In itself it's not bad imo, I've liked drama in past with triangle,
BUT when 99,99% Kdramas with Romance Feature love triangle, you begin to resent the trope, and the fact that screenwriters go lazy route and lack creativity.....

1. Is it really necessary to kill General Mo? The director did it again! He killed Wei Liang in Prisoner of Beauty and General Mo in The Road to Splendor. It has nothing to do with the plot!!! Just trauma!!
Just like how the emperor saved Zhao Ling, he could have saved General Mo! Even General Mo was with the emperor when he did not even become the emperor!!!

2. After all the dirty work the Yu family has done, this is their ending??? Ok we can except master Yu's death, but don't forget Madam Yu was also the mastermind. Why pardon her? And young master Yu? What do you mean Zhao Ling killed Zhu Jian because he had ill intentions towards Fu Ting Yun, but you are doing nothing with Yu Jing Xiu when he clearly kidnaped Fu Ting Yun!!!

Otherwise, this is a 10/10 drama for me, and the character Zhao Ling is in my favorite general list!!! Both main leads had great chemistry. I mean, I just love this drama. I am so obsessed now that the drama is end don't know what I am gonna do!!! This drama deserve more highest rating!!!

We don't get to unsee what has happened to each character and their interactions. The drama is already wrapped up. The actors, director worked off the script.

absolutely truee. Hagi has never been the third wheel. Chan just likes the idea of someone loving and supporting him no matter what. But him as a partner never noticed her, even when she was uncomfortable so many times nor her likes, dislikes. Hagi on the other hand has always done all the things a person genuinely in love would do. I love that the plotline portrays not to lose yourself while loving someone and being comfortable around the person you love is very important (sometimes we forget that)

In episode 8 Hagi was surprised by the article that Chan was dating Dareum. That shows he didn’t actually know they were dating. He wasn’t inserting himself into Chan’s relationship because he didn’t actually know that Chan had any sort of personal relationship with Dareum. Hagi only saw Chan and Dareum together when they were working and he noticed that Dareum wasn’t comfortable around Chan. She was always saying that she was fine when clearly she wasn’t fine.

Hagi started liking Dareum almost immediately after the first time he met her. His emotions have been building this whole time. When Dareum told him that she wasn’t dating Chan he was relieved because he was ready to back off if she was dating his friend. Hagi waited until Dareum told him she liked him before making a move towards her. His hormones took over and he kissed her immediately.

Chan on the other hand didn’t care if his friend Hagi had feelings for Dareum. He interrupted a business meeting when Hagi and Dareum were working. Chan put Dareum on the spot by asking her point blank who she preferred. Chan was not willing to back off and didn’t care if Hagi had feelings for her. Chan hasn’t really considered anyone’s feelings or needs but his own. Chan and Hagi are not alike. Hagi has always been considerate of others.
