Listen…… there are surely people here with agendas who are antifans of the actors but I promise you a lot of commenters are like me and absolutely love/ like the cast plenty and were really hoping this would be awesome and it’s just……… not deliving anything.
Conversely I think many of the commenters here are super fans of certain actors so they are equally as biased as the anti-fans.
The point is, for those of us who are just normal watchers without agendas who love Kdrama’s and RomComs, we are leaving UNBIASED feedback here for others to take or leave.
I’m 4.5 episodes in which is almost halfway and there’s no depth….. SIG has a total of maybe 5 minutes of scream time through the first 4 eps. it’s just not what I expected. I’ll keep watching but the fact I can watch it while scrolling my phone and I’m not missing any plot because the plot is so simple, cliche and tropy but not in a good way because it can be done well! but this is just not done well IMO with the exception of the guest appearances is not a good sign. It feels very all over the place but completely unoriginal. You can watch this and walk away while doing your laundry or cooking or working with it on in the background and you won’t really miss much of anything because there’s really just not much plot.
also, a MINOR quip, but Kdrama’s should not imitate the over filtering of Cdrama’s and plastic cinematography which Cdrama’s have finally figured out was way overdoing it and they are moving away from it. The filtering, color grading and cinematography here is too plastic and I say this as someone who loves brightness and pinks and pastels!
I’m 2 episodes in…. Someone further ahead of me please tell me it gets better. Right now it’s as bad as the slop webtoon she’s managing in the show. what an epic waste /use of Seo In Guk’s talent.
he’s not the only one they keep putting orange lipstick on. like 3 of the recent dramas I’ve watched all use a similar orphanage for ML and FL. it’s awful!
But this is what I image a slop Ai script would be.
The man deserves so much better.
too bad because so much potential was left on the floor due to that.
