I agree. I don't think they writers thought about it too deeply. It feels like they just went with what's traditionally "correct" even if it didn't make sense.

Finally someone called her a hypocrite because that's what she is for me. It's a shame to see her character fall down that route.

Dramas with two writers seem to always fail in logic for some reason lmao it's unfortunate because I liked the concept but this is another drama I'll give low score now.

You know what I find funny? Juhee wants TY's traits IN SC but won't tolerate TY if he had SC's traits. The irony of her romance.

Story loses steam in the second half so you are not missing out.

I agree with your overall messsage but also disagree a bit with it. I understand Seungchan's father. Yes, he called him selfish but he was also willing to let him go. He even put on an act so Seungchan would stop coming to help or see them like that. He didn't want him to have some sympathy for them... and just live the rich life he thinks his son deserve. He wanted to meet him one last time before he accept TY as his son forever. Unfortunately though, writers did the cliche to make sure Seungchan would pick his family instead... however, I completely agree with your point about Nara. What they did to her is messed up and even changed her personality to fit a stupid narrative. She wasn't shown to be caring and kindhearted so why the hell would she care about her abusive father? Do these writer think an actual victim of abuse will try to save the person who brought them misery? Nara's personality will make sure he STAYS in jail or she will ignore him forever.

I liked AML despite the way they mishandled the last 4 epsiodes. If it's anything like it or even better, I'm sold. SJK also seems to pick good dramas or dramas that become popular so I put my trust on him even if I didn't like it at the end

Maybe try Chinese dramas? Love between a Fairy and Devil. It have cringey start but story picks up.

I didn’t mind that scene because it's shows how fickle minded SC is. It's very human-like. I also hope he suffer consequences.

In one of the episodes, he said something similiar to how he would have like SC as his son but it was unfortunate that he was poor. I think that's why he never stopped him.

Lol I noticed we made similar comments around the same time. But exactly. He already proved he chose money and greed over her. She discard Taeyong who stayed for love and family but want to be with someone who chose the opposite. It's not healthy. Her character is supposed to be noble and how she doesn't take crap from anyone so this isn't consistent. I don't want the excuse of "No matter how far apart we are, I'll always love you because that's true love." Because it doesn't fit here.

I honestly find both fathers charismatic! The actors really did a fantastic job especially Choi Won Young. I can't imagine anyone else doing this role better than him.

I understand why Seungchan likes Juhee but I don't understand why Juhee STILL likes Seungchan. If the writers are going for toxic relationships, they nailed it but if they really think this is romantic... then writers need to be fired because this is not romantic in the slightest. Juhee found out he abandoned her to be Taeyong and he was going to do it AGAIN yet she went to stop him?? What woman want to BEG a man to stay with her knowing he is about to DITCH her again? No love from 11 years ago is worth throwing away your self dignity. Writers really ruining Juhee every episode. I didn’t read the webtoon but please stick to it

Had to search her up. I haven't seen a single drama of hers but I'm trying remember this case. Is she the woman who refused to divorce him until he said he will reveal what actually happened and then the divorce went smoothly without any problems? Was she the one or am I mixing up the cases?

What makes characters like her annoying for me isn't the fact she is meek and naive but how the male lead will sacrifice anything or forgive her no matter what she does. She is usually the girl he just meet for like 2 months and now, nothing matters to him more than her. It's really annoying like stoooop. Nobody, after NOT seeing their girlfriend for 10 years straight, will still have strong feelings for their girlfriend, nevermind an ex.

Yup, I had the same thing happen in here. I had someone say to me I should have dropped the drama the moment I "complained yet I'm still here."Then when I explained the writing flaws, they told me I should never post a comment if I don't want people to disagree with me?? Like... I'm explaining because they said I'm complaining. Literally so many children here or something. I also a stop watching comment too but saw when someone asked if they should drop it, people told them to keep watching lol

I don't comment much in Chinese dramas because I watch them like months after they are done rather than when they are airing. I don't want to give honest opinions anymore lmao literally see it happen in other dramas when other people give criticism about the drama. Seen so many people downplay the issues some people have as "minor problems"

What you mean he can't act with fl his age? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seem like you have a problem with age gap? If so, most of his dramas aren't even romance so the actress age shouldn't matter. Dramas without romance that I know of him is Good Mananger, The Veil, Hot Stove League, The Girl who see Scent, Remember, War of the Son, and Doctor Prisoner. I didn't watch everything he acted on but he doesn't pick romances most of the time. It's not his fault though that the drama he picks always choose young actresses to pull the viewers into watching it.
