he killed them to steal the child so that the child wouldn’t be named the new king. He didn’t kill his brother but he stole his son so that he could steal the throne from the son. He’s a bad guy who had a bit of a conscience so he raised the crown prince and was good to him and spoiled him. But he still usurped the throne.

On my 3rd or 4th rewatch and still cried like a baby, zero fast forwarding, as close to perfect as it gets. Remains a 10/10 for me.

he looks exactly the same he’s just aging.

Se Jong is the best. if you haven’t watched My Country you should. He is the ML and it’s his best performance.

My Country is one of my top 3 Kdrama’s. And his character….. Seo Wi is one of my top 3 protagonists ever. Makes me cry every time I watch it.

can someone explain what “Country Jin” actually is or means.

Every time He Yu walks in this drama I giggle a bit because he has a very modern, very distinct walk IRL and he didn’t adjust his walk at all for the character but it’s somehow endearing.

Most satisfying villian beat down ever.

Am I the only person who thought this was an extremely thin plot with no real emotional pull or investment and it was just……. meh. Very Forgettable. Which is a shame.

It feels like we are speed running the plot. I’m curious how much was cut.
