Oh, please be serious. I utilized the character to make a point. How many people know the character Christian Grey and how many people know of the dude in their neighborhood who likes to whip his wife's ass before pounding her into pleasure-filled oblivion?

I'm well aware of the BDSM community's issue with Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm not here promoting it-- merely utilizing the character of Grey as a common reference point. Most people aren't well versed in BDSM entertainment, so I used what was available.

I have a question ⁉️ What is Chi cheng characteristic? aggressive or possessive
He's possessive, domineering and a sadist (he gains pleasure from hurting his sexual partner-- think Christian Grey). Suo Wei likely wasn't walking funny just because it was his first time with a man, but because Chi Cheng spanked him hard. Chi Cheng does have an aggressive side, but it's mostly focused toward sex.

I agree. The tropes are PLENTIFUL. 😄 So much so, that I'm watching and laughing along as they pop up like one of those whac-a-mole games. For me, that's been a huge part of the charm of this nutty series.

The actors are doing a great job with bringing the characters to life and the directing and overall production is way beyond the quality of the first adaptation of the novel-- these are all wonderful bonuses-- but the initial story was ludicrous and eye-rollingly cliche. I genuinely don't want them to tone those elements down, because it'll rob the charm of lunacy from the original material.

Hey guys, can you please use spoiler tags for things that haven't happened yet and will happen in the future?…
When you encounter spoiler comments, you can also report the comment as containing spoiler info and the site will automatically apply the spoiler label to the comment and hide it for future people scrolling through the comments. It's not an ideal solution, but it does help others in the future and make it clear to those who are being inconsiderate that their behavior will be addressed by others.

I was really liking this series up into the last few eps. All the manipulation, threats of rape, toxicity, tropes…
It is based on a story that's titled Counterattack. It's not meant to be fair nor pretty. Suo Wei started this craziness by going after Chi Cheng for revenge. Everything that's occurred, after that point, is due to his initial violation for the sake of petty retaliation.

Of course, that's not always pleasant to witness, so I can understand you choosing to bow out.

To get you to understand what it really means to do a favor in this context, I'd have to explain more about how the acting industry works than I'm willing to do at the moment. So... let's just settle on: It's a "favor" on both sides.

Yeah, the kiss scene really didn't meet my expectations, it was still too messy and didn't give a feeling of emotion.…
What were you expecting from the kiss scene? Are you hoping for NC-17 scenes? I thought everything about the episode was exactly appropriate for what Revenged Love is. It's a Chinese BL-- we're lucky we're getting this treat to begin with.

Whenever something like this happens, it's meant to keep "Support Role" off their credits. A "Guest Role" is a bonus-- meaning the actor is doing the production a favor, while "Support Role" means the actor is beneath the "Main Roles" in both pay and status.

Also, who is Go Jun? That name doesn't appear in the credits.

The way episode 11 ended had me screaming with laughter. The director and editor really knew what they were doing and left me in the same state of unfulfilled yearning that Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei were in for most of the episode. Bravo, Revenged Love team!! 👏

My theory is some who were watching it gave low scores due to the show unexpectedly not being aired on Monday…
It's simple, really. You aren't one of those types of fans I'm referring to. I noted that the score only dropped AFTER episode 11 didn't air as scheduled.

There are varied types of emotional instabilities and a myriad ways of acting out behaviors tied to those instabilities. Some dive into relatively harmless conspiracy theories, but remain strong in their support, while others choose to punish and negatively impact the object of their ire.

My current score for this series is 9.5 and I've been patiently waiting for the airing of the episodes to recommence.

I can't claim I'm a diehard fan of the series nor of the actors-- I'm not financially tied to the series, in any way, nor do I personally know any of the actors. I reserve the label "diehard" for the things and the people who really matter to me. I am, though, a very satisfied viewer of the series, as, so far, it's been a very entertaining watch. The actors have been doing exemplary work with bringing the characters to life and the script for this series, the directing, cinematography and the soundtrack have been of far greater quality than Falling in Love with a Rival, which was the previous adaptation of the original material (Counter Attack).

You do know that unstable people exist, yes? Refusing to state the obvious isn't virtuous; it's disingenuous. I'm not being unduly harsh. I'm being honest.

Yes, the type of fans we've seen harassing the actors are Chinese, but the Chinese citizens aren't the only fans capable of this type of behavior. This segment of the BL fandom is prevalent, like a riotously metastasizing cancer that's choking the joy out of the actors' lives and most BL online discourse.

Regarding the show's MDL score dropping from 8.9 to 8.6, the drop occurred following episode 11 not airing, as expected, on Monday, 7/14, and the online discourse was dominated by viewers being annoyed that there was going to be a delay with the episodes airing or banned from airing by China. Me arriving at the conclusion that these type of unstable fans were utilizing down-voting as a means of making their ire known is logical in this context.

You may disagree with me. You have every right to do so.

Would you agree our dialogue has come to an impasse and, as such, we can both move on?

Wo!! Honey child, as Shakespeare famously wrote: "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

I never accused YOU of being one of those viewers; yet, here you are unnecessarily taking offense. Are you, by chance, outing yourself to me!? 🤔

I'm a happy fan of this series, as are many others. Still, there are some viewers who've been acting out the true meaning of the word fan and have been behaving like fanatics. They've been filmed physically and verbally harassing the actors-- essentially losing their ever-loving-minds-- stalking them both in person and online. This type of behavior is unacceptable. These young actors simply did their jobs to bring us a fun series. They shouldn't have to deal with lunatic behavior by fanatics who are clearly unhinged. I don't believe, for a second, that these individuals wouldn't stoop to down-voting the series to show their ire because the show unexpectedly delayed the regular airing by 4 days.

By the bye, you're the one who jumped on my reply to another. I don't know you nor was I ever attempting to insult you, personally. That you've chosen to personally take offense is very revealing.

Why doubtful? A good quantity of the viewers of this series have proven themselves to be emotionally unstable. Down voting the show due to dissatisfaction with not getting episodes when expected would be par for the course for these people.

What the actual fuck is this? Why the hell did the rating drop so low? Whoever tanked it deserves to rot seriously…
My theory is some who were watching it gave low scores due to the show unexpectedly not being aired on Monday and Tuesday. of this week. That left a lot of people very upset, as they received no advance warning.

Firstly, Tape is a star-- a bonafide leading man. Yes, he has a rugged beauty that's typical for Thai leading men, but it was his incredible charisma and strong acting, as Sun, that anchored a very rocky ship and held the series together. And what a rocky ride it was-- periodically baffling editing and a core mystery that often spiraled out of hand and into the realm of a jumbled mess of misdirection.

Other PROS
• Sun's group of friends— lovable, loyal and ready to lay their lives on the line for each other.
• The actor who portrayed Songphum, Sun's father, is a wonderful actor.
• Sun's sister;s were both adorable.
• The character of Jun Ho. A real pain in the ass, but he possessed hidden depths and the actor portrayed the character well.

LUKEWARM
• The character of Peace. My feelings for the character remained lukewarm throughout the entire series.

The CONS
• The vast majority of the baddies. Collectively, they had the emotional complexity of cardboard.
