I'm just remembering how long Thailand and Philippines took to put out some decent BL so...fingers crossed Hong…
Haven't there been LOTS of Hong Kong BLs? I've watched them.

A guy who thinks of himself as straight and has perhaps never consciously been attracted to another male in his life, who then meets a guy who connects with that latent gay streak in his nature and blows up his world, is pretty much the very definition of what BL is. So why are you here looking for something else? Such men exist, you know.. Sexuality is a continuum so it is entirely logical that there are going to be males who are way over toward the straight side in general, but not COMPLETELY there. Then along comes Mr. Right and all hell breaks loose. This is fundamental BL 101.

I am pretty damn gay but in my mid 20s I met and dated a young woman who for whatever reason, I have no idea what, connected with the little, bitty spark of straightness in me. We had a great, sexually hot relationship for several years. Gradually that connection faded and the relationship ended, but that's not true for everyone in the same circumstances. Try opening your mind.

I agree that there are a lot of BLs, especially old ones, that portray a pretty gay-negative message even as their main character goes wild for dick. But that's changing more and more rapidly. Drama is about conflict and confusion and angst and anger and lust and shame and all kinds of juicy stuff inherent to the BL genre. If you really are offended by it...don't watch it.

Even coming out in the 1970s I didn't know of any suicides. There are probably some. Probably rare. At the time…
Who is this royal "we" you keep referring to. Reality is not tiresome to anyone with the ability to google, which apparently you lack. I'd send you links but don't WANT to know the facts so I won't bother. And gay kids killing themselves at alarming rates isn't a "special drama." Jesus, go back under your rock.

it is not available thats why, it is coming on Gaga so when we will see we will comment.
Again with the "we." Like I said, if I saw it online, it's available. Doesn't matter HOW it's available. It's there.

Wow. Your comment is so arrogantly ignorant and stupid it took my breath away. I thought about suicide a lot as a kid, already at the age of nine. Statistically, gay kids kill themselves at a much higher rate than their straight peers. Who is this "we" you mention? If you didn't "know of any suicides" in the 1970s it wasn't because they weren't happening, it was because you were ignorant of what was going on around you and didn't care because it didn't seem to effect YOU.

Your suggestions that open discussion of gay suicide among the young is just a means for psychologists to get money and that suicide awareness actually causes suicides is stunningly stupid. Good god, get some information and some empathy. Meanwhile, don't bother responding. I will block your ignorant ass.

Holy shit.

Second watch after a year or so. I had completely forgotten how insane the "plot" of this movie was. I think maybe I was overwhelmed by the visuals: lots of gorgeous cinematography, two drop-dead sexy men in the middle of it all, walking around in their undies and wife-beaters a lot, lots and lots of sweat on those bodies, etc. I'd forgotten how ridiculous the physical placement of their little love nest was. I'd kill to be an office worker in one of those nearby towers. lol

But I have no idea how I forgot how the tragic incidents, any one of which would be enough to anchor a movie of its own, kept piling one on top of the other right until the very, very end. And the inconsistencies, plot holes and implausibilities are far too numerous to list, though I'd love to do so just forfun. It just became silly at some point and I stopped caring about any of the horrible things that were happened and just enjoyed looking at Cloud and Stone. First time I saw Stone I thought MR. THAILAND 2007. Such a beautiful, beautiful man. Almost too muscular, but that's a nice problem to have when the actor spends half the time in his tightie whities. Cloud was not quite as beautiful or regal, but possessed a powerful sexual aura. These two together are one o f the hottest couples in BL history. So what if Stone can't act? Who cares?

So...I'm glad I came back for a second go-round and I'd recommend one watch to anyone, as long as they understand not to expect coherence, attention to detail or consistency and don't mind grand, operatic music overlaying everything that happens.

I guess overall it's a pretty ridiculous movie but damn, these two guys are smokin' hot.

Downgrading from a 6.5 to a 5 and that's only because of the hotness factor.

I laughed my ass of for about three and a half eps, then once the fujoshi seemed to get that the two guys weren't gay for each other, it got kind of boring. The sight-gags that had me rolling around laughing no longer worked for me. Maybe I'll come back and watch the rest sometime. The fujoshi is adorable, the two dudes are gorgeous, the front-desk Trans or cross-dressing guy is hilarious, and so is pretty much everyone else. Just kind of lost me in ep 4.

But god are they good-looking.

lol, thanks for all that. I can't even remember what I read in comments, but something tipped me off that this was pretty bad but there was something worth seeing, plot-wise, in 9 and 10 which I guess turned out to be annoying Fiat seeing Leo with that girl at the end of 10. I did a lot of fast forwarding, lol, but saw Leon and hit the play button, he is so good looking. So that's how I accidentally discovered Leon and Pob, who are adorbs. Now I actually want to see 11. I'm looking forward to how bad Fiat's acting will be when he goes all melodramatic over this girl-kiss we saw. And hopefully I'll get some more Leon/Pob along with that.

I could def see Leon/Pob as the MC in a new series, but you have to have conflict or it will just be boring. So maybe one of Leon's many conquests from the past turns up and somehow manipulates him into the sack with booze and lies and arranges for Pob to catch them. Sort of the same flavor as 2gether With Me's big boink. Good writers can make almost anything happen, but it has to be done in a believable way. That's what made that 2gether With Me thing so agonizing: They set it up so well, with Korn and Knock in an argument/misunderstanding and that supervisor getting Korn drunk. Hey, I've seen almost that exact thing happen IRL among acquaintances, so it wasn't hard to believe.

Oh, thank god...someone agrees with me. This is the worst of the worst.
lol Hi Misha. Funny you saw my comment five years after yours. These are two of the most bizarre characters in the BL Universe, which is saying something. Who cuts their boyfriend dead without explanation because a lot of freshman will be paying attention to him? wtf? Talk about manufactured conflict. And then there's the social-phobia dude who whispers about everything he says, especially if it's Gil's name, and has the spinal fortitude of a dishrag?

To be honest, I watched the last couple of shows to see how weird things could get and because I kept thinking I must be missing something since they're considered classics, I guess. Still can't believe it's rated 7.6. I gave it a 4/10.

Oh you gotta have drama, brilux! :D Even cheating, which twists me into knots and puts me throught the kitchen disposal, is worth it depending on how things come out in the end. I love/hate things in dramas that make me crazy and make me cry. lol Have you seen the series 2gether With Me Again? When Korn banged that sleazy supervisor from work I almost lost my mind, haha, but I also loved the agony of the feels.

To ANY BL FANS OUT THERE: watch episode 13 & 14. BL story between toxic bully & his pushover ukke. I'm into the…
Thanks for your recommendation. I watched only those two eps and am glad of it, as the production was pretty cheesy overall. I couldn't stand Death Girl, or how she stood around in her witches' cape and hooker boots, all done up in black leather of course. :)

Da Dong, love that name, is a good actor and very handsome. I agree he did a pretty good job with that character arc. And he had me in tears at the end in the hospital room. Xiao Lin on the other hand, was appealing in general, but when called on to do sobbing and despair, I found him tearless and unconvincing. I also agree this would make a great BL launching point for a followup exploring what happens next to these two as DD comes out at school and hopefully is in relationship with XL. They'd have great support and great animosity.

I liked the lady teacher and the security guy too. Especially when he beat up DD. Sorry, I'm not a complete pacifist like XL. Sometimes nothing will work better to change a bully than a few minutes of his own medicine.

Lots of plot weaknesses.
Wouldn't Da Dong have gone to jail/prison? He nearly killed XL!
Did he think he could do that and then just walk away?
How did the teacher get DD to rehearse and perform that very nail-on-the-head song and same-sex dance at the festival? The script didn't even deal with that. Just all of a sudden the homophobic bully was intimately dancing with the gay boy he loved/hated in front of the whole school? Ummm...no.

Just like XL, I would totally return from the brink of death if I knew my new boyfriend, the drop-dead-gorgeous Da Dong was there waiting for me. Big-hearted under all that bullshit, too.

What!! What was that?!!(The bed scene was great though).
I hear you. I think it's one of those pretentious, "art" films made deliberately to confound the viewer. If you dare to ask what the story or meaning of the film is, you'll likely hear "what do YOU think the story or the meaning is?"

Yes, the sex scene was hot and I was struck by that image of the bride and six or seven men in what appeared to be white tuxedos arranged in a pattern on a knoll at night on the other side of a pond. No idea if it had any "meaning," I just liked the picture of it. They reminded me of those little wooden peg dolls.

Thank you for your very thoughtful and informative comment. Wonderful food for thought.

No, I def did not mean to imply that people with DID should not be allowed to have adult relationships. I meant to point out that their partners, in this case WZ, may be giving up the chance to have a balanced, relatively equal intimate relationship if one of the DID personalities is significantly immature or childish.

You are certainly right that this is rich material with a lot of possibilities to explore. Such as is there any way of knowing at this point, who YS would have been as a grown man if the horrible trauma of his childhood had never taken place? I guess the obvious answer is NO.

Again, thanks for your comment. I will enjoy and get more out of the show on the next watch because of it.

Well, it's not that I always want a happy ending. To know every film was going to end well would be boring, but it pisses me off when the writer and director throw in something in the last seconds that makes little or no sense, doesn't come out of the previously told story to that point, and seems to have one purpose: a devastating emotional strike at the viewer.
