On Netflix, there is no separate "The Uncanny Counter Season 2". The next episodes will apparently be released under the original "The Uncanny Counter". Even tho it's on my Netflix watchlist, I haven't received a notification yet of the upcoming new episodes. 😢😢😢

tvN is promoting this big time in Korea but Netflix is doing nothing. 😢

At the 2/3 point, the other couples have been side-lined to the point of no story. Before this, the ML and FL interacted with other family members and their various problems and issues, but now 75% of each the episode revolves around the perils of the Main Couple.

There are no "fun" (as in wacky or humorous hi-jinks) couples.

However, the ratings are up in Korea, so Korean viewers are enjoying it.

Preach it Sher! TRHC has become a story where an emotional/brainless/cowardly damsel-in-distress will require a White Knight (TK) to come racing to the rescue from the "evil villains". Zero nuance or context.

I keep telling myself that the drama is written by Koreans for Korean viewers and since the ratings are going up, perhaps viewers admire or sympathize with women who lose all of their intelligence once they become pregnant. Perhaps the hero MUST be the man, not the woman. But the abrupt change in YD's personality is not the hallmark of a well-crafted drama that weaves various family stories together.

I'm in the midst of an ongoing family emergency and haven't been able to watch Eps 35 or 36, but after reading the comments, I'm in no hurry to do so.

It would be fraud to put TK's name as father (since they weren't married).

Yes, life would be simpler if YD would simply sit down and talk to JH - his legal rights are minimal (visitation at best) and a DNA test would be required. But, if characters were wise and thoughtful, there would be no 50 episode kdramas. I've lost interest - haven't even watched Ep. 36 yet.

Re: the birth certificate. You are incorrect - she didn't name a father (surname is Oh). Fathers still have some rights in most of the world, including in Korea and running away didn't help Yeon Dope's legal position.

JH has twice mentioned his deceased mother "I swear on my mother's grave", etc. No mention of father and he apparently has no family - no siblings, aunts, uncles, etc.

In Ok once mentioned something like: "I gave birth to you and lived for you. " - it was one of the handful of times her devotion to TK verged on hysteria. So, I think something significant happened during her pregnancy or at birth - perhaps TK's father abandoned her or they were in an accident (father reportedly died before TK was born). If BongNim is Strawberry, I 'm returning to my original prediction: TK and JH are brothers (which I would prefer rather than JH being a Gong).

I don't think they will go the route of anti-harassment because if she gets a restraining order, he get a court ordered DNA test. IF the show is semi-recognizing the law of Korea - which I have my doubts about because dammit they should have registered their marriage!

And it's based upon what his mother told him. Not sure about the accuracy of translation, but on Viki, Grandmother said "your ex-husband" (which could be divorce or he dumped her?). i wonder what Kokowa showed?

If TK is a Gong by blood and BN is Strawberry, then that's a big problem.

I honestly believed that the Strawberry story (which hasn't been mentioned since Ep. 31?), the DNA test and some of the early scenes (episodes 1-10) would come together for the final 6-8 episodes. But it looks like everything has been dropped (except the DNA test).

It has become a circular firing squad instead of the "romance, pregnancy, childbirth, and childrearing" story that was originally promised/promoted. A good family drama has a variety of stories and characters, but this one is almost exclusively based on the perils of Yeon Dope and her "White Knight" who will come to her rescue time and again. Boring as F**K. I didn't watch tp. 34 until mid-week. Not sure when I'll watch 35 or 36. 😢😢😢

Back when they showed the pink and blue "talk to baby" speakers and some folks said it was foreshadowing the sex of the two babies (boy for Baby Real, girl for JM/HW baby), you said NO! - You were convinced that Baby Real was going to be a girl. I agreed - but also predicted said JM's baby would be the "eldest male grandchild" (or great-grandchild) - therefor the "heir" for that generation.

That's my "win".
