I disagree for long drama, filler is added to make it longer, sometimes shorter eps will make drama more cohesive like in eight hundred. Also for the eps being cut probably has to do with the censor board and not the production itself as there're rule now dramas have to be under a number of eps for it to pass review and get a distribution license. Spring of the blade pass review in december of last year so it not a long wait after shooting like some other historical dramas of xukai.

Finally able to watch ep 5, wow how things change in an instant. Ch was using both men so both of them can deal with each other, and now there's another victim making the case closer to come out in the open. That man who was looking for his wife is really not right in the head, you will never know when he'll be set off and now i'm still suspecting him to be the suspect in the other murders. That ending scene was so tense, i hope it was just a nightmare. Living in that skating rink is really scary at night when everything is so dark and there're only the two of them sleeping there.
