_____ I’m crying happy tears while reading so many beautiful comments about this drama and the cast on different platforms 😭😊❤️
Sometimes I don’t even care about the ratings anymore and mixed comments in this site— what matters most are the beautiful and appreciative comments from real viewers.
I’m so thankful to the writer and director for making this family drama so well and so successful. And the cast gave so much color to the drama, that’s why so many people are happy and appreciating the story.
Those who watched it really can’t move on yet. They’re even asking for an extension and they’re also sad because time went by so fast and it ended so quickly. To get this much appreciation from the viewers it's a great honor. At least all the hard work of the cast wasn’t wasted.
Thank you so much to everyone who made this great drama. This drama was completed successfully and beautifully.
I have watched so many dramas like this. To me, this one is just so-so 7/10. I can recommend some better dramas…
We may have different opinions about this drama, but sorry I don't agree with you saying that this drama is average. It may have flaws and some dragging parts, but the story was still written well because it has lessons. It's very heartwarming, there aren't many villains, no love triangle or love square, and this drama still has heart, then none of the main characters died. They're all alive and happy in the ending of the story.
And about your list, not all of them are my cup of tea. Only two that I liked from what you mentioned: "Once Again" and "My Father Is Strange"
I don't think this drama is average. Other family dramas are even more average after Once Again, so I almost dropped those dramas because some of them are heavy or have that 'makjang' vibe, then unrealistic. There are a lot of frustrated characters and it's boring.
Although we all have our own opinions, for me "Recipe for Love" has still heart, good romance family drama and you can really feel the real family here. The family dynamics are good, it's very light hearted & heartwarming, and there aren't many villains. No love triangle or love square, and the chemistry of the cast is great.
So this drama can't be called average because at least it gave joy to the real viewers and there was a lot of positive feedback about the story of this drama.
Sorry sis if there’s a part in your comment that I’ll go against first. I know we have different opinions…
Me too. The only thing that got me back into family dramas was "Recipe for Love." If it weren’t for this drama, I’d probably still be in a slump with family dramas. The last time I seriously watched one was "Once Again", and I ended up dropping the others because their storylines and the cast chemistry just weren’t my cup of tea.
Now that this drama is over, I just can’t accept that we won’t get to see it this week anymore 😭
Right now, since I really can’t move on yet, I’m too lazy to watch other dramas. But I’m planning to watch "Spooky in Love" if I have time.
Oh no! @InspectorMegre starting with his craziness again. This person is so negative and bitter. Actually I didn’t want to pay attention to what his saying anymore, but his opinion is so unfair, weird, out of place, and worthless, for the MDL readers and future viewers. Don’t mind this person’s comment because it’s all complaints and what his saying is always pointless. He just like to tear drama down. Please don’t let this person fool you..
Keep watching Recipe for Love because this drama is really good. And please don’t be blinded by negative comments, like that completely pointless comment from @InspectorMegre
I’ve noticed a lot of commenters here are looking for Minseo. I want to see her again too, but she was only a guest role so I guess that was the extent of her contract.
As for the leads, I’m seeing commenters criticizing them, saying it was a “disaster” and constantly criticizing Ju A’s character. Wow, this only happens here. We all know the nonsense on MDL. On other SNS platforms they’re getting nothing but appreciation, especially on IG because they faithfully love each other.
And the best part — even though they broke up, there was no annoying love triangle, love square, ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend in their relationship. Their relationship may not have been perfect because of the breakup, but it was so pure, so cute, and so loyal.
That’s why compared to other main couples in family dramas, I still prefer the love story of Ju A and Hyeon Bin. The others are just more frustrating.
What’s clear in "Recipe for Love" is that it shows the weaknesses, strengths, and different personalities of every character, so it's clear that their love story isn’t bad at all. It wasn’t perfect because of the obstacles, but at least they grew and they still chose to fight for their love.
I rewatched episode 50 and now I understand even more the real message and lessons of this drama. Thanks to the writer and director for doing justice to this family drama story. And I think the story didn’t go downhill because the ending was still reasonable.
And now I miss the cast so much, especially Jin Se Yeon and Park Ki Woong. Finally they reunited in my favorite family drama and I really loved their chemistry. Even though I’m originally a KangDan Joo Won and Jin Se Yeon couple from "Bridal Mask" I can see that Jin Se Yeon and Park Ki Woong’s decision to take "Recipe for Love" was the right one.
I’m thankful the writer didn’t give them a love triangle or love square. So I don’t see their relationship as a “disaster.” At least the writer still did justice to it and their love story turned out beautiful.
Honestly, it’s so hard for the other cast here to get their next project right away because we know how much connections matter in the K-industry. I hope a miracle happens and the cast get casting news soon, especially Jin Se Yeon and Park Ki Woong, because I’m still not over in "Recipe for Love"
____
For those MDL readers and future viewers you should watch this drama and don’t listen to the negative opinions, because it would be such a waste if you don’t get to watch a good drama. I highly recommend this drama because it has values and the story is so heartwarming.
Aww I hope to see you and @MinaM again, hopefully we'll end up watching the same dramas, until then miss you sis…
Yes you have a point about those haters and thank you also sis for telling me about your own opinion for the first 2 episodes of Spooky in Love because you know MDL comments are always mixed..
Sorry sis if there’s a part in your comment that I’ll go against first. I know we have different opinions…
Thank you for understanding my opinion sis and I really hope too we get to see another enjoyable drama like Recipe for Love because now that this drama has ended, I want to take a break from watching family dramas first. I don’t know sis? it looks like the next family drama isn’t my cup of tea so I think I’ll pause to watch on family dramas for now and will only come back when the cast chemistry and drama plot is as good as Recipe for Love..
This was a very good drama, probably one of the rare slice of life family dramas that doesn't make you want to…
Sorry sis if there’s a part in your comment that I’ll go against first. I know we have different opinions about the characters and this drama and I still get your point too, but that is better than the leads not getting married at all. The important thing is that it was still them faithfully, and there was no annoying ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend or third wheel or love square in their relationship.
But anyway I'm thankful at least you still enjoyed this drama. Thank you very much sis 😊
Aww I hope to see you and @MinaM again, hopefully we'll end up watching the same dramas, until then miss you sis…
Yes I hope too, I miss you too sis. Thank you for being with me in this comment section. I'm really going to miss this experience here. Even though I had problems with the haters, however there were still people who understood and appreciated every story in this drama 💛
Btw... have you watched Spooky in Love yet? I haven't started it because I'm still focused on Recipe for Love and I still can't move on until now..
Even though I'm so disappointed with the unfair comments here, I will still share the beautiful memories and heartwarming posts from the Recipe for Love family group pictures on their IG 💛
Great job and thank you so much for the hard work of the entire great Recipe for Love cast, writer, director, staff, and crew.
Through so many episodes still there was no scandal or backlash. This drama was so clean — no smear campaigns in other countries just to get people talking. And the drama ended with no accidents. The teamwork was so beautiful and so smooth. And it’s also always included in the list of Drama Brand Reputation Rankings and Actor Drama Brand Reputation Rankings, in Fundex and Drama Buzzworthy because there are viewers who get hooked on this drama.
The writer and director are also really good. They helped improve and made all the cast even better even though they were already talented.
After Once Again, Recipe for Love is also one of the dramas that brought family dramas back to life. So I will never forget how much I enjoyed and appreciated every effort and hard work from the cast and everyone behind Recipe for Love.
Thank you for really airing it this year. This is such a beautiful gift for this year. The story was also really well-written. I hope the cast, director, and writer from this drama reunite again. I’m wishing to see them together in another great drama.
This drama truly made me so happy. It’s now my #1 favorite, with Once Again at #2 and My Father Is Strange at #3.
"Recipe for Love" is such a meaningful and beautiful drama for me. I will never forget this drama. I will rewatch it and recommend it to my friends.
Thank you so much to the cast, especially Jin Se Yeon and Park Ki Woong for their great reunion, and to writer Park Ji Sook and director Han Joon Seo for the amazing direction and for writing such a beautiful story for Recipe for Love.
I hope to see Jin Se Yeon, Park Ki Woong and the Recipe for Love family at the KBS year-end awards..
And thank you also to my sissies @potatoes_uwu who I’m always with here on MDL & @MinaM for sharing the preview of this drama, and thank you to my friend @shin & @ricpnz who always understand my opinions.
My mind will never change. Solid 10/10 is the score I'll give for this drama because I really enjoyed and appreciated it so much! 😘😘😘
WTH! the rating did drop from 7.5 it so unfair rating, this drama is also one of the good dramas this year with a happy ending.
And I can't believe they're even comparing this to the disaster that was "Our Golden Days" which even got backlash for its ending. I love Jung Il Woo but I didn't like the storyline of his family drama, sorry. Recipe for Love is so far from that drama to be compared to it.
Maybe Recipe for Love has flaws and some draggy parts, but it’s still well-written because it has that heartwarming, funny, and meaningful story.
Anyway what more do you want from the leads? Yes, they broke up, but there was no annoying love triangle or love square, or ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend. And they were so loyal to each other too, and their chemistry was just perfect. Honestly their love story was so refreshing compared to other dramas that always have a love triangle or a troublesome ex-girlfriend and ex-boyfriend.
Some commenters here are just never content. All they know is to be negative. And it’s so unfair that they even lowered the rating. Some commenters here are so bitter.
That’s why I’m reminded of sis @potatoes_uwu who doesn’t trust the comments here on MDL because the comments are all over the place. If someone who’s interested in the drama, they’ll get confused because the comments aren’t accurate.
Yes, we all have different tastes and opinions but to call this drama boring when in truth, compared to other family dramas, this one is more enjoyable and totally worth watching . The comments here are so unfair, while on the Recipe for Love cast's IG their posts are flooded with beautiful and memorable comments.
I am so with you on the no love triangle/squares. I much prefer multiple couples with different dynamics.
Although we all have different perspectives about that, I personally prefer dramas with no love triangle or love square. Because a love story like this feels so refreshing and pleasant to watch.
Actress Kim Mi Sook's IG update with actresses Yoo Ho Jung as Han Seong Mi, Jo Mi Ryung as Hyeon Bin's aunt & Yoon Bok In as Jo Mi Hyang and the actors Kim Chang Wan as Ju A's Grandpa and Kim Seung Soo as Ju A's father 😍
One of the co fashion designer actor posted Jin Se Yeon as Ju A and Park Ki Woong as Yang Hyeon Bin's wedding group pic along with their co fashion designers and with actor Kim Chang Wan as Ju A's Grandpa in second and third slide photos 😍
Ju A's and Hyeo Bin's dads, moms, grandma, uncles and aunties are with them because they're about to get married. And it looks like everyone enjoyed themselves while calling each other on the phone. This part is so cute and funny 🥰
