Title Speed and Love Spoiler
I have a question. On ep 26 or 27 when Jin Zhao told San Lai he quit smoking… and told him it has been 2 months.…
No, she's not pregnant. Due to the amount of cut scenes, a lot of the timing in this show makes no sense. If my understanding is correct, Sanlai asks JZ if he quit smoking because they're trying for a child, sarcastically, because usually when people try to have kids, they stop drinking and smoking and try to be as healthy as they can for better fertility. Hearing this, JZ smiles/smirks because at that point, he and JM had already been intimate. Then Sanlai asks him how long, and he says 2 months, which I'm guessing is either how long he's stopped smoking or how long it has been since they were intimate. I say this with uncertainty because JZ said it had been a few months since they got together at that point, but to the audience, it could've been passed off easily as a week or even less. However, this is all my speculation and how I'm choosing to understand the scene. It may be different in the novel or be completely different in the show, but just not make sense due to cut scenes.

I previously commented about how much i missed San Lai and Lin Sui after watching episode 26, but now after 27 i feel like i predicted everything and somehow spoiled it for myself in the weirdest way lmao. i just love those 2 characters, and if we got a spinoff show abt their lives in Thailand with the racing and fighting as an action short drama from before JM went to find JZ, you would hear -100 complaints from me.

Just watched episode 26 and WOW. Really got to see parts of the old JZ from before he was domesticated. I wish we got to see the old version with the cut scenes, but i still love this show so much!! Came for Esther, stayed for the chemistry between her and Heyu and the acting of all characters. I just miss Sanlai and Lin Sui and also her friend from Thailand, who's Lin Sui's cousin (I forgot her name) in the recent episodes.

She’s 19 and he’s 23, she’s in foundation/ A levels. In some countries Foundation can even replace first…
Ahh, okay, thank you! That makes so much more sense cause I'm not very familiar with school systems outside of North America, and only know things from dramas, and seeing uniforms above high school level is new to me, so I was pretty confused.

I'm 9 episodes in, but I can't figure out if the FL is in high school or uni. The uniforms and school building are telling me high school, but then I can't make sense of the age gap. Could someone tell me what grade she's in and how old the leads are please?

I think most MDL users rate dramas based on the emotions they leave you with, rather than merely technical or…
Wonderfully said, I couldn't agree more! I always find myself going back to the dramas most people think are cringe or "beginner level", but something about them always holds a special place in my heart.

They cut 4 episodes so it's rushed.
I was wondering why everything felt so rushed in the last 3 episodes, and now I know why. But even with all that, I still give my heart to this drama as I don't remember being this interested in a costume drama and liking the chemistry as much as this since my first costume drama a year ago, which was Wonderland of Love.

I actually don’t understand the people who complain or find the ML annoying and “toxic” in the beginning…
I would argue that it's better than some enemies-to-lovers actually, because no matter how much hatred they may have between them, the main leads actually show respect to each other as human beings, and Wei Shao never underestimates Man Man's capabilities. This is the only way I like enemies-to-lovers because when two people are inhumane to each other, it makes it hard to believe that they could truly fall in love and move beyond their pasts.

Title The Prisoner of Beauty Spoiler
Xiao Tao and Wei Liang , Qiao Fan and Bi Zhi🥹 my heart they should’ve had their HEA.
For the sake of my mental health, they did. I got spoiled about their endings from tiktok, but even then, I was in a state of denial, and I still am now. My heart breaks just to think about it all.

As someone with pretty much the same taste as you, I definitely suggest this one. I had the same worries when starting it as I typically don't enjoy costume dramas due to how much brainpower you need to allot just to watch them and the confusing relationships and plots. But TPOB is nothing like that. While the plot definitely revolves around politics and war, there are less than 10 places you really need to remember, and even more so, just 5 that are very key to the plot. There aren't too many characters to follow, as most of them are either just side characters in one or two episodes or support characters you'll see through the whole show. If you liked TFF and HL, I think this one will be good for you, as the main leads are originally enemies, but the FL helps heal the ML's trauma, and they work together for the people of the land and fall in love after that. There are very few fight scenes, and there's a lot of romance in terms of eye contact, stolen glances, comedic bickering, and LOTS of chemistry not just between the leads, but the side couples as well. In terms of skinship, there's some near the end of the show, and it's REALLY good, and they convey a relationship so well, but I would say it's not essential to the main plot, so you can choose to skip it if you want. The characters all have really good ties. There's lots of girlhood between the FL and her cousin, and you see some really good bromance between the Wei generals. The cinematography is really good as well in terms of camera angles, and I loved the use of the OSTs because they used minimal music, and when they did use it, it added a lot of feeling to the scenes. I would say if you want to watch it, give it a few episodes (around 5) before deciding if you want to keep watching or not, but as someone with very similar tastes, I definitely think you should give it a try. Sorry for the very long answer, but I hope that helps!

The thought of coming back home and watching the first episodes is the only thing that kept me going this whole week. Can't put into words how disappointed I am right now. I really hope iQiyi locks in and actually releases it soon because I have a feeling that more delay after this mess up is gonna make a lot of people who are waiting for it lose interest.

That fabric pattern is basically “Flourishing Descendants” and WS couldn’t help being affected by MM’s…
thank you for explaining it so well!

Just started watching this. Can't believe I put off such a good drama for so long. But can anyone tell me what the pattern of the fabric that the pillow she makes for him is made from in episodes 8&9 means?

i like this drama better than Love Next Door (if compare the two latest drama of Jung So min as Female lead) even…
You have some good points, and I just want to share my opinion rather than pick a fight, but I personally liked LND a lot more than WYMM. While it was still a good watch that I don't regret, WYMM didn't give me the same warm and fuzzy feeling you get when the main leads are together that I got with LND. Maybe because it's because we didn't get enough time to see their relationship developing, but I felt like he only liked her because of their childhood ties and that she just got together with him out of convenience and partially the childhood ties. While I did like the second leads of WYMM, LND's second CP is still unbeatable in the sense that their trope was very new and fresh. Lastly, while the plot for both is pretty overdone and they have very cliche moments, as someone who prefers a romance and fluff-heavy plot, I hated how long they dragged the whiny ex and his family and the second FL plots in WYMM. LND wrapped it up in an episode and a half at most and focused more on the individual development of the leads as well as the development of their relationship. But overall, I think they were both great shows and JSM and the casts of both dramas did a great job of adding fun twists to the mostly cliché plots.

So when is the final episode supposed to release ?
It's already released on Disney+, but if you're trying to watch it on a pirating site, you'll need to wait longer as it takes time for them to upload it.

Just finished my 12th rewatch. No matter how many good shows I watch, I just can't seem to move on from this drama. It's just that good and will always hold a special place in my heart.

I've only watched the first episode, but it was a little boring and slow. I sense a lot of chemistry between the leads, though, and the cinematography is great. I think it'll progress to be more comedic but also dramatic in the future episodes once the body swap happens and everything, since the clips in the trailer look really comedic and interesting. I've looked forward to this one for a while, and it's too soon to judge anything about anything, so until then, I hope it doesn't disappoint.

amazing is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?😂. it doesnt really take that much range to be whiny and annoying.
Well, I am a bit impressed since I usually don't feel much irritation towards characters when I watch a drama, as I know it's all acting and going to be resolved in the end, but he is making me really hate ex-KWJ.

I read twin I hear twins,But I don't see twins NOT EVEN IN THEIR MEMORIES,I ONLY SEE ONE
Since the twins are played by the same actor, I'm assuming the other one isn't going to be in too many scenes if he isn't dead already.
