I disagree with your opinion, regarding the dynamic of the intimacy in the scene. For the characters Sun and Pat, it's in accord with the dynamic of the emotional intimacy that was established between them in the series, which is subtly different than the characters' dynamic in the manhwa.

I beg to disagree and I have to wonder if you and I read the same manhwa.

This scene in the manhwa was animalistic and borderline brutal in its intensity. The scene in this series is far more tasteful and intimate, without going completely into porno vibes, as the manhwa does.

The musical score is unexpected, in a good way, with a blend of different genres.

That scene was very tame compared to the manhwa. From experience, I can confirm that physical intimacy, when combined with s*x and desperation, is rarely tame and covered, strategically, by sheets placed artfully. Considering that these were two grown men, in the prime of their lives (and not high-school/college-aged boys), this scene was tastefully done.. If they'd tried to make it a PG version, it would have been silly and very out of sync with the overall vibe of the series.

The series failed, badly, to convey that a wish was made and everything worked out at the end. They can say whatever they want, after the fact, and it's irrelevant. For everyone who watched the series and didn't follow-up with some live replay, then the director and writer dropped the ball and messed up royally.

Boat and Oat tried, but not very hard, except for the NC scenes. And, yes, effort went into the show, but it really wasn't enough. ABO Desire had it's issues, but in comparison to this, it's award worthy. 😅

Their efforts primarily being invested in the NC scenes is part of the problem. They know that their audience is tuning in for those scenes and will forgive everything else, so why do they need to bother to make an overall good series? It's cynical-- callously calculating.

Nah. The script is the problem, with a very poor plot. Moments are simply being strung together with problems in continuity and cohesiveness. Put that together with amateurish directing and very mediocre acting, it's a hot mess.

Both Oat and Boat are better actors than the effort they're putting into this series. They're basically phoning it in.

The pilot for the series had much better acting, directing and scripted lines than we're getting in the series. It seems they started with a good idea and then, during the expansion of that great pilot, they went the cheap route and just phoned in it, because they knew the audience would still watch what's essentially boiled down to slop.

You're not the only one who's read the story. Please practice some discipline and allow others to experience the magic of a story's unfolding for themselves. As a prolific reader, I've never understood why the younger generation hungers to steal others' joy.

This series feels as though it was written by AI. It has the ideas of what characters would say to each other, but spoken by humans, those lines are stilted and unnatural-- no human could make them sound anything but empty and ridiculous. If not for how unintentionally funny this car crash is, this hot mess would be unbearably boring.

The "crisis" has just begun. If the series follows reality, what was shown in episode 3 is just the tip of the iceberg. Right now, Little Jane is squirming out of the love bombing trap Big Jane was snapping shut. His survival instincts are kicking in, but he's not fighting for himself, yet. He's struggling because of the things that he was told Big Jane was doing to others and what he heard and saw Big Jane saying and doing to his friend. Big Jane has yet to pull out the big guns of manipulation and outright control and aimed them directly at Little Jane. The crisis is going to ramp up when Big Jane realizes that Little Jane is fully willing and capable of freeing himself from the trap.

Regrettably, I can share, from experience, that when love bombing is combined with intense sexual attraction, things move very fast. A true, healthy connection doesn't have time to build, but it feels as though it has-- everything is heightened and it's hard to think rationally. By the time you begin to come to your senses and the dominoes begin to fall as rapidly as the faux connection was built, you're already mired in the engineered relationship and the person who enacted the love bombing, as a control tactic, makes it very difficult to untangle yourself. That's when the gaslighting and guilt-tripping begins, and things spiral out of control, sometimes dangerously.

Sadly, what they're showing in this series is very close to reality.

Let's be honest here: Bees have stronger survival instincts than Little Jane, who is evidently thinking with his "little Jane" instead of his brain.

His lack of a personality can't be blamed on the country bumpkin aspect, as his sister is overly vivacious. Clearly, his mother is very emotionally manipulative and treats him like his life is only worthwhile to get his family's needs met, but come on! His character being so weak makes me dislike the other character who's supposed drawn to him. Why is he drawn to him!? Is it because he'd a limp doormat? Ugh.
