Title Marry My Husband: Japan Spoiler
I hoped for a harder backlash tbh. No one really told the villains how shitty they were. Way too much compassion…
I also thought that Misa showed compassion for way too long (there was even a brief moment in the Ferris Wheel of her still considering to comfort Reina) and much preferred Jiwon not caring about her two biggest problems pretty much right from the get go.

The revenge definitely gets more focus in the Kdrama it's actually the main theme there.

The female villain gets a much more appropriate ending in the Kdrama and webtoon with getting the Park Yeon-jin from the Glory style ending (rotting away in jail) and having to hear that the female lead is now happily in a new relationship and cut her out of her life.

In the Jdrama it gives the female villain a power move against the female lead with committing suicide since she will never forget about her. It's likely since they had to give someone the falling down somewhere fate of the female lead established in the Jdrama version and since it was more condensed with fewer episodes and since the female villain in the Jdrama version has a more messed up backstory than the one in the Kdrama (who is more petty).

The male villain in both versions is killed by the female villain however in the Kdrama version there is no moment in which he asks for forgiveness and there is just mild sympathy with his parents since he was their only child.

Had to say..... Reina is very much smart.
She really analyzed a lot of the previous situations and spoonfed a lot to Tomoya (who likely never would have realized the entire scope of Misa‘s plan himself).

I was rewatching some parts and noticed during a dinner scene (Episode 4) between Wataru and Miku that she points…
Yura was also just a character in the novel and not in the webtoon. The Korean adaption is said to be based on the novel and the Japanese on the webtoon so there is a good chance she is cut entirely. There is also not enough time left for her I think (the mother of Misa and father of Reina could potentially still appear as well).

I think Reina seems way more serpent like, calculating and more intelligent.

I liked the Korean version, but it had many flaws you had to overlook to enjoy it. For example, KJW wasn't stylish…
That Misa has doubts makes it quiet realistic. While she knows that Tomoya and Reina are capable of potentially having an affair she doesn't know whether it would work out right know regarding timing/what they might want right now let alone that they will 100% end up married.

Apparently development plans for a possible Japanese adaption of the webtoon started shortly before the Korean version was greenlit from what I have read.

I'm glad that they made some changes in the j version. They are keeping me interested in this drama
A shot for shot remake would have been boring. Also that the characters are not 100% carbon copies is better as well. Makes some plotlines less predictable. It's a good thing that both series were in development roughly around the same time.

I'm not familiar with Koshiba Fuka but she is a superb actress! I wish I hadn't watched the first two episodes…
I think both Koshiba Fuka (she was also really great in the recent Ooku series) and Shiraishi Sei are definitely actresses whose projects are worth checking out. The entire cast in general is really good.

I think they should have played up the evil friend claiming in front of the classmates that the FL has to be grateful to her for recommending her for a job while it’s exactly the other way around (which was one of the things claimed in the Korean version) which was not mentioned either. Her claiming to be more successful and then being exposed could have worked quiet well in the Japanese adaption.

Another thing what the Korean reunion did was the evil friend claiming the loser boyfriend of the FL as her own already and having told the classmates that the FL tries to steal him from her which the FL clearifies as well (it also shows already that the ‚friend‘ wants what the FL has just to spite her).

wondering if they'll also make the ML regress because I get the feeling that he's still in his original timeline…
I think they have to switch up the writing quickly now in general since for example the evil girl shows almost zero interest in the loser fiancee of the FL so far.

It has been adapted to Japanese culture (in a positive way) compared to the kdrama, this one feels much more formal.…
I actually think that removing the earring plotline in the class reunion downplayed a lot.

It removed how cunning and calculated the evil friend is by giving the FL the worst possible imitations while herself getting the best possible imitations so that she looks better in contrast.

The ML warning the female lead that the earrings are poor imitations was at first seen by the FL as arrogant but then she realizes that he warned her that her ‚friend‘ wants to ridicule her.

The stepsister of the ML lending her the real earrings.

Why did even he catch her?🙄It was not even in novel. That b### never a change to a little bit conversation with…
That‘s so far a scene which dropped the ball especially since he is supposed to despise both the loser ex and the false friend. I think in the webtoon or novel there was one scene in which the evil friend tried to approach/hit on him (when she found out how wealthy he is) but is immediately rejected which I hope happens at once (but I did not like the weird music playing in the background at all).

I have watched the Korean version entirely before.
What I did not like so far in this version is that the class meeting felt lackluster.
The other thing is that I hope that the evil false friend shows more interest in the useless husband of the FL. The fun of the story is wanting to see them two trashy people running into their demise.

What was the weird scene at the end of episode 2 supposed to be?

Otherwise the cast and acting is at least decent and that they didn‘t try a shot for shot copy.

Do someone think that Mei will be replaced? This is a Taiga drama after all.
No news on this so far. However her character Nao is just a fictional first love of the main character Hidenaga. She will likely be killed/die somehow etc. and since she isn‘t important she could technically easily be rewritten or recast. Yoshioka Riho is the one who is actually cast as the wife of Hidenaga. Mei‘s role is mostly just a gap filler role.

These scammers have also just arrived now that the Li family is starting to get more prestigious and their prestige will increase even more soon.

It‘s more likely that Kang Ning‘s twin brother who is believed to be dead might return soon, marry the adopted daughter one day etc. and carry on the Li name than this boy being an actual part of the Li family and inheriting.

So they will likely need Hao De‘s significant other who is a judge against these scammers from the end of the episode.

After this with Le Shan and her significant other there seem to be many imperial plotlines.

I definitely think that Kang Ning‘s twin brother might also still play a role.
