I know this is from 4 years ago, but I watched the original British version of the film. It was a really lovely film, so if any remake is done well, it could also be a lovely film. Sadly, if it's been 4 years and no update, I'd guess it isn't happening.
I'm hoping that this awesome drama gets even more viewers now that it features an Oscar winning actress. Although her part in this is perhaps not as big as some of the others, everyone contributes to an incredibly moving and emotional drama.
I'm generally pretty easy to please, but I found this so slow. It never really went anywhere and as one or two…
Pretty much anything would be an improvement. After I watched it and discovered there was a version that was a series, I thought "Great, maybe this will give us a bit more insight to these cardboard cut-outs." Then I read comments saying that the film gave more context. I can only imagine how much worse the series version would be.
It just felt like not a lot really happened, to me. I've seen far better chemistry between male leads in a whole bunch of K-Dramas that I've watched. I'm just about finished with Goblin, and the 2 male leads in that have more chemistry than the 2 guys in this one. As others have said, it just all feels a bit superficial. This was the first Korean BL film / drama I've watched. I can only hope that others are better.
I hate to be the turd in the punchbowl, but this was just meh for me. There’s almost no romance...they didn’t…
I'm generally pretty easy to please, but I found this so slow. It never really went anywhere and as one or two have said - there's next to no character development and we never really know anything about them. It was hard to really care about them as they were basically strangers to us!
How not? In the final scene of Windstruck, Kyungjin was saved by "The Guy". In reality, it was Gyun-Woo,…
Well, The Girl wasn't a police officer. According to MSG, they also met at the train station. The Girl was drunk on the train. Kyungjin wasn't drunk. It's a nice sort of shoutout to MSG, but it is in no way a prequel.
One thing wasn't clear for me in the end, was he taking her back to the clinic or maybe they were running…
Late comment, I know but I imagine he was just taking her for a drive whilst she remembers him. I think everyone would have understood she is in the right place (clinic)
There are a couple points in this film i didn't understand. What happened exactly to the guy who bled to death?…
He didn't kill himself. He was sleeping. She interpreted something he said earlier in the film as him also being a doll. Because he said this, she wanted to let his air out and breathe air back into him.
Unfortunately, as he was human, not a doll, this was kinda fatal.
I can't comment so much on the apple girl. I think she, like the egg rice guy and some of the others, was just to show how alone people are.
Why only 7 as the review had no elements or examples of a less than great movie? I'm just curious what your negatives…
Myself and my wife felt that how quick people turned depended on 2 things. 1) Were they killed / near death (ie being ripped apart would turn you quick and 2) Were they trying to fight turning? Douche guy seemed to take a while to turn, probably because he was focused on making it to Busan. The 2 Hero guys took a while because they were willing themselves to live long enough to save others. Does that make sense?
browsed through your list and the scores you give are painfully low. I'm curious about your standards... One thing…
Whilst I disagree with films needing a closed ending, I'd also disagree that there wasn't a closed one in this - the film was about the journey to safety, and it's pretty much implied that they are now safe. At least as safe as one can be in any zombie infested country. It's much like the film Gravity - it ends at the right time because it's about the journey.
Zombies films are normally mindless entertainment with very little explanation. It was nice to watch a zombie film that actually felt like it had had some money spent on it!
But as you say, different strokes for different folks. My score was actually similar to yours but higher when compared to other zombies film.

Jebus. Incredible drama, but definitely was not what I expected!
