Yeah, I personally always find wuxia to be the best genre and even if it has romance in it, the focus of the plot is more on the character's inner world and the outer struggle, rather than the romance pulling the plot along. So indeed I would be fine if Cheng Yi never had a romance drama again, or a drama were romance is the secondary focus.

That sounds like they already filmed it, so I can plan on there being a second season, right?

I have the same question! I did request it on Viki through their suggestion form, so people can do that. I think the Young Actor's Retreat got a huge response on Viki so I hope this one (with both Park Bo Gum, Ji Chang Wook and others) would do well there.

I know! I was so ready to jump onto this bandwagon so I'm glad I heard other people's responses first.

I feel that way about Goodbye My Princess. I never want to experience that again, so I'm giving this a pass!

Hu Yi Tian seems made for costume dramas! If only he had more on his roster. I first saw him in Handsome Siblings and fell for his face (didn't like the drama though), and with Blossoms in Adversity I can finally watch another of his dramas. I don't watch many modern C-dramas and they need to be REALLY good to keep me interested (like Under the Skin). So looking at his roster the only one I may try out is My roomate is a detective.

Exactly! It was highly recommended but I avoided it because the title was too on the nose. but actually it's a fun and thoughtful story, SO well written, that even during my many re-watches I continue to be surprised by the plot twists and turns.

Watching this for the fourth time, still makes me happy, still makes me cry. I wish there could be a second season but without hearing any news it seems unlikely. I just keep imagining what would happen in the second season to myself.

Yeah. I just finished the drama last night and started the webtoon, which does pick up right with that last scene. But the tone is definitely different in the webtoon. Brutal and nasty, yes, but I found it a little hard to enjoy after seeing Park Ji Hoon's delicate performances. I may keep reading if I can't wait to find out what happens, but I'm not sure.

She looked SO familiar in My Perfect Stranger that I was sure I'd seen her in a similar role before. Turned out she was in the Sound of Magic! But I was impressed with her acting by the end and it would be nice to see her as a totally different character now.

Move to Heaven was very well done, but darker than Taxi Driver because of the subject matter (dealing with the deaths of individuals). It's focus is to show respect and the preciousness of each person, which Lee Je Hoon's character and his nephew discover along the way. Because of its thoughtful and serious tone, I wouldn't recommend it for when you're feeling depressed, but it is good if you're up for a good drama. It is very similar to Oh No! Here Comes Trouble and If Only I told You a Million Times.

I'm really interested in watching some of these Satoh Takeru dramas or movies, but the majority don't have places to watch (aside from a few on netflix and viki). does anyone know where a good and legal place is that has Japanese dramas with English subtitles? It seems like a tricky genre to be a fan of.

I'm watching to see if this comes to Theatres in the US. At least it is on the wellGousa website, so even if not in movie theaters it should come to the US at some point through them. I loved the first one so I'm really excited to see the conclusion!
