I like how the action and plot moves swiftly cutting from scene to scene without unnecessary fillers. so and so was here and voila is now there getting injured and 30 seconds later back home. I actually really appreciate relying on viewers common sense in filling in some stuff, namely "what are characters thinking". this drama is unusual in that we don't spend 1/2 of each episode hearing inner voice of the leads. we can figure that out just by watching character's actions and hearing their conversations which actually hint at emotions felt by the characters without the need for long shots (repeated from all angles) and abundance of facial micro expressions.
well, it could have been better and it could have been worse. I kinda gave up on logic early on and stayed just because I like the ml and the idea of frank rebellion against feudal corruption. But it wasn't that exciting overall 7.5 is being generous imo
aside from weird child kidnapping/abandonment/exploitation ( I was honestly worried about mental health of the child actors there and not just the plot) this was off kilter story with great potential. ML was phenomenal with his smirks and bad boy turned domesticated fluff.
somehow this reminds me Hard to Find though there's no magic. This is definitely a relationship twister with surprises. I don't know the actors but they are really trying hard.
I really really like this!!! I know it is not a big ticket drama with idols and ton of extras but the crafting of this production is fantastic 😍 I actually left First Jasmine with Bai Lu and Cheng Lei both of whom I adore to track this! 8/10 on ep 16
