The chemistry between Xiang Liu and Xiao Yao is so intense that every other guy pales in comparison. She gifts him poison every month as a sign that she's thinking of him while he takes her on these amazing ocean dates in return. As Fang Feng Bei, he teaches her archery as well as takes her out to restaurants and casinos. To me, it seems like she has the most fun around him and he can take away her sadness just by talking and spending time with her.

I don't see the spark with Jing either... we barely see him and Xiao Yao go on dates and whatnot like she does with Xiang Liu

You'll see more of him in season 2. He's one of the best grandpas I've seen in cdrama and novels!

this is so true. I was surprised the novel had shorter time with Xiang Liu compared to the drama. I thought it'd be the same.

Yes, Jing finds out that baby is not his. Later in the story, Jing suspects the baby isn't his after his sister-in-law (Hou's wife) gives him a hint. Jing and Xiao Yao come up with this plan to expose his evil brother and wife.

After they're exposed, Jing and Xiao Yao resume their relationship.

I think drama TSJ is better too. I thought reading the novel would make me understand his character better and root for his relationship with XY. However, his appearances in the novel are so light compared to the drama and it doesn't show his perspective which made me feel indifferent to the novel version of him :|

in my opinion, the only man that comes close to Xiang Liu is Dongfang Qing Cang 💕

I would've been partially satisfied if she found out what he did for her 😭 Maybe Ah Bi or Ah Nian will let it slip in the future

Also, I think if XL really did confess that he loves her, the other guys would have no chance

for real, his ending was so tragic and I tried to hold in my tears but that epilogue though. I couldn't hold it in any longer and cried so much!!! 😭😭😭
