I know that the HIStory series are from Taiwan and your article was specifically about mainland C-dramas, but…
Yeah, we watched the same drama, but you found it necessary to lie in your comment here and say that the younger step-bro "drugged" the other, which is just flat-out false. The older brother sat at his bro's bar and got wasted of his own volition. The younger helped him to a hotel room where he began to undress him and talk to him at the same time. The older admitted that he loved the younger, he reached up and pulled him down for a kiss/makeout, responded to a BJ and knew exactly what was happening. Just because you're drunk doesn't mean you can't consent to sex, though I know it's fashionable to say so these days. If that were true, what of cases in which BOTH people are inebriated when they get it on? Are they guilty of raping each other? Who goes to jail? Both? After how many drinks are you incapable of consent? One? Two? Five? None? Another 5 million people just had drunk sex this evening...guess they'll all be going to the police station this morning to report themselves for rape.

BTW, the hotel room scene was HOT af. Which reminds me to ask: Did you watch the entire scene? Did you drop the series after that episode? Did you suffer grave mental and emotional damage from seeing a fictional series present a gray-area sex scene? You do know those are actors and that no one actually had sex of any kind, right?

This is well-made, well-acted, but not sure what to make of it. I guess it's another little slice of life in the Korean military piece, which seems to be a living hell for anyone who isn't already an asshole/douchebag/bully type. The main character here seems to be a sweet, kind, sensitive guy, who are of course the first to be sniffed out and tortured by assholes. I guess the dude in charge f**ked him? This could make the basis for a feature-film, because I want to know why this guy is THAT degree of submissive and fearful. I'm pretty sensitive and don't like to fight and hate pain and violence, but even I would react pretty explosively to having someone smear shit on my nose or fuck me in the butt without my enthusiastic consent. He even allowed himself to be bullied by those prostitutes. I want t know why. he is this way.

My hope is that in the world of the film, he did NOT do what it seemed he was about to do at the end. To do so would be to end up in jail for years and years, which would be even MORE of a living hell than the military. Unless he's planning a M/S in which case he wouldn't be around to suffer at the hands of ANY bullies, anywhere. God, I hate people like those douchebag army mates of his.

Finally, here again we have that hateful, aggressive, nasty attitude I see in so many Korean films, where just regular people are constantly vile and vicious in their speech toward anyone who they perceive to have slighted them, even to the smallest degree. WHAT is up with that? Is that the way it is in Korean society?

The best part of this for me was to see Joo Jin Mo, who will forever be my King of "A Frozen Flower," in an earlier, younger role. He was, unsurprisingly, magnificent.

I get that this is 20 years old, but the ending is one of those annoying tragic gay endings where everyone ends up unhappy/miserable, even though it by no means needs to be that way. Why would the older dude continue to burden his wife with a husband who cannot love her? Why would the wife want to remain in a passionless marriage with a man who cannot love her romantically? Despite what her voice-over says at the end, she knows good and well what went on between them. Why should the husband and the younger guy not be together, whether in Korea or the U.S.? Why would the older guy not return his lover's calls after went to the U.S. despite having specifically agreed to take his calls? The answer to all of these things is that it is a gay-themed movie so everyone must end up broken, regardless of logic.

But the film is beautifully-acted, filmed, directed and set to music. Joo Jin Mo is just astounding, especially in the night-time scene in his apartment after learning that tragic news and Moon Gi came over. Watching his face as he gave that monologue facing the camera with MG behind him was devastating. I am not at all surprised. He was spectacular as the King in AFF.

So I liked the movie but hated the ending, but wasn't at all surprised so I'm not that upset about it. I shed my tears in the scene mentioned above and that was good enough. 8/10 I would have given it a 9/10 if not for the ending.

He did NOT drug anyone. His step-brother drank like a fish and got drunk. Then he acknowledged he knew who he was about to have sex with, told him he loved him, and initiated some hot kissing. He also responded enthusiastically when his sex partner gave him a blow job. If that's assault, bring it, baby!

ERM ... WHERE IS HIS4? THAT RAPE SCENE ANYONE?????
YOU say it's rape. Normal people heard the older character fully recognize his partner and initiate the action. It was drunk sex and it happens a million times every night/day. lol

It has a date rape scene, some think of it as sudduction, I see it as problamatic to say the least and interpert…
"So I guess it is up to the viewer to decide on that,"

WOW. Imagine that: Leaving it up to the audience member to perceive and interpret the contents of a drama as they see fit. What a bizarre concept!

But then, you gave yourself away up-comments where you admitted wanting warning labels on certain dramas. Will you be writing those for us?

Wow, this was disgusting but the most vile aspect of this little piece of filth is that it was apparently conceived of and made by some grown-ass man. lol I could much more easily accept that some resourceful high school kids or college freshmen made this thing. It's just clever enough in a few spots to be kind of gross-out entertaining if you go into it with the right mind-set which is that you're going to be seeing garbage made by juveniles. In a couple of spots the gross-out makeup is actually pretty good. But again, a grown man did this. Holy god.

I'm kind of glad I saw it just so I can tell other people how twisted this thing is I found on the Internet but I wouldn't encourage anyone else to watch it.

Also, this is not at all really very gay. The main perv is gay but we mostly see naked girls and apparently a young straight couple at the end who somehow came back to life after being butchered just to be butchered again while going at it on the floor.

It is nice to know, though, that there are people sicker than me in the world.

Yeah, and you do you, which is being "outraged" and "offended" and all the other BS over someone's expressed annoyance with sniff-kissing in a BL. If you can't understand my short comment, I can't help you. My points are clearly and briefly stated.

You go on and on about how "western-style" kisses are rarely seen outside the bedroom in Thailand and then readily concede they are all over the place in Thai BL, along with all other kinds of fun and racy behavior. Sort of contradictory.

No, my little SJW person, there was nothing "triggering" (fave SJW word!) in your comment other than arrogance and eagerness to lecture and seek offense at the slightest imagined provocation. Horny school boys hot for sex, and school boys are ALWAYS hot for sex, do not "sniff kiss," they stick their tongues down each other's throats. But you were seeking a reason to go off on somone and you thought you found it.

But you do you too!

Kind of a cool, funky one-off but I have some questions:

Wouldn't the perp select someone more attractive and less...chubby? Or I don't know, given what it seems he does with the marks, maybe some fat on the bone is a good thing.
How would the perp have any idea that the mark would start scoping out HIS place through the glasses?
Wouldn't it give you pause to see a professional person, who surely carries a set of keys, leave their house key under a plant pot?
Wouldn't it give you pause if you knew you had the perp's keys in your pocket, that he didn't seem to notice they weren't under the pot when he came home?
Would you lay out someone for those purposes on a clean, apparently unsoiled bedspread?
I did find it comical that the mark thought nothing of it when that saran-wrapped item, clearly what it appeared to be, fell out of the frig onto the floor. lol He picks it up with annoyance and puts it away.
I liked the perp's taste in accessories...grape clusters, lol

This had potential, needed some loose ends cleaned up to be totally effective.

You mean “Lorena Bobit” him ?! Actually happened in USA.
So you think that's an OK thing to do? Or is this tongue-in-cheek? If I posted about cutting off a cheating wife's breasts and filming it for social media, would you think it just as funny?

Frothymix, if you can't handle criticism about your favourite drama, why don't you just stop reading critical…
Before I go any further, let me make sure of something: Before getting halfway through your first sentence you seem to imply that "Addicted: Heroin" is my "favorite show." Is that an accurate inference? If so, and I think it is, you have extremely poor reading comprehension skills. I never came close to saying any such thing and it is not anywhere close to being true. I'd put it somewhere in the lower half of my top ten perhaps, but there are at least nine other dramas ahead of it in my estimation.

So, since you can't get through your first sentence in this comment without making a false statement, either deliberately or by lazy reading, I have no intention of engaging you on anything else you wrote. You're arguing with phantoms.

"You’re questions are rude. At least attempt to have some manners when communicating."

This is what people who don't like to have their way of thinking or their statements challenged always say: "oh, you're so rude!" lol

It is telling that you did not ANSWER my questions, in particular the ones about whether or not you finished the book. I'm guessing you did so. Am I right? Even though you were non-impactfully shocked by its content?

The book Addicted Heroin is based on is so, so, so much worse. I was shocked.
Just to let you know I found the book on Wattpad and already started my read. It's funny so far but I can't wait to get to the dirty and shocking parts. :D Thanks again!

So...you were "shocked," which usually implies a powerful response to something, but in a way that lacked impact? Hmmm...that's interesting. Regardless, did you finish the book? Or did you stop where you began to feel this impact-less shocked response. Did the response include any degree of sexual arousal on your part or was it purely negative?

Really? That is awesome. Thanks for sharing. I will definitely seek it out. Oh...you say you were "shocked." Did you stop reading because of your shock? Or did you keep going because you kind of...liked being shocked? Are you sure "worse" is the word you really want to use? Cause it sounds like the book might be so much better. :)

ugh. This is awful. Bad acting. Over-acting. Super-fake cheerfulness. Predictability, even in the first episode. Just plain bad, unimaginative, cliche writing. I could go on and on but why?

When the main dude started losing jobs, why didn't he just go sell his body in downtown Bangkok like they do in gay-themed Thai films? Problem solved!

Dropped after 1 episode.

Oh for god's sake...go be offended elsewhere. How many zillions of Thai BLs and gay movies have I seen with full-on, tongue twisting, make-out scenes far outside the bedroom? A LOT of zillions of them. I guess the makers of those Thai BLs don't know Thai culture as well as you do.

BTW, your give-away words were "offensive" and "problematic," always first draw BS terms from practicing SJWs seeking to be put upon.
