I don't understand why the writers are pushing A Mai to be with Shang Yi Zhi either. They should have just followed the novel and not changed so many things.

I hope the writers surprise us and have Mai end up with Chang Yu Qing too.

Yes, in the novel A Mai did not love Shang Yi Zhi at all. Shang Yi Zhi may have come to admire A Mai but they did not have romantic feelings for each other. The romance between them is forced by the screenwriters.

In the novel, A Mai loved Chang Yu Qing and they had a lot more interactions.

The marriage between SML and FL is fake. She just did it so she could try to get revenge against Chen Qi. They're not husband and wife.

In the novel, FL loves SML. In the drama, the writers changed it so she loves first male lead instead.............

I wish 😢. He didn't show up at all in episodes 23 and 24. For a second male lead, he doesn't have that much screen time but when he does show up, it's the most interesting. Such a scene stealer 💖

This. I started episode 23 and it was so boring I started watching it at 1.5 times the speed. I just can't get myself to care for the first male lead and the politics in this show is not interesting to me.. I'm only watching it for Chang Yu Qing at this point.

I feel like the rating decreased because people got sick of the male lead's antics. It's still a great show though 🙂

I'm giving him bombastic side eye every time he shows up now. I can't even laugh at his funny moments anymore since I'll be thinking of what he did. That scene made me like him even less and made me sympathize with the second male lead even more 😣

Yep. Mai has the most chemistry with Yu Qing in that 1 episode they were together (episode 21) than she ever had with Shang Yi Zhi in 22 episodes.

I couldn't stop smiling when they were holding hands and when Yu Qing hugged her lol.

I just saw a cdrama reviewer on YouTube say that Mai supposedly ends up with the third male lead, Tang Shao Yi......... Honestly, I'll take him over the first male lead 😅

After watching 20 episodes, I don't want her with the male lead either. All their "romantic" moments look so silly to me. They have zero chemistry. Any other guy will do, even Tang Shao Yi. I'm totally fine with her ending up alone as well.... Just not Shang Yi Zhi please 😣

Seeing the comments on here, this is the first time I've seen everyone agree that the second male lead is better. It seems like everyone has second lead syndrome and I do too 😢

I would have preferred it that way too. I wish they didn't change what happened in the novel. Like I can't really root for the first male lead because he seems so immature.....
