Korean sources reassuring us,NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT TERMINAL ILLNESS PLOT!:The CEO is a plot device character…
It was confusing previously, I think we assumed ML is the CEO

because usally the Contract Reltionship is between the leads lol

It's highly refreshing that a lead has relationship contract with side character

Korean sources reassuring us,

NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT TERMINAL ILLNESS PLOT!:

The CEO is a plot device character separate from the romantic leads.

Korean entertainment news sites repeatedly describe Jinyoungโ€™s character as a "single dad strawberry farmer," and mention he is wary of Bu Se-Mi, the fake kindergarten teacher with a contract marriage background. This confirms the romantic pairing is between farmer father and female lead, not a CEO.

The contract marriage involving a terminally ill CEO is part of the female leadโ€™s backstory and only sets up the larger inheritance and identity plot. The CEO character is not the male lead nor the romantic interest.

.......

Here is an English translation and summary of the key findings from verified Korean sources about the drama:

1. The male lead (played by Jinyoung) is a farmerโ€”and NOT the terminally ill conglomerate chairman.
- From official character descriptions:
โ€œJinyoung / Role: Jeon Dong-Min โ€” A single dad who grows strawberries in the countryside and raises his son. Heโ€™s wary of Bu Se-Mi, the new kindergarten teacher (who is actually in disguise). Heโ€™s tough but warm, turning from โ€˜villainโ€™ to โ€˜heroโ€™ in Bu Se-Miโ€™s story.โ€
- Source: dukyong15.tistory.com/4883

2. There is no mention of the male lead being terminally ill; the terminally ill chairman is a separate, minor (background) character, who sets up the contract marriage plot for the female lead.
- The casting for the terminally ill chairman role has not been officially announced in any published article or press release.

3. All published articles and official cast lists name only the main actors (Jeon Yeo-Bin, Jinyoung, Jang Yoon-Ju, Joo Hyun-Young, Seo Hyun-Woo), and do not list a terminally ill lead character.

In summary:
- The male lead is definitively a single father and farmer, not terminally ill.
- The only terminally ill character is the chairman, who is NOT a main lead.
- There is zero evidence in Korean media that terminal illness is a main plot for either of the romantic leads.

Translated:
โ€œA single dad growing strawberries in the countryside and raising his sonโ€ฆ a tough but warm man who goes from villain to hero for Bu Se-Mi, the fake kindergarten teacher in disguise.โ€

So, all official Korean sources confirm: there is NO terminal illness for the leads; the "terminally ill" character is a side/backstory figure, not the farmer male lead.

For Jeon Yeo Been, I'm in ๐Ÿซก also does anyone know if this actually has terminal illness in it? "Limited time"…
Now 3 months later, NO illness tags and description makes it sound that Bu Se Mi her ID & the relationship contract is what's ACTUALLY TIMELIMITED.

Looks Like maybe not terminal illnes plot after all!!

I really just hope this drama has a good script cause I am tired of people thinking jinyoung canโ€™t act. I donโ€™t…
Personally I find him really unattractive (just imo, please don't hate for taste) for a romance ML, so I really hope you're right, good acting can most of the time make up for lack of appeal, even maybe in romance where attractiveness is more important, if he's really good maybe

Omg another lame controversy, like seriously knetizens are always so dramatic about lil as stuff. There humans…
At least they put the blame in the right place this time and remebred that Social Media Managers exist lol, and didn't take it out on the actor who is unlikely to even (fully solo at least) manage his account lol

I was very surpised that at least they were more rational during a controversy, can't say that of them before lol

It seems not many HIT dramas this year ๐Ÿ˜…

90% of dramas aired this year very mediocre popularity.
Then again they didn't deserve popularity.

Hopefully Next half of 2025 will have better dramas.
Or will we have to wait all the way for 2026?? ๐Ÿ˜…

Maybe try to read the article before you spew your usual predictable nonsense!
The article says it has Romance.
Maybe not RomCOM, but RomMelo or Romance w some other genre(s)
Regardless, this actor is too much Babyfaced to take seriously as Romantic Lead.

I'd rather he play supporting or some other role then, let more masculine man lead !
