Hi. Can you explain politics vs war vs romance. How many percentage is it in the drama?I skimmed watch some earlier…
I saw some people say it could be because of covid as well but I see it more because of difficult scenes. I think they are somewhat acceptable the amount of drawingsso far.
Have you decided to watch it or just planning to skip?
It was perfect in every way except the most important….I never bonded to any of the characters..I liked it but…
Agree. It's such a wide cast that it doesn't give you a chance to like characters deeply outside of their defining traits. (with the exception of the queen). It feels kinda hollow. The Rise of the Phoenix... I might give it a try
Lots of us share your sentiments with part2. Felt bad for Dir Fei, the production was not done with editing, and…
I don't want to overdo it 🤣 let's be realistic since it's 56 episodes. It's an insane amount of time to invest each time. I was thinking of reading the novel although a part of my is relieved to see the drama didn't use the time travel. I feel like it would lose some of it's charm if they did. Cnets I swear 😁 I love this drama and I know I would be impatient but giving it time a month work hurt much. Is there any reason why they didn't make it 66 episodes? It's still under the 40 episode rule.

I was wondering why some scenes feel off. They had to cut 10 episodes somehow ☹️ but despite that, I haven't loved a show as much as I did with this one. It's a rare and it's still linger in my mind despite the fact I already finished it. I would rewatch if my sister wanted to see a Chinese drama but she have yet to explore this genre.

🥺 nooo! I went to check and there is barely any window between season 1 or season 2. They should at least give them a month or two before they come out with the next season. I'm sure fans can be patient for a great quality show.
The characters are endearing (because they have a modern touch) and they compensate for the few flaws of the story…
I was cheering for Consort Tae. I hope her son would win because his sense of justice really was fair. GP Seongnam was okay however I didn't like GP Muan. He is one of the biggest problem with this show. His whole family could have been executed if GP Seongnam didn't win the contest but instead, he went to sleep with a woman... which fells back in on why this drama wasn't as enjoyable.
When some people say an actor acts with their eyes, I scratched my head because DAFUQ? But now, I understand what they mean because when I see Wu Leo, I think of that. The way he just looks, I can see love, rage, sadness, injustice, happiness, tenderness, worry. All from just a stare. I didn’t think this actor was handsome when I first started this but my god, he was so good at delivering this role, I suddenly find him charming, attractive and everything. I also want to commend Lusi. She is such a good actress. When she cries, she was giving RANGE. Everytime she did, it was different. From her tone, the depth, and screams. Truly an A game here.
Season 2 had some of the highest highs but some lows. There were so many unforgettable scenes, dare I say, better than first season but then there are parts that kinda feel rushed, a bit repetitive and a bit frustrating to get through. I also wished we got more lighthearted scenes. I wanted to see more Buyi trying get along with the Cheng family with his very domineering presence. Despite that, I'll give this season a 8 for being truly a strong show that will take a very long time to beat for me.

I find some of the characters endearing especially the Queen and the consorts. With the prince, they didn't leave much impact for me with the exception of Prince Bogeum.
honestly.. me too! I agree that it just seems like something is missing. This show started with a banger, however…
I think it's because it's a historical drama with modern day solutions. It appeals for many peopl here but for me, it's doesn't. None of the decisions would have went far in actual history. I didn't hate it, I enjoyed a good portion of it but it's okay drama for me.
Hmm something about this feels lacking for me. I like the show but I can't place my finger what's leaving me dissatisfied. I don't dislike shows for being predictable but this tried to be right as much as possible that it was iffy. History is merciless. No one leaves unscathed. It felt like the show, itself knew, there will be no serious consequences with the way it went. Ex: Two Grand Princes were taking the contest lightly despite their lives on the line, queen is always there to save everyone, king reveals truth regardless, etc. With that being said, this is supposed to be a feel good drama where everything get packaged nicely with a ribbon bow so I understand why people like it.
Listen here!!!! I’ve never been a fan of the wrist grabbing and man handling but there’s something about when…
I was saying. I never thought I would like a male lead as much as him. Like grab my waist and kiss me. I'm laughing as I'm typing this because how absurd my comment is. I'm not someone who cares about romance to this level LMAO
Omg the grandma is hilarious. The actress who plays her is so good. "Save the men first." I'M DEAD!! Niaon Niaon face at that. My god. I usually would find characters like that extremely annoying because of their favoritism but the series does well in focus on it only for comedic purpose.
