oh how much I would want to like it! alas, the script/story was uninspired. even good actors can't save it. let's face it: I came for the leads and already forgot the story. but there's hope for Deng Kai! out of all his dramas he looks stunningly good whenever he plays real creep and his looks worsen with the quality of his character. Dopplerganger was such a good opportunity for him as he played ideal boyfriend but looked like a drowned rat in it. he is overly sweet here but at least he looks decent 😄
I don't know. I was really hoping for the ml to get a good part but the story was meh and presented in a very strange manner, editing was unpolished and low budget doesn't explain poor characterization of all the characters. they were just blah. I am not sure it deserves the rating higher than 7 the only exciting scene was that escape from the lord manor with her in his left hand while right one did the cutting of the opponents
this is really a difficult but important drama. this year the trend in costume cdramas is not only to show how harrowing the life of Chinese women was in ancient times because of the competition for the favor of the men, but the ugly truth about feudal rules that Confucian tradition twisted into the tool of oppression and complete control of the weaker gender. It makes you realize that our rights as women were fought for formally in the West only for about 100 years and we gained some foothold only 75 years ago.
I don't know... this has weird developments and the characters are inconsistent and unbelievable ☹️ I really want to give it good rating but at this rate it will be less than 7😵💫
fl's tactics were rather uninspired. want to make it comedy? load the catapults with rotten eggs rather than rocks falling on innocent people at the Li mansion by chance. At least eggs would be less lethal. Besides, if she planned long game to destroy her hubby at court why resort to crude attack? and to announce to the world that her secret business has forces that can rival emperial ons. Also, she has assassins, so send one and you are widowed for ever not bothered by the d*ck husband who for a general was made to look pathetic. On ep 2 and will watch more before deciding if it is worth finishing 🤦 on another note, It would have been more interesting to watch this story with the ORIGINAL fl as it seems she was the marvel of a woman (has incredible ideals to change the world and formed such powerful organization to make a difference) and not the arrogant and self centered transmigtator with her head in her a** ☹️
nope. hard drop at ep 4 after this supposed financial genius can't see the dangers from the action of her opponent and is broke. this is not the comedy I envisioned from the synopsis 👎
sadly. all the bad things that cdramas dish out are hitting hard by ep 14😔😞🤦 dragging is just a small part of it. but the script and character portrayal🤔☹️ I am on ep 17 and ready to drop and I like the actors in general
I am a bit taken back by almost instant friendship toward the end of ep 3. a moment earlier they were merely collaborative and now all the smiles and vibes? not liking it.
this is pretty much a horizontal version of similar VD, timewise, but the attention to detail in this production is definitely better than verticals. I can see that neither of the lead actors want to descend into the world of VD 😄
