Honestly, this couple does nothing for me. It's not the actors - it's the script. His stalker behavior in Episode 6th was kind of the last straw for me.

But, I find all of the other characters interesting - there is still more to learn about most of them.

No. If they wanted to shock the viewer with that plot twist, they wouldn't telegraph it. But I admit, I want to know more about his story and history than I care about the main couple who are boring in their collective misery/guilt.

I think Grandpa Soon Gu is trying to figure out how there could be two rings - the one in the ring box (which we have not yet seen) and the one that Do Hae had. Or, perhaps he has suspicions and asked someone to meet him.

He lied to his parents about her background. He thought he was protecting her - but she thought he was ashamed of her. Rather contrived - but that's the story. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Depression and/or PTSD comes in all shapes and sizes. Dr. Slump was actually a very realistic reflection of how they may manifest from one human to another. Dr. Slump also portrayed individuals who sought help - counseling/therapy, accepted the diagnosis, and over time - quite a few months - were able to heal. With the help of professionals.

I enjoy this drama except for the ML. He neglected his wife and baby girl for 6 years. There is no indication that he sought help. Then for another 7 years, he literally abandoned his daughter. The drama began with him evidencing all signs of alcoholism but suddenly he simply stops? w/no withdrawal symptoms? Total Garbage. And still. . . no counseling/therapy or attempt to get better? Oh, right - he's beginning to "heal" because of some mumbo-jumbo, hocus-pocus there is only one person who can heal me diagnosis.

Mentally Ill - but Insta Cure? No Thanks - it is totally unrealistic, but that's why this drama is called a "fantasy" whereas Dr. Slump was labeled "healing".

MDL is wrong - Moon Joo Win (actor)should be listed as "support" role - I have twice submitted the information to MDL but they haven't changed it. Same for Kim Soo In (actress who plays classmate). Both are listed in the credits with the other main and supporting cast which means they will be in most, if not all, episodes.

Actually, she also has a bond with her grandfather - he was the 1st person she tried to reach when she was being followed. She came down to blow out the candles because he asked her to.

If her grandfather turns out to be some sort of bad person, I'll be pretty upset because after 7 years, she would have been able to read his mind from time to time and know his true personality.

As far as I'm concerned, NOTHING will ever explain why they can interact with each other. Bro saved her in the past/yellow door mumbo-jumbo hocus pocus would be lazy writing. But right now that's where writer-nim is taking us.

Moon woo joo is in the credits as part of the main cast so he will likely be in every episode. Ive tried to get MDL to bump him up to support cast but so far it hasn't happened.

One theory is that FL is a Bok - perhaps several generations removed.

There are hints that she has a power - three times she has sensed another person in the same room. Once or twice? Coincidence. Three times - OBVIOUS three times? Not coincidence - it's a hint of something. Her power may be latent (uniknown to her) but I think she has some sort of super-power. Whether she is also related to the family remains to be seen but it would explain quite a bit.

Still going strong on Netflix and broke all sorts of records in Korea. MLD viewers??? Pffft - like a piece of sand in a desert.

I love all the so-called "sub" plots - interesting characters, well-written character development, plot twists galore. But if you only care about "romance" between a main couple? For me that's 16 episodes of pure boredom but if that's what you really like - this drama ain't for you. 😊

I was cheering on a special friendship, but "romance" at age 13? These two mega-star child actors are too good for that nothingburger story - so I hope there will be more nuance and insight as to why they should care one whit about (not FOR, but ABOUT) each other.

Since it is a movie, I may never have an opportunity to watch, but the fact that Moon Woo Joo gets to play a role other than his usual charming and adorable child means that a minimum will go on my watchlist. But if this is Exorcist Korea Version, hard pass.

It's absolutely clear that she read her mother's mind (her eyes turned blue) - why else would they have that scene of her looking into her mother's eyes in the mirror???. It's a good guess as to whether it's her first time. - we may never find out. But today we got a hint as to what she may have "heard" in that moment when Yi-na said "I was just an accident".

Her mother got pregnant, and that's why they got married. They were both 21 (?) years old at the time. Gwi-ju's mother knew that they would not have a happy life together. The scene at the hospital was only a few months later - and Gwi-ju essentially abandoned his family (wife and child) because he was immature and couldn't deal with the guilt. Honestly, I can't stand Gwi-ju and I wish writer-nim made some effort to show us what sort of person he was during those 6 years (after Yi-na's birth) to make him more sympathetic.

Like so many scenes before this, the director has intentionally mis-led us on certain facts. The windshield wipers were working - much is missing from what happened. Which is OK - provided it doesn't mislead the viewer. There's no reason to believe that the mother intended to kill her own daughter that she clearly loved.

Edit: I removed the spoiler tag. And I just re-watched the scene (from Episode 1). The Korean subtitles (CC) state that her mother screamed - the accident was not intentional.

Gwi-ju is 35 y ears old. He married young because his wife got pregnant.

Yi-na is 13 years old. So, her father was 22 when she was born.

Da Hae is 30 years old. Subtract 13 (Yi-na's age) and she was 17 at the time of the fire.

I thought she was warning Gwi Ju that he would be the one who would go through pain. Previously, Gwi Ju refused to believe that Do Hae was a con artist or fraud even tho his sister, father and mother told him about the crooked mother's background and he knew that the marriage certificate was fake. Once mom dreamt what was going to happen at the wedding, she decided it was the only way for him to accept the truth.

At least - that's how I viewed it, lol. 😊

I'm enjoying the drama very much because the overall story [super-power family has lost their powers; crooked grifters are bonded as a family even though all unrelated] is unique.

After today, I realized why I don't care about the main couple and it's because the only personality trait we understand is that they are victims of past trauma. All of the other characters have distinct personalities, whether it is shy/introverted Yi-na; competitive/sneaky/intelligent Dong Hee; loving/devoted Father-Grandfather (the only one that Yi-na trusted), even the scheming/controlling mothers.

But Gwi-ju and Da Hae? To the extent we know them, everything is based upon their victimhood. That's how they see themselves - as victims. They bore me to tears. What were they like before their trauma? We have no idea - honest/dishonest? cruel or kind? adventurous? Ambitious? Extrovert or introvert? We have no idea.

I've mentioned before that I thought Da Hae had her own latent power - there have been three instances where she "sensed" another person near her - Yi-na, Gwi-ju (when he time traveled) and Dong Hee (floating near her window). But I don't believe she is the 6th person hidden behind the curtain in the poster. I guess the question is - has she always known she had a connection?

You are not alone. For a drama that has many unique and remarkably contra-trope characters, the predictable conclusion seems anti-climatic. So, here's hoping that writers know how to write a truly roller-coaster ride that - although has a predictable happy ending does not travel a well-worn, boringly predictable path to get there..
