on ep 3 and am really enjoying the combination of Joy of Life vibes combined with Live or Love? fun. I do hope that it will be consistent all to the end and not give us a botched finale in the grand Chinese tradition
I'm not sure about the reincarnation part. Didn't see any
so it's a straight forward current life, which I think is going to be better given how much attention is given to explaining/showing lead's way of looking at things. I like it!
no need. In the novel ML is being a typical Confucian-style male with his wife that at first he hates meaning he takes her without consent and actually hurts her during sex, but soon enough gets so hooked on her charms that it's an obsession. The novel had FL as a modern woman who gets into a body that reveals the past life in her dreams and actually ML gets one of these dreams as well, but the drama is from what I am seeing completely omitting the reincarnation/modern woman part - sorta like what we had in THe GLory
so it looks like the drama is going to forgo the reincarnation/familiarity with the events from previous life trope like they did with The Glory. Only on ep 1. so it could be revealed later
so I read the summary of the chapters from the novel and the ending out of curiosity I had heard before that ml…
I read the book and it looks like they made him much less what he was in the book. Pinkish orange at best just from ep 1. IN the novel he is not only ruthless as a strategist/warrior but also regularly abuses sexually his wife (non-consensual sex even in marriage - regardless of era is a red flag for me). I understand some folks will be angry for my saying it but that is my opinion. I do know why the author created him that way but I need to watch more to figure out if the are doing "based on the book" or adaptation with all the quirks
OMG me too!! 4 more days! Serendipity is wrapping up and Haunted Palace airs only on weekends, so I am finishing things from my on hold or PTW list. Actually I saw him in the Condor Heroes movie recently and was disappointed by the hoopla while it was rather blah - someone suggested THe Great Battle and I finished that a few days ago and THAT blew my mind. Sigh.... I wish Xiao Zhan could play in that although the young actor was good as well (the 13th prince from Moon Lovers) I am sure you know what I am talking about
hey, I trust your judgement, my friend. I dropped this loooong ago but just curious what you think now...?
I see. Well, I am not watching much that is airing now, just completing old stuff - some you recommended, btw! ha ha ha. Waiting for Xiao Zhan's new costume drama in 5 days. My garden needs tending so I am not following any gossip and watch only what I am most likely to enjoy.
thanks for a lovely comment! I am checking out your lists - impressive! And noticing you don't have any 10 out…
absolutely agree. I am over the betrayal - my ex was my younger brother about 500 years ago in the previous life so all is forgiven, And I get you when you talk about romance: sweet, uncomplicated, honest with happy ending.

I was lucky enough to have a husband for 10 years who was openly called gay by many people, but was not and I loved how he dressed and acted. Unfortunately he never dressed like a woman and actually cheated on me with a woman older than him so I knew it was time to move on, but I am still dreaming of finding one who just looks stunning and wears make up, dresses and all that. Better to be alone than with a Neanderthal. Thanks for the suggestions. I started AsSoL but it was just too "empty" Very few fantasy flicks catch my interest (if it's hocus pocus it better has comedy and really good plot) but Love Like a Galaxy is on my list except I am not a big fan of Leo
