Nope lol

A daunting venture as the longest drama I've ever tried to watch but I'm already a quarter of the way through two days later and so far it's one of my favorites. I'm hopeful with previous comments and reviews that this can hold up till the end; these are some of my favorite main characters in any drama I've ever seen.

I've tried watching this and every single version of it. Some are better but I've yet to make it through a single version. Can't stand the characters.

Well it's not a bad start, I'll keep watching it. It's not perfect, but I'd like to see more stuff like this from Korea so I'm not complaining if this helps start a trend. Sometimes I had to remind myself it was Korean and not Chinese lol.

Just finished first episode and that's what I was thinking too lol

Just started the first 4 minutes and realized I've seen this before...

Mother is one of my favorite examples of it, really moving.

Another comment about the fights scenes, especially when they focused on more than one person I found it poorly shot. There was one fight among the trees especially where you could hardly tell what was happening. They kept forgetting to add some wider shots so there were all these jumbled close ups that led to a poor representation of the fight.

This was surprisingly a bit boring perhaps because of the long runtime and it felt like I was watching a 1950/1960s western movie along the lines of Lawrence of Arabia (which source book is also depressingly boring) or Davy Crockett or any number of John Wayne movies stretched to the breaking point.
But there were some good scenic shots and fairly decent fight scenes. If you're expecting the brilliant fights from the like of the Wushu movies like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon though you'll be disappointed. No Wushu and the fights are decent but don't have that same pizzazz.

I wouldn't rate it quite THAT poorly, but I expected more from the other glowing reviews. I just found it pretty boring.

I guess the stickler is that it's too much of a kdrama. Way too many coincidences and intertwined fates lol. Let's see if I can think of them all. First she randomly meets him at an auction and in the airport for a fan "greet" of Cha Si An and then later he becomes her Director, but he's looking for those same paintings that her Cha Si An owns who happens to live in the same building (and the same part of the building) but it turns out that the paintings that caused him not to be able to paint are the ones his Mom drew who happens to be Cha Si An's mother but actually Ryan knew Deok Mi from way before all this when they met as kids with Eun Gi and uh another brother who Deok Mi has forgotten which means Deok Mi knew her Si An's older brother long before she became his fan and started her successful fangirling and it turns out that her mom pretty much kicked Ryan out after Deok Mi's brother died and they're now dating which by the way was a fake relationship so it didn't look like Deok Mi and her crush (aka her new boyfriend's brother) were dating oh guess what that rumor came about because of the daughter of the previous director at the art museum who also happens to be one of the major successful fangirls of Cha Si An happened to be stalking Si An and saw Deok Mi wearing Si An's brother's coat which so happened to be the exact same coat Si An owned and I love this drama
I can think of more don't worry but I'm done. Do dramas realize we like them just as much when they didn't know each other as kids?

I love this drama but episode 15 mostly had me twiddling my fingers. I thought they were already pulling a lot of kdrama strings as it was until this came along. But I didn't hate it and it still got me emotional and it adds character development and we see what a great relationship they have... But it's unnecessary and eyebrow raising.
But I love it.

Haha they're pretty different so far but hi school love on was just a bundle of fun. One of the first dramas I ever started.

Thanks for the article, I've only watched the first two episodes and given up for now unless I hear it takes a significant turn. Or maybe I'll just watch it for Park Bo Young...
