Person Chun Woo Hee
she is 37? omg doesnt show at all
I've liked her since about 2017 in her movies with Kim Nam Gil and then with Han Hyo Joo, and she still looks same while KNG and HHJ clearly aged lol.
7 Years later and STILL looks same age, didn't age at all. Aging stopped at 30 πŸ˜…

Asian genes + takes care of herself well?

I have to say that Will love in spring is for sure realistic buildup of the relationship. But it is straight up…
Oh I agree then, THAT part of FL I also DID have issue with.

...Too many viewers took too much offence over her accusation towards ML and her unwillingness to sacrifice Shanghai/career, I thought you were among those people. πŸ˜…

Apparantly that leaving part followed the book it was based on.
Suddenly abandoning your partner IS NOT OK.
I think the drama should've adressed this and mentioned FL and ML talking about going to theraphy with FL talking about doing better. But I guess theraphy too taboo for asian drama πŸ˜… Plus it seemed to me the writer was in a rush to write the ending + had pressure from higher ups in aligning the ending with book ending to give a propaganda ending of "Return to smalltowns gen MZ people!"πŸ˜… .

Overall I did found the ending satifying in them finding a compromise and realization/finally a firm promise to priotize the relationship & work on it no matter what;
yet all this with FL not having to actually give up career: BUT with the small need of adressing theraphy (especially for FL!) sadly missing.

No I can't agree with you there. FL's behaviour made sense in her situation as a disabled person desperate to prove herself, especially in chinese culture. (I'm disabled too but in different way, so I understand her. She wasn't manipulative, only highly irrational and traumatized. I think the drama maybe should've shown more FL inner life/past trauma flashbacks so also non-disabled people could understand her better) Also let's be real, most millenials wouldn't be keen to stay in a small town eitherπŸ˜…, it was realistic that way too.

Also most women wouldn't put up with ML's career, much less worry and be there for him during the though times his career got to be too much, most would ask him to switch career to something less depressing/taboo, especially asian women, see his blind date in ep2 who tells him to switch careers & the times Ml mentions his dating life was dead after pursuing his career....But I guess some of you viewers forgot those part of plot and only focused on flaws of FL....

I'm still watching it but I'm giving it 10! The best k-drama this year. So mature, easy going, understandable…
Nah you'll give "Best drama of the year" comment to Will Love In Spring cdrama once you watch that one.πŸ˜‰

This was still good though. ONE of the best ones of the year.

I liked it overall.
8.5/10. OTP buildup was forced, so no full 10....

I'd give it a higher rating if it all didn't fell abit flat somehow too.
I don't know.
It feels like deep writing and good characterization, but at the same time SOMETHING is missing.

Maybe it's mainly that the leads's relationship felt a bit forced to me, and lacked abit natural buildup, went from "I'm destined to like you because in the future I will "(what a dumb reason to like someone to begin with) to too quickly into "I will die for you".
The fantasy timetravel element made their relationship buildup very unnatural instead.

Add to this, only average chemistry. Felt NOTHING during their kisses lol.
I only liked them together because I'm fan of Both leads, don't know If I'd shipped them if this was my 1st drama with them both....πŸ˜…

For a better chemistry and realistic buildup I recommend
Will Love In Spring drama (Gave it a 10/10). Or perhaps I wouldn't be so harch on this TAF couple if WLIS hand't aired not too long ago.....

Ironically every other relationship was built up nicely (except the redemption of the other family, too quickly there). Inna and FL had a very lovely Step-mom & Step-Daughter relatipnship, The Siblings bond, Bok Don't Eat & her trainer etc....

It's the first show I've seen with Chun Woo-Hee, but that girl can act imo. I put a lot of her shows on my list…
Watch her underrated show Be Melodramatic πŸ˜‰

Bonus, it has Jeon Yeo Been as lead too.

Ep12 huh WTF??

Someone explain why ML didn't just JUMP WITH her from down from the window to safety?!?
His speech delayed them too, they clearly wouldn't have been THAT much of in a hurry had ML not just STOOD AROUND talking for so long!!!!

..Too convienient, this writer must avoid that to have more dramatic "goes missing/dies" plot until the end?!!πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

lol... There is no healing in this drama. The main characters are not healed. They just end up living together…
Not at all. There ane many forms of healing. Even just a normal destressing after work is "healing".

Anyone not feeling the chemistry of the main leads? The kiss in ep9 - I felt nothing πŸ˜…
I mean yeah I agree, but not sure if I can be objective right now so soon after the Chemistry of the Year couple (Will Love In Spring) having aired, they make everyone else seem like having zero chem so πŸ˜…

it is exactly like that
It's not really like that.
She herself changes more from the family actually than they change from her, because of a twist background story of hers. She needs healing even more than them.

Also ML doesn't just unrealistically stop being depressed out of love lol.
The reason he was depressed to begin with is he felt entirely powerless to save anyone because of his timetravel superpower's downside.. FL is the first person he can actually save, thus it gives him hope. It's surpringly logical, the reason he stops being depressed. I also thought from synopsis they'd give a "power of love" irrational reason lol πŸ˜…

As the show goes on, in later eps I realized how realistic the show is despite involving fantasy superpower element.

Do keep in mind though that this show is more about Psychological healing and and various relationships (not just the romantic), superpowers are plot devices to show the main genre psychological.

The Spring-Summer Season of 2024 really delivered!

This and Will Love In Spring really the best asian dramas of the year, excellent in depth writing in both! πŸ₯°

Truly hard to go wrong with the Psychological healing genre in asian dramas! πŸ₯°

Title Will Love in Spring Spoiler
When did they get together?Any breakup?Happy ending?
Ep5 is start of romance.
They start getting closer in ep 7,
Together since ep 11-12,
but don't expect any instant deep commitment,
this drama is VERY REAL in how it shows relationships, they'll slowly grow their relationship and trust with each other and have some realistic issues that most dramas won't dare to show. This drama is TOO TRUTHFUL, which has pissed of some viewers. πŸ˜…

If you want a Perfect Humans sugar coated relationship like most asian drama, this is not for you.

If you want a REAL relationship shown between two imperfect humans, one involving REAL DEEP love and ML & FL ACTUAL ACCEPTANCE of real human flaws of each other and not acting perfect for each other: this drama is for you.

No ACTUAL breakup, 1 dumb fight, quickly solved 2 eps later, a then later a phsyical separation of a few months in around ep 17 ish (forgot exactly when πŸ˜…), one where FL swears she refuses to end things, so not much of an actual breakup, solved also 1-2 eps later.

Also yes, a Happy Ending. πŸ₯°

2 eps in seems like a very average romcom, absolutely nothing special, but entertaining enough only because of the good leads,
.... not as bad as reviews made it seem.

At least it's better than Jasper's awful drama "Before We Get Married" where he as ML literary stalks FL, jokes about how nice he is for only locking FL into room and not raping her and throws her of of the balcony (YIKES! and that's only ep1&2 there!) yet that drama managed a 8.0 rating and praise by insane MDLers while this one got a 7.5.

You really cannot trust MDListers to give fair rating. πŸ˜…

ep 9 and im a little bit confused, why bok gwi ju is so obsessed about saving do da hae?
It goes back to the reason he was fundamentally depressed to begin with in ep1:
he was deprssed thinking he was totally useless in being unable to save anybody.

She gave him hope that FINALLY after many years, he might actually save someone!
