Yes I agree 90% of cdrama are like this and very poorly done, that's why Kdrama are GENERALLY much better, BUT there's always exceptions:

have none of those flaws (except the language 😅 but still worth to watch for good plot), so even those of us who generally dislike cdrama can actually enjoy them. Also cdrama have significantly imporved just the last couple of years, so a bit more exceptions are found. I'm giving cdrama a first real chance this year and surprisingly liking a few, allthough still many are bad. 😅
Those two platforms should be banned from kdrama. 😓

That's the point. It's not a binge-drama. It's one where you slowly digest the relationship, watch it over approx. 1 month, like in real life slowly falling for someone and enjoying yourself and not a burn-fast style relationship.
back to 8.5, both castaway diva and atypical family deserve a higher rating.this is why netflix gets bad shows…
Nah the rating is very fair for both. The leads' relationship in The Atypical Family progressed very unaturally while Castaway Diva's loveline felt very lame and overshadowed by the sismance. 8.5 is still good.
Now for dramas that do deserve higher rating: Will Love In Spring, Mad For Each other and One Spring Night.
That writing for See You In My 19th Life was bit of a let down though, but hopefully Writer has improved, especially since it's same genre of past lives she should have improved some in writing about past lives in a more exciting way and less average romcom way maybe? 🤔
Edit: To be fair, the chemistry between the SYIM19L leads wasn't there, so this drama will automatically be better if these leads have chemistry.

I don't understand how you don't see the drama's glaring flaws and want higher rating lol???
