Nevermind..filming vertically lol... This is for ppl who have eyes up and down...
Filmed vertically for quick consumption on mobile. And here I am watching these verticals on my huge computer monitor while catching up on my knitting projects. O tempora, o mores! What a waste of screen space. :) And, unfortunately, time, or at least a portion of time. :(
Watching episode 1 I can’t get rid of the feeling I’m watching one of those Chinese vertical dramas, including slapping and extremely toxic family. Just that it’s not vertical and the production value is high!
Good untill around episode 19 when all that supposedly grown-up but actually very childish melodrama started with exagerated tragic moments. There were moments where I felt like I was watching one of those vertical dramas, minus the slapping. The last two episodes just wrapped up the story leaning heavily on cliche after cliche after cliche.
An endless river of tears that reaches truly Amazonian proportions by the last five or four episodes. The constant look of oh so noble and suffering madonna on the female lead’s face got tiresome fast.
Whenever I see the male lead I expect him to say Amitabha! His was my favourite character in that otherwise dull affair known as The Legend of White Snake.
Even though it's short, had to drop this. A bunch of kids doing stupid things without any rhyme or reason is not really my cup of tea. Many things in this story are amiss.
The shoes last for 24 hours. So the creators of this show are consistent with the turning back. Because Cinderella…
By the time Cinderella met Red Riding Hood, she had already killed Hans. I believe they met right after Cinderella hid her shoes in the grave. There are some hints to this in the film.
As for her getting glass slippers, there was one point in the film where Red Riding Hood noticed that many other people also had glass slippers and she said something along the lines that Tekla was practicing her new spell left and right. That's how Cinderella got her first pair.
The film isn't very well done, unnecessarily too static for me, but the line of glass slippers isn't inconsistent.
For a fee it's available on ViX and Amazon Prime.
By the way, I'm planning to open the tournament for second votes later on. :)
