You can easily watch most of them in your phone or tablet with the iQIYI app for android or apple! It's a bit more challenging if you want to watch it on your computer though... As someone suggested me in here, I've downloaded & installed an android emulator for my computer -called BlueStacks- that's fairly easy to use, then from the app store inside there I installed the iQIYI app for android phones/tablets. I managed to download & watch all non-VIP episodes from there!!
Is there a place to watch episodes 41-48 except iQIYI app VIP? (Don't get me wrong, I'd love to support the makers to watch it, but I've tried & I'm getting an error message every time I try to sign up in the app! :/ ) Also, does anyone know the schedule for non-VIPs? Will the remaining 8 episodes all come out next week, or some next week and some the week after that?? Cause I can't wait!! :D
Some other remarkable female characters: Lady Mishil in Queen Seon Duk, Yin Lihua in Singing All Along, and -maybe the smartest and most self-controlled female character in a drama ever- Sheng Ming Lan in The Story of Ming Lan!

Did you try using some adblocker?? I use uBlock Origin with Mozilla Firefox and never had any problem even with shady sites..

Hi! Just want to ask if can I watch this drama without needing to read the novel and not get lost and confuse…
You can definitely watch this without reading the novel, though sometimes the plot gets a little confusing, especially at the start. Maybe you'll need 10-14 episodes to get 100% fully immersed into it!! I read some people's comments who haven't read the novel that they rewatched the hole thing after episode 33-34 when the got back to the present, and then everything that didn't click before now did.. So maybe it needs a rewatch, kind of like Nirvana in Fire, after the mysteries have all get revealed, to enjoy it even better & notice the small details you didn't get the first time! Well, in any case, it's such a enjoyable drama, you'll not regret watching it!!! (The only people actually giving it very bad ratings [5 to 1] are, I think, either homophobes, or people who can't enjoy anything historical/fantasy in general so it's not their cup of tea)
So, I just edited the tag "Romantic Subtext", and added the description: "The romance between the characters is only implied, but it can turn obvious with a careful watch, if you read between the lines. Mainly used in bl stories due to censorship." Let me know what you think of that. Also realised that another relevant term would be "fanservice" haha! Sorry for the slightly irrelevant comment.
Btw, these directors & writers rock!! They should give lectures on "How to Escape Chinese Homophobic Censorship & Make the Fans Head Over Heels With Your Work At The Same Time" hohoho!!! :D
