Hello all. Question? Per AI overview it says that relationship of the puppet emperor Qi Sheng and Qi Min are half…
The emperor calls Qi Min’s son his nephew- but that could be a misrepresentation in the subtitles. Based on what has been shared, Qi Sheng and Qi Min are half brothers-sharing the same father. Chengde is not his father, I don’t think (their father died in the battle 17 years earlier and was hung from the walls like Yan Zheng’s father), but did pass down the throne to him as his successor. That’s why he’s unsettled. Qi Min is older than him and the rightful heir to the throne. Chengde thought he and his mother were dead in a fire, so had no choice but to name Qi Sheng his heir.
Was on vacation and just came back.. Starting this today.. Haven't watched any spoilers as I didnt want to know…
I’m on episode 36 right now and am enjoying the story, acting, and cinematography. So far, no lasting heartbreaks. I believe it also ends happily- from what I’ve gathered. I’ll know later today though.
Just had a random realization 😂I’ve watched way more C-dramas than K-dramas… but somehow still haven’t…
I guess it depends on the type of drama you’re watching. Also, it’s easy to sit for a 16 episode drama rewatch- a bit harder when it’s a 40 episode rewatch. Fangs of Fortune is my frequent rewatch, though. I love it a little too much, I think.
Y'all plz help me get over poj 😭 I can't seem to find any other good dramas after this. Plz give me some really…
I enjoyed Fated Hearts. If you don’t mind more martial arts-heavy time period dramas, Fangs of Fortune has never left me. Hearing the OST brings me right back every time. Unclouded Soul, too. A Whisper of Fate… I love and vividly remember all of these cdramas.
oh I envy you that you are watching it for the first time now
I waited on purpose. I’ve been doing that lately- watching just-finished drama while waiting for the new ones to finish. I hate waiting for each episode to air. it was hard though because IG spoilers were everywhere.
What a sweet episode. ngl I thought- like everyone else- that “something” quite different was gonna go down at Duang’s house… But this was just as good imo. I love that Qing trusts Duang enough to open up so completely about his childhood trauma. And Duang is so emotionally mature, even if he’s silly at times- he’s serious when it counts. He is the perfect person to heal Quinn without the task being burdensome to him. I love the level of acting we’re getting from TeeTee and Por. These two have great chemistry and work so well together. And let’s be real- these characters were 💯 written for them. Im looking forward to the last two episodes. I’m gonna binge the whole series all the way through whe it’s over.
Unfortunately a 23 year old and an 18 year old can be in a relationship. Doesn't mean he groomed him. This makes…
The issue is that Akira was new to high school when the two started hooking up- based on the flashbacks. So he was definitely younger than the 18 at the time. Japan only recently lowered their legal age of adulthood from 20 to 18 (back in 2022). If he’s just entered high school, he had to be no more than 15 or 16 when they started things. Either way, he’s too young to be getting busy with a now-23 year old. Likely it’s been about a year or 2 since they started hooking up. Either way, he was a legal minor at the time, while the “tutor” was always a legal adult. They are 5 years apart. If they got together when Akira was 16, Tutor Guy was 21. Unfortunately, the legal age of consent in Japan has been 13 until very recently (2024- raised to 16). I teach high schoolers- none of them should be making such potentially life-altering decisions at this age. Most are very easily influenced by older people.
I don’t really think Tutor is a bad person. I think he’s lonely and feeling some kind of way because he has unrequited love for Akira’s straight brother, so sympathizes with Akira from when he had unrequited feelings for his straight friend. It’s also kind of a twisted way to be closer to the brother, maybe? They mutually decide to seek comfort in each other until Akira wants to end things. It looks like Tutor is giving Akira control, but due to his inferiority complex (both when comparing against his brother and for being a gay boy who was bullied by his straight friend once that friend found out he was gay and liked him), he doesn’t want to end things with Tutor. He’s unsure of Kanata’s feelings and thinks he’s straight. He doesn’t want to be hurt again.
I put a spoiler tag because I think I share things not yet known- I don’t remember because I watched the non-subtitled full episodes on Bilibili already).
This is my 12th revisit. I love these two and this drama. Are there some parts that still don’t make sense- even after seeing it 13 times? Yes. But not enough to keep me from loving this series. it’s a 9/10 for me- the minus 1 is for the parts that remain unexplained/don’t quite make sense due to editing or scriptwriting.
"Do your best to handle me" THE SCREAM I LET OUT OMFGGGGG
When I saw TeeTee- I mean Duang’s smile, I was like, Bro just unlocked another level. 🔥🥵🔥TeeTee- I mean Duang is gonna handle him like he’s going for 🥇at the Olympics! their Rabbit Era has begun

Episode 24 now. Steady pacing to the finish!

Definitely one of my comfort BLs.
