This is really a youth series. Personally, I get very frustrated with characters who are too hesitant and not assertive; it's a matter of taste. In reality, it could definitely be attractive—the character who struggles to open up and connect, and eventually opens their heart is not a given, and it can be moving. In my eyes, it was stretched a bit too thin up to the very last second. The character Kikuchi Toma appealed to me more; he is bolder and more straightforward. It's also a matter of editing and plot. I mean, if only one of the main couple had been hesitant, it would have been reasonable, but when both are hesitant and neither speaks out loud what they feel, it becomes unbearable. You can't say it isn't interesting; it's just a bit frustrating, and lacks the excitement usually present in good romance. Nevertheless, it's not a bad series, which is why I continued to the second season.

The first two episodes were nice, but then it started to decline. It might be a matter of taste, overall, it's not a bad series, just not particularly good.
The actors are charming, all beautiful and cute with excellent acting skills,
Part of what bothered me was the righteousness of the main character and the lack of clarity of the male character, who was too hesitant and unconvincing in his intentions. I thought that maybe the main character would give herself more freedom as an adult who went back to her past, although, of course, it made sense that she would repeat the same mistakes.
There was something realistic about that, I guess, and I expected that maybe, because it was a fantasy anyway, they would do things differently, but that didn't happen. Maybe if I had watched it as a teenager and not in a binge, the impression would have been more positive because it's really not a bad series, just not a captivating one.

Idk if people are purposely ignoring your point but I agree with everything you said, imagine how good a drama…
Before these fascists started pressuring South Korea, women character(and maybe even women in reality) were feminine and strong. Now, all their characters are trying hard to fit into their fascist narrative—annoying, irritating, whiny. There's nothing feminine or strong about them, just another typical, engineered woman. They pretend to care about women's rights, but they don't care at all. On the contrary... the absolute opposite.

What are you talking about, changing the subject to feminism where it's not needed. It's not a fucking competition.…
Forget it, it's a waste of your time. Fascists never look at themselves in the mirror. They managed to ruin SKorean series a long time ago. I haven't watched them in years because of their fascist pressures. I feel like I'm watching another engineered American series.

Nonsense.
I have known the Koreans for 15 years, and I have also been there, so what? Nowadays, journalism hardly exists... If you are a Westerner, you have no right to cover South Korea and claim to be objective. All women's rights organizations and journalists who pretend to support women's rights have long lost their legitimacy and credibility. Korean women will take care of themselves; they don't need you.

The response you provided says it all and reflects who you are again. You're looking down on Japanese culture and making generalizations... 'another weird Japanese TV show, where we glorify what's wrong.' Those are your words.not mine.

The beginning was exciting, but towards the middle it became unbearable and I couldn't watch it anymore. They took a step forward and suddenly it was a step back again. Things just became unnecessarily complicated and eventually even absurd.
In the end, it felt very forced, and Japan and Korea just don't mix well together...
The new Korean dramas don't meet the standards they used to. Everything feels repetitive and dull. It seems like they tried to impose this style on the Japanese, and there was also a very strange dynamic between the main characters that didn't sit well with me.
They were both charming, beautiful, and acted excellently, but there was no chemistry, and I wasn't convinced that a Japanese and a Korean could get along. They're so different that it's impossible to reconcile it properly.

I tried watching it without success; it really bored me. There were no moments of surprise in these attempts. Maybe fortunately, because not everything was translated into English.

The plot is clearly inspired by the polish film 4 nights with Anna
The series is based on a manga, and it seems the manga was published after the Polish movie. However, there are definitely Western European influences here that I wouldn't necessarily associate with Poland, such as the paintings and Napoleon. I might have thought it was a French, German, Austrian, or something similar. To know for sure, one would need to dig deeper.

You have no clue about cinema, no clue about art. you are part of a movement that threatens the existence of the free art. This is exactly it. Just so you know, films like these already existed in the 1960s , and a similar film was made in Poland, as someone mentioned here. It might not be based on that, but there are definitely similarities, and it was actually aired in 2008. People like you need to start learning about life and reality, read fiction books, art books....something, to get out of the bubble, of VR, tik tok social media, please. What is happening with this zombie movement is really too scary.
