Ever since Netflix partnered up with Koreans drama, we have been getting lots of interesting shows. But then they had to ruin it with the multiple season thing. I don't mind having seasons but it needs to be justified. This show doesn't seem like the type that needs many seasons from the first two episodes I saw.
Kim Go Eun is such a poor actress. Can't stand her in this drama especially
I haven't liked her ever since Goblin. I couldn't stand watching that show because of the difference between the main actors. I was hoping my mind would change but there are a lot of negative feedback (which I'm sure it's justified) so my expectations is pretty low for everything.
I mean I shouldn't be surprised but I still am, because there are quite a lot of negative opinions. It's natural,…
Hype comes from: Famous cast, interesting trailer/summary, writer (wrote Goblin and Descendant of the Sun, two famous, overhyped dramas) and the expectations of finally getting something different. We don't have that expectation about drama that have average summaries plus seem pretty cliche.
We all get affected with other's opinionsfor exp I gave Moon Lovers 9/10 (only because of lee joon gi the rest…
You are right in a way. It doesn't affect me what people think about a drama if they liked or hated it although if their review DID make sense, I would feel less about a show if I didn't feel strongly about before. But if I loved it like The Last Empress, I would acknowledge it flaws but it won't change how I feel about it.
I remember watching Doctor Strange when it was still fresh and this was such a deja vu. I never understood why people were shipping the SLF with the ML so much. The FL wasn't as bad as they say so in a way, I agree with your view.
Then again, I have this problem where when I see people overdo praising or hating a character, I feel annoyed that I either habor negative feelings for the loved character or habor positive feelings for the hated character. Which is why when a show is popular and people are crazy about ships instead of the plot, it keeps bringing this emotion out of me especially since 90% of the time, I don't care who ends up with who lol
You must have skipped everything after the first 2 episodes to be that suprised by the outcome. Even PSY got over…
Like I said, it's perception. We can easily twist things around if we want it to fit the narrative. If the ending pairing was Sooah instead of Yiseo, people will bring PSY words and "hints" to explain why it's justified. But it doesn't make it a properly developed romance, does it?
We can agree to disagree. I'm not sure why you need to reply to every comment that criticizes the pairing and insult the viewers intelligence just because they don't see it like you.

All these recent dramas start out too good to be true, then go downhill and make me pull out my hair through the…
I feel the same. A lot of dramas start out SO GOOD! Then half way through, it just feels like a CHORE to finish it. Maybe they should consider making shorter dramas.

If those "hints" were as obvious as you say it is, everyone would have picked up on it. You only saw those hints because you liked the pairing and in your head, you could interpret it as romantic which if someone else saw those same hints would interpret it otherwise. It's called perception. You will make a gesture romantic (or not) if it fits your narrative. Which is why this IS a writers fault. They had 16 episodes. 16 episodes to flesh out the romance EARLY on before they finalize it. Landing on Crash (mind you, I don't like this show, I DROPPED IT) was able to give us proper "hints" in 2 episodes then this show could do in 10 episodes.
Mind you, I already wrote before, around 4 weeks ago, that I don't care about the pairing. I didn't have anyone in specific that I wanted to win so this argument isn't going to work with me.

I did say I knew they were End Game because that's how Korean drama usually end so I did pay attention to their relationships from the beginning because I wanted to ship them but unfortunately after 10 episodes, their chemistry failed.
For me the head patting, didn't feel romantic. It felt like he was deeming her as a child. He did those head pats, little smiles to Geumsoo too. Side glances don't mean anything to me especially when I saw how harsh he could be whenever she made decisions that almost cost him to officially kick her out which shows that she changes his forgiven personality to almost became unforgivable (it takes hurting the people he consider family to make such drastic decision). If she wasn't quick-witted into trying to win him over, she might have been fired, never to be seen again with him. At least she smart enough to know she should change if she wants him to love her. This all just feels manipulative for me and not romantic.

I have not finished the drama but I don't understand why you think it's the viewers problem when it's clearly a writer problem. If the writer can't write a decent, build up to a relationship then it's no surprise people aren't buying it. The only reason I know the outcome will be like this is because Korea drama make it clear who the end game is by letting the main characters always together. Not because they were an actual good couple that had development that made sense.
Unlike Walking Dead, this does not have much episodes and considering it's Korean, a lot of people who are not used to the seasons will drop it. Plus the amount of money that went into it really shows they are taking high risks.

It's not me who said it's romantic so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
