This little drama was quite an oddball... watching it felt like having stepped for a bit in a back-alley and ending up instead in a bizarre alternate world... it smells like an allegory to me, but maybe I am reading too much into it. The peculiar characters and their stories are tragicomic and the viewer might be baffled most of the time. You need a healthy dose of black humor to digest what you're seeing under the reign of the Underground Government... but at the end of the day serious matters like xenophobia and alienation are at the forefront of this drama.
A mature Matsuda Shota is the cherry on top of the cake, his acting here is perfect and his character oozing charisma.
P.S. This is only 10 eps. x 20 min long, so it's an easy watch...
