This movie had all the right components to be really good-the premise, the characters and their stories. But for some reason if felt a bit disjointed and shallow, I didn't really care about characters, which is a pity because that type of relationship (bromance or an ambigious/subtle relationship) is often my favorite. I think I would care and understand it more if I read the manga but the movie should be able to stand on its own...

What a good movie it is. The low rating here must be a joke, considering how many not very good dramas/movies, especially kdramas, gets rating 8.

Tang Chuan is such a great character.

The vibe and acting were really good but why was every character so stupid lol

The friendship was cute. What was that ending though??

I actually did not get, what exactly did Zero do to that Mitsuru guy? Did he take a picture of his gilfriend and win some contest or did he actually have an affair with her or sth?

I enjoyed watching it. I had fun. It was not a masterpiece but I did not expect it to be. Anyway, the last episode was a bit underwhelming and subtitles starting from 7th episode were not synched. I really liked Zero, though my favorite character is Seigi I think, the actor who played him should always dye his hair this color, it really suited him lol

Why not? If it's possible? Why do people need technology? why do people need homes? why people don't live in caves anymore? Progress is a natural thing for intelligent life

People don't have to like the same things as you you know, everyone has a right to like or dislike sth

Amazing movie.

Great movie

There were stabbing, cut fingers, blood and other things-this show is about a serial killer after all, they didn't show everything and to be honest I don't exactly know to which extent it was shown since I fast-forwarded some scenes and tried not too look at the screen when I knew sth was coming lol but the plot was just so interesting and it was worth watching mainly because of acting and plot-twists which were really unexpected

He was brilliant in "a bloody lucky day".

So you basically wanted oh taek to become the same kind of murdering psycho just like lee byoungmin huh? I'm actually quite happy he didn't kill the pregnant woman who was actually innocent, it's not like she knew what her husband really was. I'm glad oh taek managed to save his humanity and sanity. He would not even be able to see his granddaughter if he murdered innocent people bc he would never be out of jail. The only one he should have killed was lee byoungmin but he was punished anyway at the end.

And this is a VERY good drama. Brilliant acting, unexpected plot twists. A bit too much gore which I personally don't like and I had to omit some scenes but in general it was a great series.

Interestingly, I found the 2nd part of the series- from episode 5-onwards even more interesting than the first half which hardly ever happens to me regarding Korean dramas

I still did not watch the 2nd part but I read the comments here (big mistake but I can't stop myself lol) and judging by the comments I think that the controversy exists because the moral of the drama is that you should live for other people/your loved ones because they would miss you etc.

The thing is- many people don't really have anyone close, their families are often toxic, they don't have real, authentic friends or a partner etc. So after watching this kind of drama which suggests that you should live because others care about you may be actually quite depressing.
That's why many people write that ml should find his own reason to live,he should WANT to live for himself- to experience beautiful things in life, everything life has to offer etc. At least that's how I understand it.

Of course everybody is in different situation and everyone will understand this drama in a different way, depending on their personal situation, that's why there are differences of opinions here.

Who would you consider a good Korean actor then? I don't try to start an argument lol. I'm genuinely curious because I agree to some degree. And I have some favorites whom I consider good.

It's ok, the concept is very interesting, the execution is good...at times.
The show has its moments, ny favorite episode was the high school one, I liked the acting there. I didn't really like the 4th episode though.
In general I think the whole thing is much too shallow- sometimes it seems like It's some kind of a parody, it would be good if it was done on purpose but I don't think it is.

Well, I will watch the rest because it is kind of entertaining.

And? As far as I know 32 years old are considered adults (very much adult I would say) and they can choose to have romance with whoever they want lol

It's very weird for me to see that some people cannot accept that two consenting adults can have any relationship they wish, as long as it's not illegal. Frankly, other ppl relationships are not your business so I don't get your quite emotional comment about some random drama.

But the ending of ep. 5 annoyed me a lot, "Japanese people are not capable of that" Ali says about them executing his family lol
I don't know, maybe he was talking about some fictional Japan but the real one commited a lot of atrocities thorought their history, so I think they should be much more self-aware and self-critical instead of trying to play pure and perfect society lol
