Ah I just finished ep 14 (loved everything up to this point) and I can already sense the incoming angst and frustration from the ep 15 preview, so I'm just gonna stop here for now. I hate putting dramas on-hold when I'm so close to the ending, but after spoiling myself from the comments, I don't think I'm ready to face that unfavorable ending.
Honestly, the only thing good about this show is the romance. Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Shik are insanely adorable together and in my opinion, their chemistry saved this show. Nothing pissed me more off than the crime/mystery aspect of the show. I can't believe how dumb everyone was. It took them the entire 16 episodes to finally catch the criminal even though they had a solid hunch of the suspect early on. They tried to be creative and juxtapose the cute bubbly romcom aspect with the dark eerie crime aspect, but it just didn't work for this show.
The show is very enjoyable so far. The characters are pretty well-developed and the story doesn't fall flat. Of course, the pattern of Hong Joo needing to be saved by Jae Chan, who in turn needs to be saved by Woo Tak may be starting to be too repetitive and predictable, but I'm interested to see how the consequences of their changing the future will be, because there's no way you can just change the future and have everything be okay just like that.
"One iced americano and your number please. I heard you don't have a boyfriend right now." - Dae Hwi to Nam Joo
OHMYGODDDD HE STOLE THAT LINE FROM THE GIRL WHO CONFESSED TO HIM; THAT'S SO CUTEEE
Also Tae Woon singing to Eun Ho was absolutely heartwarming! They're too cute together, I swear ;w; <33
is it a good drama?is it worth it to try or not? i liked school 2013 and 2015 but i thought this one is not good…
I think it's worth trying out. I was also skeptical at first, but after I got through the first two eps, I started getting sucked in and now I'm hooked. :) The latest eps have been amazing, so even if you're not convinced by the first few eps, keep sticking around because it keeps getting better~
I love how badass Dan Ah is. She doesn't take shit from nobody nor does she let people get in the way of her goals, but I do agree that she's taking it too far by blackmailing Kang Soo for money or beating up that guy who she thought was her stalker when she didn't really have any evidence. She's rough and does have her moments when she'll rub us off in the wrong way, but I'm excited to see how her character will develop and soften.
I'm also pleasantly surprised at Ji Yoon's character. I thought she would be a naive, stuck-up rich girl, but she actually knows how to navigate through the real world.
Needless to say, I'm loving this show's female leads and I'm excited to see their characters develop.
I was skeptical about this show at first, and I gave up watching this show after the first ep. But upon reading the comments and seeing the ratings go up, I decided to give this show another chance--and boy, was it one of the better decisions of my life. I'm actually really enjoying it, despite it major plot flaws (like why they didn't just do a DNA scan on the blood or use the CCTV to see that Eun Ho came into the office after the suspect, so it couldn't be her)
I'm only on ep 2, but I'm already loving the chemistry between Eun Ho and Tae Woon. I'm excited to see their development. hehe
Also, that DOTS scene in ep 2 had me rolling. It was simply beautiful.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOY END OF EP 10 GOT ME SCREAMING Thank you Dong Man for quickly clearing up the misunderstanding and…
YESSSSSSS Dong Man be breaking all these kdrama cliches.
First, he went back for Ae Ra after witnessing her kiss Moo Bin. Now, he's stopped a forced kiss from happening!
Joo Man is a pain to watch right now due to his indecisiveness, but it's a shame to drop the show! Ae Ra and Dong Man are literally on fire with their chemistry plus their stories and interactions make the show enjoyable enough not to drop. If not for them, I would've probably put this show on-hold as well because of Joo Man's annoying indecisiveness and that bitch ex.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOY END OF EP 10 GOT ME SCREAMING
Thank you Dong Man for quickly clearing up the misunderstanding and going straight for the kiss. Hye Ran better have saw them so she can BACK OFF NOW.
I can't wait for next week's episode. askhsikgh
It was so heartwarming when Ae Ra showed up at Dong Man's fight but was covering her eyes and ears. Even though she hated seeing him fight and get hurt, she still wanted to support him and his dream. It was even better when Dong Man recognized her in the back of the crowd and went straight to her, telling her he won so she didn't have to worry anymore.
God, I love this pair so much.
Dong man needs to taekwando kick moo bins ass out of south korea.
Thank god he's gone now because I don't think I can stand seeing his face any longer.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and he stabbed me right in the back.
I tried really hard to like this show, but in the end, I couldn't do it. I'm just not feeling the female…
I'm not saying Ji Wook wasn't frustrating when he was denying his feelings as well. I just feel that the way they are both consciously denying their feelings (in their respective times) is exasperating to watch and for me, it weakens their chemistry. They have their cute moments and I do get excited for them sometimes, but not in that excessive way that everyone else is feeling right now. It's probably my personal preference, but I don't like when the romance focuses on characters denying their feelings--in this show, Ji Wook denying his feelings for quite a few episodes and once he stops, Bong Hee continues the trend of denial.
I realize I'm with a minority here, but let me explain why Bong Hee is so annoying for me. First of all, she acts very independent, but the truth is that she actually depends on people too much. When Chan Ho called her to tell her about who bought her those shoes (the murderer), she went by herself but didn't have the balls to go into the park because she sensed something fishy. Thank god she was smart enough not to go into the park, but shouldn't she have already been suspicious from the start? And why'd she call Ji Wook when she was trying to get over him? We all know when someone rescues you from a scary situation, you're only gonna fall more in love with them. Also, I hate how the story depicts her as a "lesser" lawyer, like she isn't as good as the other lawyers. Even though Bong Hee personally wanted to take on the Hyun Soo case and defend him from being convicted as a murderer, Ji Wook did most of the work and talking at the actual trial. I really wanted Bong Hee to take on a more active role during the trial in that case, since she feels a stronger, more personal connection to the case as she's experienced the same situation before, but they just had to let Ji Wook take over.
I don't know, I just don't see myself keeping up with the show anymore, since it's not too interesting for me. It's unfortunate though, since I'd really like to like this show, but it's just not happening. Enjoy the show for me, guys.
I tried really hard to like this show, but in the end, I couldn't do it. I'm just not feeling the female lead. Bong Hee is too annoying for me. Even her romance with Ji Wook is lacking. I just can't feel their chemistry. What's driving me crazy is that she's pushing Ji Wook away despite his confession, yet she's still in love with him. I absolutely hate it when characters do that. Like please, STOP DENYING YOUR FEELINGS AND BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF. I had to drop this after ep 18, because Bong Hee is just unbearable. Even though Ji Chang Wook is doing great portraying Ji Wook, it still can't stop me from dropping this. Other than the lackluster romance, the crime plot is also getting boring. Crime has always been a hit or miss with me, and right now, it's a miss. They're dragging it out too much.
