This was such a silly and fun watch. The actors were PERFECT as opposites and it had very nice chemistry for two people killing each other endlessly 🤣

But it's funny that this and Royal Upstart 2 are rated the same... Perhaps they take different approach to the very same issue of what I personally have been longing for that is not just revenge for the sake of the revenge but upright attitude of the hero who drives to eradicate wrongs- the privilege some are born into, the power of position or illegally obtained money and sheer evil or immoral creeps.
Tbh, I had enough of that in my real life

originally I thought this will be continuation of his story, but it's version 2.0 rather than season 2.originally I thought this was going to be fun watch like the first drama but this was a much deeper take on modern person not only enjoying the wealth in ancient times as in most transmigration stories but actually trying to fight the horrible inequality among people (including entitlement and disregard for morals and law by those born into privilege, financial survival consideration of those holding office or attempting any self sufficiency, along with contempt for minorities).it was a precursor to what Zhan Zhao Adventures dished out in grand style a few months later but no less impactful. I think it well deserves 8 if not more given small format with only around 5 hours total run as opposed to 28 hours of ZZA. I guess I am not the only person to think this was good as both shows are at the same rating now 😂
All actors were good and production great. Truly a gem of spring 2026!👍❤️😁

Honestly, I came for the leads as she was great in Theads of Destiny and Spring Fever and I have been following him since Hard to Find, but was somewhat disappointed. It didn't help that MDL didn't have this title even after it aired so my impression written in my private list of "dramas not listed here" (135 titles long so far this year) gotten shortchanged to 7.25 because "I didn't like cruelty of the fl". In general, I like well written characters even if with greyish tint, but here the fl was not at all attractive or redeemable with her choices.
I wonder what reviews will people write...
