The poster reminds me of a webtoon I read where the people got stuck in an apartment. I have a feeling this might be a live adaptation to that so I ain't gonna spoil it. But if it was from that webtoon, I can't wait to see who plays the antagonist.
I watched this movie last year with my sister randomly... let's just say I wouldn't pay money to watch this again even if the cast are filled with great actors. The plot was average that any new writer will probably be able to come up with the SAME EXACT storyline (probably even better, like no offense). It lacked originality. The only thing that stood out was Woo Do Hwan transformation at the end (which we should thank the Make Up Artist for that) but that's literally it.
Trying to hate Sun Ho challenge FAILED. I really trying but I can't. Even if he becomes evil, I know I won't stop pitying him. He's set up to have a tragic ending where he will always be seen as the evil one.
You forgot to mention another one. When they play the ugly main character card... where? They weren't casted in the drama because they are ugly. I also hate it when they force this "she is ugly, she is pretty!" It makes the viewers get weirdly judgemental and a strange sense of superiority where they insist the "supposed ugly" one is PRETTITER than the "supposed pretty" one and how they "like her face more than the other". First of all, they are both pretty okay? Don't pit the actress against each other and insult "the pretty one" just cuz the plot forced it there.
No. 5. I think we can all agree we are sick of it. It makes a cameo in literary every drama. I'm glad some dramas do it in the intro, and get it over with but I can't stand such cliche. It feels lazy.
As for No. 2, I'm always aware of the poor people wearing fancy, expensive clothes but I learned to accept it because they gotta earn their coins.
Kitae ended up being my favorite character. I'm a bit surprised since I don't like bullies but he is the only one owning up to his shit unlike all the other characters. He was also unexpectedly loyal to his girlfriend for someone who just wanted her money.
I find this show a bit underwhelming. They bring up good plot points that give us expectation but then they turn it around, suppressing it. I'm not sure if it's because of censorship or if the author wanted it to be more mild (since it's about high schoolers) but this could have been more brutal.
I have yet to watch this drama but I know the romance is gonna make me roll my eyes when I see it (cuz I have yet to find a drama that I felt passionate about any of the romance). It's kinda disappointing to hear that it's even worse in here than any other drama. I guess we could say this is a case of a wrong cast being paired up together.
I don't know why this show have a second season but I'm bored so I gave it a shot. 2 episodes in, I can safely say it's pretty cringey and nonsensical. Rip to me.
He's not the bad guy. He's just trying to survive after being abandoned by his parents.
By finding clients to a illegal prostitution to all types of women/men. From adults to minors which makes him a bad guy. Yeah he is trying to survive but not in this business. At least his reasons isn't as shallow as Minhee.
At the start I was also a little bit annoyed with the female lead when she stole his phone but then I remembered "The male lead is a criminal." I feel like a lot of people are forgetting we shouldn't be rooting for him to succeed. He is the bad guy and it should be expected that he would get screwed over. Frankly, the female actress was phenomenal. I enjoyed her performance out of all the actors.
Thank you for writing your article. Let me respectfully disagree. Here are five reasons for NOT watching Extracurricular:1.…
While I don't really like it (because it's underwhelming for it's genre), I want to remind you that a few Korean dramas having a darker, serious, "not for family" theme will NOT ruin the collection. There is always room for creativity. We have a wide range of shows that will cater to our taste. This just wasn't for you or me. You wanting to be shielded from a show like this can simply be avoided by not watching it instead of trying to stop everyone else from watching it.
I've never seen an idol who still stays in a group after news of their child comes up. I'm hoping he would be a gamechanger for the kpop industry to accept married people with kids without wanting to kick them out. The guy is a talented vocalist. I don't want to see a career ruined just because he had a beautiful blessing.
