These two are a hot mess. And Iām here for it. But the obsessively clingy younger brother gets on my nerves. Like, it really bothers me just how clingy he is and how he feels like he can make decisions for his older brother all the time. And how he seems to think his older brother needs his protection. It gets on my nerves. Bro, focus on your man. I honestly donāt think this cycle of vicious misunderstandings between them would have started if he hadnāt hidden his brotherās phone and Lu Fengās desperate messages way back then. He definitely has to shoulder some of the blame imo. He needs to stand back and let his brother handle his own affairs.
I made the mistake of watching the first 2 episodes before reading the synopsis of the show on iQIYI⦠Itās giving a HIStory 3: Make it Count last two episodes. Dear Taiwan: I need happy BL endings, not tragedies after building up my hope for the main couple. šššIām still gonna watch it, of course, but Iām gonna wait until itās done airing to continue. I already know Iām not gonna be able to wait every week after the super sad part hits.
The romance isnāt overt which is why a lot of people are upset. They were hoping for something a long the lines…
I think itās because of MLs high celebrity status. I anticipated watching this a year ago, but as it kept getting delayed, I had a feeling it would be washed before airing. I was still willing at the time, though. But the comments about sad events every couple episodes is enough to keep me from watching it. Life is stressful enough. I watch dramas to escape for a while.
Iāve picked this up twice and set it down twice. Itās hard to get into. canāt quite put my finger on why though. I seem to be able to get through only 5-6 episodes at a time.
Yāall, Iām wracking my brain but canāt remember the name of the actor who plays the prisoner in the skinning case, Zhang Dongxuan. Iāve seen him in other dramas and love his work. Heās not listed in the cast list- that I can see. Nor could I find him using a Google image search. š
Wang Xing Yue must have been very young when he filmed this drama as he is just 23 yo rn when this drama was launched…
He was 18-19. Doesnāt really look it though. Props to makeup and styling for that. Also he doesnāt have that baby face- heās all sharp jawline and edges at 18-19. Crazy.
I was wondering why the kissing scenes were so chaste, then I realized Wang Xing Yue was 18-19 when filming this while Bu Guan Jin was 26-27.
I actually really enjoyed the acting from everyone. Nie Zi Hao played Ji Ding Yue really well. By the end he looked the part. Well played. Wang Xing Yue really did a great job. Iāve seen several of his dramas by now- One and Only (supporting) being the earliest- this being the first one as a ML and he did so well. He only got better. Iām looking forward to his next projects. š
Ok. Rant over for now.
