okay, is it me who really thinks the ML is the former crown prince and not whoever this person who was assumed…
That guy is probably the real son of the Xue family. Ml probably told him about his past experiences before he lost his memories or maybe someone else did. Watch the way that guy reacts when talking about ml's "father", it's pretty clear the xue head is his father. Painter said ml's father is noble and not the xue family head, ml lost his memories at 7 when the crown prince was assassinated, the grandmother wants another heir that isn't the ml even though he's so capable, there's a flashback where the grandmother argues with ml's dad and she mentions "your own son" when talking about sending money to the guy considered the crown prince. There are too many things that point to the ml not being a Xue
It could all be a red herring. The only other suspicion is the masked guy. They could also say the boy in her memory is the ml but he isn't the crown prince they are looking for,

Fl is kind of annoying me with this loyalty/love due to someone saving her life . Emperor "saved" her life and she's loyal to him even after he had her killed. Boy in her memory saved her life and he's now her love for life. ML saved her life, twice if you count what happened in the pit they fell. Yet he's still constantly suspected, treated coldly and gained no affection from her. How does that make sense. It woukd be fine if we didn't have the precedent of how she treats her life saviors in the emperor and boy in the memory so why is it so different when ml saves her life and treats her well?

I hope if ml is the crown prince, it's only revealed after ml and fl get together and isn't the reason she decides to be with him.

Dropping 0.2 to 0.3 is normal, but not like this (8.2 to 7.6) & you can see haters give 1 rating to ep that…
You're telling me about things that changed between the novel and drama when the question was asking for a synopsis that changed after the dream was released. A synopsis that changed to the point that the genre of the drama also changed. You didn't answer that question.

You keep saying "novel synopsis" when it was never specified that it was a novel synopsis.

So I guess you also can't give me a specific drama as an answer?

I don't know what point you're making in that reply.

This is what we're debating, "whether the low ratings are due to blind haters or the change in synopsis since you said the latter was irrelevant"

You can read the current bad review on the drama. I'm pretty sure two are from Mephisto and her alt account with…
What you described happens with every big drama with well known actors. There was also a hater of of the ml on love in the clouds spamming that he's racist. Just block people like that. Look at the currently airing dramas, they also have unreleased episodes being rated. Fated hearts had a big sml fan who didn't like that he was changed from the novel who kept on calling the drama bad after mid stages because of the novel. It happens to every drama.

What do you mean yes. What drama/s is that? Had a different synopsis that changed after it was released? Changing the genre as well. Give me the names and I'll research the change and how it's ratings changed.

But people who put it on the watchlist don't know that. Remember the argument is whether the low ratings are due to blind haters or the change in synopsis since you said the latter was irrelevant. It doesn't matter who wrote it. What matters is that people saw it and planned to watch the drama because of it.

Same problem I had. It's also not just feelings, he's deeply in love with her. After all the things she tried to do to him and his family, he should find her very untrustworthy but alas

I didn't answer because 1) I confidently know the ratings of only 2 dramas (fated hearts and love in the clouds). On that same note, what other drama had a major synopsis change after it aired? One that changes it's genre.

I don't get your argument. The synopsis was on mdl, it didn't state that it was the synopsis for the novel. People put it on their watch list based on the synopsis provided by mdl. Once the drama aired, they watched it and found the drama to be different from what they were promised by the synopsis. They then likely dropped it and rated it. Thats not blind hating, it's disappointment from unfulfilled expectations.

That's still subjective. If more people think like that on mdl then the rating willl rise. If not, then it will stay low even if 50 people think its a masterpiece. 7.7 so it's atleast rising, we'll see where it stabilizes

You don't think the wrong synopsis is a relevant reason even though there are a lot of people asking about the rebirth in the comments? Why? There are more comments asking about the rebirth than comments plainly hating.

Which is why I say we look at what's different with this drama's release. The only difference is the wrong synopsis. Being good is also subjective. One of my favourite dramas is be passionately in love, it has a 7.8. I rated it 9.5. I'm not wrong and neither are those who rated it poorly.

I think the censorship only applies to modern dramas since it was put in place to prevent people from attempting to transmigrate/rebirth. It also kind of makes sense since Xianxia's are full of rebirth with no tweaks

I don't think the plot wouldn't be available for so long because this is a big drama with 2 well known leads.

I don't think the low rating is deserved especially if it's because of the wrong synopsis. I'm just annoyed at how every comment section believes their drama is being targeted by haters when the rating goes down. Imo, people should think and discuss about why the ratings are low instead of just repeatedly claiming "haters" and "it deserves *insert score*". It makes the comment section bad to read. It even takes over comments anoit what's happening in the drama

I'm not arguing that the reasons for it's low rating are warranted. My argument is that there is no hate brigade trying to lower the ratings of this specific drama. I'm also pretty sure rebirth is allowed for historical dramas since Si Jin just outright did rebirth with no repercussions.

And the reason for that difference compared to other dramas is that people are likely disappointed that it's not a rebirth drama as initially advertised. It isn't because of some agenda against the actors or the drama.

Let's forget all that. What do you think is the reason the rating dropped so much?

I agree that it's flawed but it's flawed against everyone. Slower paced dramas probably suffer more though.

FH and Shadow love had people hating on the FLs ages. For FH it quickly died down after it started airing but unfortunately Song Yi got age hate comments before, during and after the airing of SL. I'm not watching either S$B or WoF so I can't say much but the fluctuating is usually at the beginning then stabilizes out. For FH it a 100% fluctuated. It started at 8.3 then went to 8.1 then 8.4 within 3-4 days. It only stabilized when it got to 8.6 and slowly climbed to 8.7.

I agree with that but that's how the system is and it affects everyone. I also understand those who became angry after the drama turned out to not be one in the synopsis. No matter how good the drama is, it's not what was "promised" to them, it's not what they expected

The other 0.3 has a likely explanation in the botched synopsis. Look at the episode guides of the other 2 big dramas currently airing (blood river and sword and beloved). Both have ratings up to the final episode. That's even more upcoming episodes rated than ffh and I'm sure they complained that their drama was also being targeted and then started rating future episodes 10/10 just like what's happening here. It's normal. No one is targeted unless there is controversy.

The rating system is flawed but it's flawed to all dramas yet everyone wants to claim their drama is being targeted. Love in the clouds dropped from 8.9 to 8.8 and the comments started saying someone is organizing the mass low ratings. Based on the rank, fated hearts will probably drop to 8.7 and they will also claim all kinds of conspiracies on why there are so many haters.

There is nothing that seperates this drama from the others besides the wrong synopsis. If something feels off then you look at the outliers and the synopsis is the only outlier seperating this drama and others. Claiming it's uniquely targeted just from feels is just being biased.

The rating fluctuating early on is not new. It happens to every drama. This one in particular is likely very negatively affected by the previous synopsis which was wrong. No matter how good a pie is, if I was expecting a pizza, I will be somewhat disappointed. That's probably the main reason it dropped so low instead of haters. There are haters who rate drama episodes before they air in all dramas on mdl, it's not just this one. Ratings now also have a larger impact on the overall rating shown because only a few people watching have actually properly rated it.

I watched both love in the clouds and fated hearts as they aired. Both shows fluctuated a lot initially. FH started at 8.3 then went down to 8.1 then 8.4, all within the first 2-3 days. Same thing happened with love in the clouds but it actually rose slower becauss people found the early episodes slow. They were also yelling "haters" in that comment section. Love's Ambition dropped from 8.5 to 8.4 a few days after it finished and everyone in the commments started yelling "haters" completely ignoring that a lot of people were voicing a loss in interest after the divorce in the comments. It's not always just haters but other understandable reasons. Usually actual haters are outnumbered to the point of being inconsequential when numbers are averaged out.

I think a combination of the wrong synopsis disappointing people's expectations and "unconventional" plotlines like marrying ml's dead brother and ml's character being similar to bai jingting in destined in that he needs time to develop. These kind of plots turn a lot of people off and that's fine. We don't all enjoy the same things. They drop and leave a low rating.

it broke 24000 today. and it is going to air on satellite tv nov 3 !
For tencent, divide the heat by 3 to get the equivalent on iqiyi and youku. 24k would be 8k on the other 2 while 30k=10k. 8k is good, 9k is very good and 10k is a big hit.

Idk how far true it is but iqiyi 10k and tencent 30k is more difficult to reach than 10k on youku.

Maybe it's because she didn't intend to die with that poison in the first place. But yeah, she seemed to forget…
How so? She seemed like she accepted death when she was given the poison. She was also surprised that she was alive when she woke up. My problem wasn't really the feelings or trust but her willingness to let ml die or need a reason to save the him when he literally saved her life before.

Anyway after episode 11 I'm dropping it. Finished ep11 and fast forwarded through ep12 and I hate the way the ml is out of nowhere so in love with her. It just makes zero sense out of their interactions so far, if anything, it should be the other way round. It would be fine if it was atleast subtle but it's like she's the love of his life when she's mostly done things for him to mistrust her. I unfortunately now have negative feelings for the drama so the comedy that I found funny before is now just annoying as well. I'll just check out plot revelations after it's done airing since I'm quite interested in that.

Title Moonlit Order Spoiler
On ep 8. Why does she act like he didn't save her life? Why didn't she try to save ml when he's being attacked to pay him back for saving her life? At the bottom of the place they fell, she's once again looking for an excuse to help him as if they are still enemies.

For the fl it feels like there's big disconnect after the episode where she's poisoned. It's like disney shows where huge relationship progressions happen only to be reset the following episode. Why does she still suspect he's hiding the crown prince or scheming against her when he could have just let her die to solve those problems? For the fl, it's like the episode of him saving her from the poison just didn't happen.

He also seems to have fallen for her out of nowhere. He's now getting jealous of the "young master" she keeps calling when she's unconscious. Why? What made him fall for her?

i always 'like' it when cdrama prefer to make some conflicts between main leads, rather than fighting together…
I'm the direct opposite. Rather the romance is stable while everything around them falls to pieces.

I wish the older woman/younger man genre didn't always make the ml so childish/immature/impulsive/insecure just to show that the ml is young. He's 20 not 14. When it's the reverse scenario, the fl is only portrayed as shy. She's not constantly yelling and being unreasonable. I like the idea of the genre but the execution always sucks because of this and how predictable it is that ml will fall for fl first then fl will reject the relationship because of the age difference.

I loved the other 3 Wang Anyu dramas I watched (forever love, be passionately in love, to fly with you) so I'm probably biased since his character here is so different.

FL doesn't die, doesn't go back in time. There is no reincarnation plot in the drama. That was only in the novel.
Si Jin did rebirth without a sad ending or even the typical "it was all a dream thing". Pretty sure rebirth/transmigration//time travel is only not allowed if it involves the modern world but in fantasy/historical dramas it's either fine or the censorship is more loose

How do people enjoy this? I'm on ep14 and the ml has just been mean to the fl the entire time. He throws her a bone from time to time but 90% of the time he's just mean to her for no reason, being dumb is not a reason. She never even gets mad at him for his bs either. This is up there with "well intended love" for the worst ml I've seen. The drama also glazes him constantly when he's just garbage. Why would anyone root for the leads to get together? What a complete waste of my time.
