I didn't watch Untamed and don't know anything about Xiao Zhan. I will watch Joy of Life because I like original novel and it has a good plot. It is upsetting that most comments here not about drama itself.
Hi there, we're a licensed service. Thank you for checking us out!
I have a question. Is embedding videos from youtube illegal? If it was like that this function wasn't implemented at all. People share videos all the time. At least they didn't just rip off youtube subs and place it on their site. But hotpot claim that they have licenses looks dubious. Some dramas seemed uploaded directly and I am not sure who's subs were used. Hotpot looks just like aggregator site. Are there original translations at all?
Girl, your "I like half bald guys" cracked me up! I concur KDramas and its fanservice is ridic. If Ten Miles of…
I just feel that hairstyle disliked unresonably. That was the era, so actors must be dressed accordingly. It's just unfamiliar. When I watched BBJX first time 4th prince was guy with protruding ears and 8th was man with refined face. I couldn't distinguish everyone else back than.
I like half bald guys. I find manchurian style manly.
BBJX was my first Chinese drama. I fell in love with Chinese language since when. I dropped Korean version after 1st episode because of ridiculous fanservice. Maybe BBJX has some strange CGI, still it was beautifull and meaningfull story full of ancient vibe.

My remark was only about poor quality of ChinaZone subs, which sadly is the only one available. I have nothing against link you posted, since I liked this drama very much and wish more people can see it.

I checked it. It is the same subs from ChinaZone. Because I still remember how they placed "Poem of Cao Cao" instead of an actual line, when this line was translated in the previous episode at the beginning of the drama.
thats a good point tho, never thought of it that way. but from my point of view, SMY's attitude lead to dissatisfaction…
I see your point. But even Sima Zhao was eager to fight instead of waiting. Besides Sima Yi was civil official, so at the beginning he was disregarded by most of the generals. Sorry, my understanding of more complicated Chinese dialogue is limited until I sit down and translate properly. So right now I can't say I thoroughly understand if there was a specific reason behind his lack of communication. I think the battle between Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang was more on a psychological level. Like Zhuge Liang wish to fulfill his promise to late emperor and must to advance no matter what, while Sima Yi see the waiting as his only option. And both of them have a threat behind their backs. They respect and admire each other but have to be enemies.
I think he discuss war matters only with his sons because he wants to appear more incompetent than he really is. Also at first he had Cao Zhen and later other general in opposition and amlost zero support in army.
i actually watch the three kingdoms drama concurrently with this one and i love the war part, the scheming, strategising.…
Yes. Zhuge Liang sent women dress (great insult) to anger Sima Yi and make him go into battle. But Sima Yi strategy was to wait until Zhuge Liang will be called back by Emperor of Shu, since he knew he is not as good as Zhuge. I do not remember if Sima Yi actually wear the dress in the book. In drama Sima Yi just the person who have great patience and endurance, that's why in the end he survive against all hardships.
I'am still at ep 33, so can's say anything about the ending, but I really liked the war part. I have read "Three kingdoms" novel, so I already know what is going to happen, still very much enjoy it. I especially liked episodes there, Zhuge Liang send dress to Sima Yi.
In the drama at least Cao Cao saw in Cao Zhi qualities that he (Cao Cao) lacked, qualities that he wanted the…
He wanted to unite the nation, but it was impossible, so instead of supporting weak Cao Zhi it was better for him to seek someone who can achieve it. As I see it, Cao Cao always detest Cao Pi for the same ambitious nature that he had himself. You are not Cao Zhi, so you are not allowed to have ambition and aspiration. He always uses Cao Pi to force Cao Zhi to fight for the heir position. We were shown how Cao Cao talks to Cao Zhi and gave him advice, but he rarely gave Cao Pi the same treatment. It is like love clouded his judgment. He feared that if Cao Zhi would not become an heir, his beloved son will be destroyed, but in fact it is his obvious favoritism fueled Cao Pi's hate. Cao Pi felt himself an outcast in the family. Like he never be able to reach his father's greatness. And at that time, Sima Yi promised him to fly high.

I agree, but as a father he was very cruel to Cao Pi. I think in drama Cao Pi always craved for Cao Cao love and recognition. I think that in the world of endless war Cao Zhi can't be a good choice. Cao Cao must first bring down all his enemies and unite country before appointing him. But after the Battle of Red Cliffs that was almost impossible.

I hope Korea will never produce a remake of NIF.
