My pure reason for anticipating this drama since a year is my Lovely girl Jung So Min β€οΈ getting beautiful…
I simply started with #Alchemy of Souls and then after awhile probably his something for Jung So min and several different tweets showed up and one of them had your handle so I hit that one. You have an amazing collection of JSM photos. π
Well at first i came because of the two leads, i really like Lee Jae Wook and Jung So Min. But the show is really…
My repetroire of kdramas is not large (maybe 30) and mostly rom coms or family intrigue (example: sky castle) but i cannot imagine anyone else in the role of Naksu in the body of Mu-deok in all her variations /accents and on top of that she will soon be in the role of mage Buyeon. Jung so min is Queen
I don't think they are planning to switch souls. They are planning for Jang Uk to "channel"/tranfer (?) some of…
I apologize-- totally misread your original question. If the soul ejector is a device (and now Gil-ju has it and he already betrayed his master once) then that seems to be different from the crystal balls that Jang Kang and Naksu conjured up. I think both of them thought they would be able to use their energy to conjure another soul shift w/out the device but the bodies were too weak and now As i am typing this out I'm suddenly hit with the question: WTF is "Naksu" going to do if Gil-ju's device falls in her hands.
Suddenly a strange theory comes in my head π π π If eldest Jin girl Byeon is missing since a decade then…
Sominah - I'm surprised. You and I were first on the "Mu-deok is the eldest Jin daughter" train from the very beginning. Maybe they knew each other as children, but if they are around the same age, she disappeared when they were age 9-11. What I do know is that they were destined to be together from birth. At first I thought maybe there was a betrothed-at-cradle, but now I want to see Bu-yeon's star chart. I think it may have said something about her destiny with a "King" - which could be MISinterpreted to be the Crown Prince (because that's not going to happen) or the King Star son (obviously JU). Or perhaps it only hinted as Jang Uk - heir to the star agency. Either way, it would be a threat to Jin Mu.
Question - How are Jang Kang and Naksu able to practice Alchemy Of Souls magic and shift souls? I thought it is…
I don't think they are planning to switch souls. They are planning for Jang Uk to "channel"/tranfer (?) some of his mage energy to Mu-Deok's body/Naksu's (?) soul. Of course, one little wrinkle is that there are two souls residing in that body and one of them is much weaker (Naksu) than the other.
I smell sad ending and I donβt think I will survive it my babies deserve a happy powerful married couple ending…
Jang Uk and Jin Bu-yeon are destined to be together. Netflix isn't going to spend gazillions of dollars on an epic "fantasy romance" with an unhappy ending. They could kiss "Season 2" good-bye if they did something that stupid. My 10 star rating would go down to 1. I'm spending my time thinking up lots of how Jin Mu is going to come to a very painful and miserable end.
Theory Time folks Due to OST #2 i keep having foreboding feeling the name doesnt help any waytheory #1 somebody…
I think the lyrics are about Naksu - and she's not going to be around for all 20 episodes. She's been fading away ever since she tried to kill herself and Mu-deok's soul has been protecting her. Can't wait to say good-bye to her frankly since she's a tragic figure and I don't enjoy tragic figures. Mu Deok IS the Jin daughter.
I keep comparing it to Star Wars (big fan of the legend continuity) for some reason but yea either she is using…
Lightsabers (swords). The force (Energy from the Lake). The twisted fate birth (Luke and Leia) and their destinies, especially Luke. Palpatine/Voldemort/Jin Mu - same evil although I'm not sure if Jin Mu has the same mage-type power as the others.

I think it's generational. I see Star Wars as well, but younger fans see Hogwarts. Of course, go back far enough and you have fairy tales and Shakespeare.
As someone mentioned below, little Naksu's father was a mage who could read constellation and he was seeing Naksu's…
I think Jin Mu doesn't know about JU's relation to the King Star - if he did, he would have killed JU long ago. But I do think that he heard (from Naksu's dad?) that the Kings star appeared before the Old King died - so he's aware there is a potential rival to the throne.
Really good questions. About Jang Kang. I had asked that same question in this forum and I don't think there were…
Jang Kang will be back on the show at least in flashback scenes. I read an article where the actor said he appears in the 1st ten minutes or so of many episodes to provide back-story/history of events "20 years ago". He appeared in Ep 6(?) talking to Park Jin re: the constellation chart.
Po-si-tive.
