being chased. Keep everything else as it is but with a different reason for traveling together. Either than that, it was pretty good.
It's not bad, if the original wasn't there I'm sure the rating would be higher especially for a short low budget drama.
That being said, as someone who loves the original I did not enjoy this. Sang Zhi seems like she hates Jiaxu instead of having crush on him. Jiaxu honestly seems creepy, maybe uncanny. He constantly has a weird smile when talking, then when not talking it's a creepy smirk. Sang Zhi also doesn't have the shyness of first love shown in the og, Jiaxu doesn't have the charisma/charm described by Sang Zhi or the "sun energy" described by Yifan. Both actors didn't really show emotion in their expressions or voices, it was like they were reading a dictionary. I don't wanna criticize the actors too much but compared to the myriad of emotions Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan show, they are really really lacking. Their eyes show nothing whike ZL and CZY portrayed so much from just their eyes.
I also didn't like most changes to the dialogue or plot. Most of them were to make things more dramatic or have a negative tone. The creditor being more involved, parents outright rejecting their relationship, the convo after Sang Zhi tells Jiaxu he was her crush from the beginning. A lot of the changes just change fluff/neutral to negativity. Jiaxu also became more "shameless", that alongside his smirk just made him seem more like a creep. Lack of music did not help with the atmosphere.
It's a lot of criticism lol, but for what it is, it really isn't bad compared to other short dramas. If you watched ths original and enjoyed it then I definitely don't recommend this. I cringed at a lot of scenes when comparing to the original. If you haven't watched the original and are looking for a short drama, this is better than others I've seen.

10 eps??? I've just been reading the comments while waiting for it to finish airing so that I can watch. I don't have the patients to wait a day after cliffhangers and I wanna know if a show is SE or HE before starting. 10 eps seperation seems excessive. Fated hearts "seperated" the ml and fl for 1 ep and I was losing my mind
