Funny, I enjoyed this so much, I started watching the anime to continue the journey. And now I seriously think it depends what you watch first. I prefer DC to Soul Land. I even miss seeing the "Master" as much as we saw him help Tang San and teach the the rest of the gang in the drama, and the banter he had with the headmaster.

Hahaha Oh dear, I don't think I can finish it now. More drama before it ends. Just get married already lol...

Can someone explain to me, what the story is behind Pei not being able to marry easily, the beef with the princess or whoever. I can't really understand from the subtitles a bit lost. Thanks

Disagree, LOF was more draggy and not that good. DC doesn't feel that draggy to me because all the characters are interesting and the relationships being formed are interesting, the comedy element too. I don't fast forward any of the characters. Initially I though I wouldn't like Rong Rong, but she really changed from being spoilt to being a thoughtful friend.

Agree there have been some just meh dramas, that fans seem to have just rated for their idol, instead of story and plot.

Wish they had written the FL character to have a bit more Story of Yanxi Palace FL flavor to it. They both went into the palace for revenge, Story of Yanxi Palace has much better direction and plot. There is no FL character development in 33 episodes. Wonder if they will squeeze it all in the end. Makes it a painful journey to watch. Where you are just like "really , really".Just doing a lot of fast forwards, curious to see Crown Prince's reaction when he knows the truth, that's the only thing stopping me from dropping.

Tang San's relationship with Elder( 9 ring master) is so fun to watch. They have such great banter.

She underestimates her enemy, and does not have a thought out strategy. She refuses to understand how ML was trying to help. Refuses to listen to people trying to help. She talks about her mum out loud instead of being careful in the palace. She uses the skills that will get her into trouble and to be honest the plot is so bad like Avenue X explained. How can the Zhou have so much power to even in-prison her and get her mum killed. Please don't take this personally its the plot writing for someone who is supposed to be well known for being amazing in history. AvenueX mentions a lot of holes in the plot that I agree with.

Great drama, but definitely not happy with the ending. Even the king mentioned he thinks he has lost something ;-(

Enjoying this drama, excited for ep 14. Loving the humor in it, some moments I literally laugh out load and love the bonding/friendships forming.

Thanks! I agree she isn't the best actress, but not sure who would pull that off, after her younger self seemed clever and the death of her mum should have made her a stronger character.
