This movie has two aspects that deceive people.Firstly, despite the marketing, it is not a detective mystery in…
hahaha...I realize this little billboard, as brought to us by the SJW drama police, was posted two years ago, but when I saw it and started laughing, I had to comment.

I want to thank the poster for giving me a heads up as to the movie being "heavily proglematic" and containing "toxic tropes." When I see BOTH of those top-five SJW censor-words in a description of a film, there is NO way I am NOT going to watch it.

I expect to be challenged by several scenes and I'm interested to know how some basic human behaviors, which is all many tropes are, are handled in this film. Here I go! Thanks stupid person!

Yo that dude he met was TRASH. Who tf just goes through someone’s bag like that? And then googles what kind…
EXACTLY to everything you wrote. The lead's reaction WAS over the top, but I've a feeling this is far from the first time he's had to deal with such viciously ignorant people. I do like that the hookup reached out at the last second...meaning he had given thought to his behavior and his ignorance and liked the lead enough to let him know he was feeling regret.

Yeah, I agree with the commenter below: MORE people should see this wonderfully-made and effective little film. The lead's overall loneliness and sense of isolation was palpable to begin with, and then to have that horrible, humiliating experience on top of it. My heart was breaking for him.

I do understand the hookup's very human fear, but there is no excuse for his ignorance and viciousness. Of course what the hell was he doing going through someone else's bag in the first place. But in 2021 as a gay man and not know the facts about HIV/AIDS, there's no excuse for that either. I think people keep themselves ignorant out of a stupid, base desire to feel that they could never contract such a thing, that only those OTHER type of people need to worry about it.

The little surprise ending was a positive note, both for the characters and for the future as little by little, fewer and fewer people are hopefully this dumb.

Curious as to how it changed your point of view on the "bad guy?" He finally lost me for good when he went back…
Kira's mother never gave him the chance, nor encouraged him to tell the truth, she simply told him and every one else that there was no way HER son did such a thing. It was all about her, her, her. No empathy for anyone, including Kira I think. She saw him as an extension of herself. She saw herself and Kira as the victims in this saga. The father finally left the two of them, at the point when they were about to move a second time. Which wasn't the right move either but I think she just drove him over the edge. I was so glad when he slapped her at one point. From a directorial standpoint, the main problem is that the film is about 25 percent too long. I think the director was just getting off on himself past a certain point.

This show is extraordinarily good. All the unexpected details, depth, horror, anger and even humor...god, the feels. I love this show, which I found by accident on someone's rec list. Didn't sound like something I'd get into but I gave it a shot and I am totally hooked four eps in. I'm going to be sorry to see this one end.

Crazy-good acting.

This is really a moralistic and anti-sex review of the series and sort of creepy. Sounds like you have problems…
Oh, and it's telling that your comments are purely personal in nature. Yes, you're right, anyone who is not currently a drunken whore should not respond to gay films. Damn, there's that "moralistic" thing. I'm guessing you're a sex addict who defines his worth by how many dicks go up his butt in a month. Oh dear, was that personal in nature?

Are you Gay? This review sounds like someone who doesn't identify as Gay, but claims some LGBTQXYZ status based…
You seem to think all gay men are drunken cock-hounds who think with their dicks like you. You probably can't carry a conversation that doesn't include the phrase "fuck yeah, fuck me harder."

This is really a stupid and pro-promiscuity response to my post and sort of dumb. Sounds like you put out for anyone who staggers by at the the bar while you're drunker than hell and you think that's the default behavior for all gay men. I'm gay, btw, and have been both drunk and laid more times than you can ever hope to be.

The rest of your babbling is below my standard for deserving a response.

hi! i'll give you my personal thoughts. well, the title means peter pan dream, we can see minha drawing peter…
In a way, even though those girls were hideous, their presence in the film seemed to me a bit of commentary on fujoshi-types who may see gay boys/men and their relationships/struggles as entertainment for their amusement and forget that these are flesh-and-blood human beings with sometimes deep challenges to face. I absolutely loved it when Minha grabbed that girl's boob and what he said to her shocked face. His action and words were so spot-on as to the effect their behavior was having on him. Their reaction as he left the world, however, made it clear they hadn't learned the lesson. I was REALLY shocked when he grabbed her breast, as if anything, I thought he might be about to slap her. But that's another example of great, creative writing providing the unexpected to keep me hopping.

On edit: I want to add that I am for the most part a big fan of the fujoshi-type girl/woman who gets a thrill from following the ups and downs and ships and what-not of gay male relationships. Without fujoshis there would be no BL genre to begin with. I don't even get annoyed with the comedically over-the-top ones we see in many BL series. I think people take a stock BL character type way too seriously in those cases. And I have seen series where the fujoshi's favorite hobby/interest is truly founded in some kind of maternal affection for the men she's shipping. I find it adorable and have wondered where the hell that comes from, but obviously it is a real thing in real life so I don't think the average fujoshi shouldn't feel the need to explain her fascination. It's been around for a long time. Straight women have long been strong allies of gay men.

I feel kind of bad about it, but as a gay man I feel ZERO interest in the straight and Lesbian relationships around me and in drama. I would be lying to say otherwise. Does that make me a bad person?

hi! i'll give you my personal thoughts. well, the title means peter pan dream, we can see minha drawing peter…
Hi Brie. Thanks so much for this wonderfully long and heartfelt reply. You have me all teary again thinking about this stunning little short...I haven't been able to go back for the second watch I want because I know I will lose a lot of time crying and then recovering and I've been busy. Plus, I want to give all these thoughts and emotions time to settle well before returning to the film. Good god, I'm about to cry. Yeah, this is a unbelievably powerful little film.

I want to find reasons, on second watch, to convince myself that minha didn't kill himself; that he ran away. Either theory works, except for Minha's comment about not wanting to live anymore and his cutting. I thought it was downright bizarre that Sangbum didn't take that cutting a whole lot more f**king seriously than he appeared to. He acted like cutting yourself is no big deal, which I don't know, could just be sloppy writing, but this show is hardly sloppy. I guess it could be said that Sangbum isn't a deep thinker to begin with but Jesus, if someone I was close to at that age, let alone my boyfriend, was cutting himself, I'd be very alarmed.

What do you think?

Yeah not sure what I think about this after first watch, though I doubt I'll come back for a second because it's about 1/3 longer than it needs to be. The rage-dance in the grass/Mom running around streets scene could have been cut altogether. That mom is a piece of work. I was actually glad when someone finally let her have it. She NEVER gave her son the chance to tell her the TRUTH. She wanted him to repeat after her the words she put in his mouth.

I found this really powerful and thought-provoking. I was frustrated for both the victim and the perpetrator.…

He finally lost me for good when he went back to the site of the killing and started tormenting the kid who had been with him the day it all first went down. Other than throwing a tantrum apparently because he did not receive from Itsuki's parents the instant forgiveness he was seeking, I'm not at all sure what that was about.

Umm in some countries parents actually end up killing their gay children especially in Asian countries. Not to…
I know all about homophobia in Asia. I'm talking about the absurdity of letting an old codger who couldn't aim a gun straight if his life depended on it, call the shots, so to speak. You take the gun, have him committed and go your own way. Or if you cannot do that for some reason, SHOW me why not. Don't expect me to buy some geezer weakly waving a gun around as the reason you can't be with your BF.

Well, to me this was, rather than erotic or disturbing or disorienting, just kind of boring.

Oh...and implausible. For one thing, the kid was bigger than her when she found him, yet she was subduing and tying him up and stuff....? No.

You mean “Lorena Bobit” him ?! Actually happened in USA.
You are a JOKE for allowing your bitterness at what you claim to be your father's assholi-ness turn you into a victious, hateful person who writes shit like you wrote.

My point stands: If some dude had written on here about how he was going to cut his girlfriend's tits off because he caught her cheating, or if someone wrote a comment "joking" about seeing such an incident reported on the news, there would be riots in the streets of MDL.

Weird that you think being able to write posts about cutting guys' balls off/killing them without anyone calling you on it is the center of joy in your life. I don't know anything about your dad and I don't know if your story is true. Why would some guy's mistress go to the funeral of her lover's wife? Either way, deciding to live YOUR life as a douche, just like you say your dad was, is probably not the best way to react to any of it.

Having an affair is not the worst thing in life and there are a million different reasons why it happens. I admire people who come through such a challenge with their original relationship intact. I guess you'd like to see half of those people murdered. Some people are GLAD their spouses take a lover; it takes the pressure off them or they're unhappy anyway, or they already have a lover of their own.

The world is made of GRAYS, not black and white. Grow up and quit joking about cutting off guys' testicles as if it's witty or something . It's stupid.
