Chong Zi must not be doing well for Tencent international(WeTv) because they completely removed it from the TV apps homepage and drama tabs so you have to actively go look for it under “latest” and they even moved it down below dramas that aired before it. they’ve basically buried it on the WeTV TELEVISION App. Ive never seen that before…….

the fact that CXX literally wrote all of La Mu’s scenes and La Mu is the shard that all viewers fell in love with means he really understood the role!
I couldn’t figure it out either. they also weren’t clear about exactly what you get for the $1.99
It said advance episodes and a bunch of other things also (I already have VIP) but sometimes they have special packages to get the last 5 episodes faster than even VIP so it should have been made clearer. I didn’t buy it bought was curious.

I feel like this is one of the biggest strengths of this directors projects…. Ashes of Love, The Blue Whisper and now Starry Love all build these really detailed worlds where every character is alive and no moments are wasted and you truly feel the friendships.

If you like Starry Love you will most likely like Blue Whisper. It had really mixed reviews but for me, it’s a favorite. You just have to get through the first 1/3 of the story which has a lot of hardship/abuse but it’s all for a purpose and the people you may think are bad aren’t and have reasons. Anyway, give it try and chance!

@Firefly88 it’s not totally her fault. they wrote her character like this and probably directed her to play her as a pouty baby. And directed Jeremy to play like a 60 year old senior to a pouty baby. the whole thing just doesn’t work romantically. it’s cringy. I’m ready for the Demon Arc lol
The Wan Jie arc was the best arc and should have been longer and leading right into the Demon Arc.
This middle arc was just done badly plot wise and character development wise and could be entirely or mostly skipped and it would not have much impact on the show.
I miss you Wan Jie. You were way more compelling to me as a character than Yifan/Shifu has been. Sigh. Bring on Demon Chong Zi. I’m ready for her.
I’ll confess. I skipped shortly after Wan Jie died to the point Chong Zi reincarnated. I’m pissed off at 90%…
the best part of the show was the Wan Jie arc. in fact, I liked their relationship chemistry way more than the ML /Shifu relationship. The whole show would have been better without this middle arc and making the Wan Jie arc longer, then killing her and her becoming a demon.
