🙃 Trauma can block our ability to be emotionally honest, as we hide away our delicate hearts to prevent them from being smashed again; therefore, a person's outward behavior sometimes doesn't reveal their emotional truth. Between the two of them, one's an actor with no emotional shields-- he loves like a star in the sky, shining his light without reservations, while the other is a chef hiding behind walls of strictly controlled behaviors and emotional distance. As for the chef's real feelings? Keep watching.

Takara could be Xu Kai's brother in a drama. This is officially in my top 5 japanese bl!
I thought the very same thing. The similarities in their appearance-- even their walks-- were eerie. Iwase Yuji is more muscular, but I kept seeing Xu Kai's face, especially when Yoji smiled. I can't believe they're not related.

In Argentina there is high profile divorce between a famousTV Diva Wanda Nara and an international soccer player…
So the man isn't, at all, being blamed for his own self-destructive and violent behavior? How typical.

On A Breeze of Love Mar 17, 2025
This drama left me feeling warm and safe-- the type of feelings that the character Dong Uk required to feel safe enough to sleep peacefully.

So many miscommunications or lost opportunities in romantic relationships are caused by fear of rejection or inability to recognize or accept one's own deep need for a safe and loving connection. Love doesn't need to be the type of raging and chaotic storms that are prevalent in dramas-- those that toss us to and fro and leave us shaken. Love can be as gentle as a summer breeze and, often, it is this type of gentle love that heals us, as we are left feeling safe enough to unfurl and fully open our hearts, just as the petals of a flower do in the warming rays of the sun.

A Breeze of Love represented this emotional truth very well.

Han is handsome but Yun? His make up is distraction me lol. Anyway the kiss is good compared to handsome young…
Interestingly. the actor who portrays Yun always looks like that-- he looks exactly the same in his profile picture and in the series Checkered Shirt. He's just one of those people who appears to be wearing makeup, but naturally has shadowed skin around his eyes.

Omg it could’ve gone real bad
Life can always go real bad-- it's the nature of being alive. Sometimes, you can make all the "right" choices and end up with more misery than you could ever have envisioned. Choices made without a heart full of love, more often than not, lead to emptiness. Life requires courage.

9.5 out of 10

This drama was an unexpected gem. I was not expecting the level of quality-- wonderful acting from all actors, beautiful cinematography, exemplary direction and truly lovely score. I was locked in from episode 1 and remained fully engaged up to the final seconds of the series.

Every episode was a taut tapestry of emotions. Some of the episodes almost choked me with their emotional intensity. I could feel my heart thumping and growing heavier as the episodes progressed.

Pond's portrayal of Wang was eye-opening. The man can ACT! I felt every single one of his emotions as they either simmered beneath his seemingly placid surface or exploded out when he couldn't contain them any longer. His relationship with his mother was loving yet fraught (for good reasons), and I could always glimpse his longing for his father and attraction to In. Pond needs to be given more serious dramas, as some of the BL scripts he's had to work with just aren't up to his talents.

I read a lot of reviews of those who detested the mother character, but I really appreciated her, because I could see that she was modeled after Elizabeth Taylor's character in WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF and the actress, Mam Kathaleeya McIntosh, did a stellar job of bringing the emotional roller-coaster of an alcoholic and narcissistic artist to life. Her acting almost had my jaw on the floor many times. It was out of this world. She understood the character's selfish motivations so deeply, that I couldn't hate her for her behavior, even though in many ways I wanted to shake her.

Life can sometimes be one big tangled web of complexities and this drama plowed right into the heart of those tangles. They didn't try to wrangle a contrived ending out of what were intensely complex relationships. Life doesn't always work out the way we desire. There are some who are selfish, some who are brave of heart and others who are cowardly and when they meet on the battlefield of love, rarely do we end up with a warm and cushy resolution.

In the end, the series was a beautiful sledgehammer to my heart.

BRAVO!! 👏👏👏

😤😤😤no chemistry bro.🤔i got bored i want to see some angst i heard season 2 has some angst can i skip…
No chemistry? Interesting tastes you have there. If you're only looking for angst, watch something else, as the true power of season 2 lies in caring about the main characters. If you're just in it watch characters suffer, then I'd suggest another series.

“It will be better for everyone if im not with him” why? Why would it? No explanation either. Bl logic nonsense…
You think that it's merely BL logic? Ha!!

I didn't end up with the love of my life because he's my best-friend's brother and she asked me not to date him, because she'd always ended up losing her friends who fell for him. So, for years after her request, whenever he approached me, I kept pushing him away. Now, 27 years later, we're both still in love with each other, but have led separate lives to such an extent that it's too late for us to be anything, officially, but family friends. Still, everyone who comes in contact with us when we're in the same space (his partner, mine, our friends, our family members, co-workers), have a hard time ignoring how we respond to each other's presence. My best-friend eventually told me she was sorry she ever made such a request, because she could see just how much the two of us love each other-- she called us human magnets-- and felt she'd really f-ed up by interfering. As much as possible, I continue to avoid spending too much time in his company, as both our lives would be completely upended if we ever let the attraction have free reign.

Sometimes, fiction seems strange to you because you've never experienced something in your own life that's similar, but that doesn't make that fiction logically inconsistent. The decision that was made by Dong Hui made sad yet perfect sense to me.

controversy?
It's so disturbing to me how truly repressive South Korean society is. The rules are so brutal-- seemingly, every few days, wonderful people are having their lives shattered due to the most asinine reasons. Too many talented people have chosen to self-delete because of how draconian the culture is.

This has begun to affect my desire to watch South Korean dramas, because I'm beginning to feel that though the actors are putting on a good show, behind the scenes their lives are curtailed to such an extent that happiness is impossible.

If I didn't buy my ex-husband underwear, he would have been using the same ones he'd owned for years. Most men just don't concern themselves with that stuff until they fall apart.

Title The Eclipse
Cna anyone suggest me best BL series, this is my 1st time watching these.
Listed by country. For the non-Thai series, please keep in mind that each country approaches their BLs with their particular cultural perspectives, so be prepared for a noticeable shift from the Thai esthetic.

Those that have stars are simply not to be missed. The others are very good or good. There are many others, of course, but I chose the ones that proved to be worth it for me to watch, in their entirety, with no urge to fast forward or skip scenes. The two with these symbols (⚠️❗) should be approached with caution-- they're excellent, but also pack emotional wallops.

Enjoy your BL journey!

On Bad Guy My Boss Mar 12, 2025
After trying valiantly to finish this series-- leaving it behind and returning to try again and again-- I finally tapped out midway through episode 10. Life's far too short and precious to waste on something with such terrible acting and mediocre, bordering on nauseatingly atrocious, script. I happily shifted it to the "Incomplete -- not worth it" pile and that's where it will remain.

Yes. All that! The script was atrocious, the acting, somehow, got worse as the series progressed, and certain scenes were clearly unnecessary and only there to add time to the series.

So, saw the Official Pilot for this series, but considering how many Thai series don't measure up to their brilliant pilots, I'm not going to get my hopes up too high. I do really like that Pond's chemistry with Peterpan is far more believable than his chemistry with Earth in Fourever You.

I agree. How Zongzheng Huai En expressed his possessiveness towards Jin Xiao Bao was out of order, but it's understandable considering Zongzheng Huai En's overall mental state.

This series reminded me, a bit, of Story of Kunning Palace [Chinese]. Xie Wei possessiveness towards Jiang Xue Ning was almost as bad as Zongzheng Huai En's.
