I wanted to watch Color of Woman because it was suppose to be Jae Hee’s comeback drama. I was also looking forward to another romantic comedy…

Story- I loved the first episode! It caught me off guard because it was so different. This is the first drama where the romance is between 2 former lovers. The story isn’t really anything new but it still managed to differ itself with the settings/locations. In the beginning it was so light and funny. I was looking forward to work competitions and also the romance. But it didn’t really go in that direction. I think they focused too heavily on the romance to the point I just became restless. After episode 15 I actually just the recaps till the end. The ending was kind of silly but happy nonetheless. This show would have been so much better if they cut it down to 16 episodes because they really did focus on the 4 leads to much.

Acting/Cast- I actually loved the entire cast. They all fit their roles well. Although the 4 lead characters had moments when they pissed me off, I still liked them. I'm a little disappointed with So Ra’s character development though. In the first couple eps you saw glimmers of what the professional So Ra working in the beauty business could look like. I found it odd that they didn’t stick with the makeover. I mean she looked like a bag lady for the entire drama! If this was the real world she would never get hired. I know she’s not about her looks but sticking out in your work environment is not the way to go if you want to be taken seriously, which she never was. I had second lead syndrome with Shim Ji Ho’s character. I'm a new fan of his. The supporting cast made this show awesome. Their side characters really added to the entertainment factor being hilarious and all.

Music- Great OST! I put a couple songs on my ipod.

Rewatch- I’d rewatch this about 2 yrs from now just because I loved the cast.

Overall Color of Woman is not anything you haven’t seen before and it can be frustrating to watch especially toward the end but I’d say watch for the cast at least. That’s the only reason this drama will be memorable for me.

Black & White was not on my “got to watch anytime soon” list just because it’s not a genre I'm really interested in. I even dropped it the first time after watching 3 episodes because I got bored. After picking it back up again and actually completing it I have to say it is the most unpredictable Taiwanese drama I’ve seen!

Story- Funny, suspenseful, dramatic, action packed. That’s a lot for a drama to take on but this one managed to pull it off. The plot for me was a little slow for the first 4 episodes but then it started to pick up. About half way is when the plot really started to thicken and I could not stop watching. There were something’s I had a problem with though. One was the twist having to do with both our male leads. It got twisted and it got overused. By the time the truth came out I just rolled my eyes cause I was so over it. Another thing I didn’t like was how they wrote the love lines. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a drama that had 5 people who were connected that had a one sided love. Seriously the love lines get twisted every which way even till the end. Okay, I wouldn’t have had such a problem with this if it weren’t for the fact there was no payoff in the end. Small Spoiler: That’s right no one ends up with anyone! I felt the writers pulled my heartstrings all the way through only to be let down in the end. I know this is not a romance drama but if you’re going to write it in there, it shouldn’t be used to tease the audience, just saying…
Other than that the ending is kind of open with some loose ends and new revelations. Another thing is be ready for a ton of deaths, betrayal, good guys turning bad vise versa throughout the entire drama. Like I said this drama is really unpredictable.

Acting/Cast- From the big players to the supporting characters everyone fit their parts perfectly. Newbie Mark Chao was really impressive, this being his first role and all. He was able to keep up with Vic and in some scenes even out-shined him in my opinion. Speaking of Vic, this role was definitely a change from other stuff Ive seen him in. He has had a lot of growth. I liked Ivy Chen’s character in the beginning but then she began to annoy me with her selfish/wishy-washiness. Janine Chang played my favorite character, who was quite underused. Her character was awesome but I felt bad for her in the end.

Music- Loved the score really fit and heightened scenes. The OST was good but nothing I'm interested in listening to outside the show.

Rewatch- This is rewatchable but I cant say I’m interested just because I wasn’t completely satisfied with how some things developed.

Overall Black and White is entertaining and at times addicting. I just can’t say I thoroughly enjoyed it to the point I’d give it such a high score.

Ojakgyo Brothers may seem like an impossible task but its worth taking on I promise!

Story- The first couple episodes sets up the plot and storylines for everyone. I’d say it took me about 5 episodes before I saw myself wanting to see more. I do have to say the writers did a fantastic job. When the story was funny it was hilarious and when it was dramatic you felt the emotions. My favorite part of the writing though was definitely the subtle comedy. I found myself laughing like an idiot whenever something random happened. I liked that each brother had their own loveline and enjoyed watching each one develop. Although the UEE/Joo Won pairing was just too cute! In the end everyone gets their happy ending. That’s not to say it was all sunshine and rainbows throughout, cause everyone had their fair share of drama…

Acting/Cast- Perfectly casted. I liked that everyone got their time to shine. This family felt like they were really a family in real life. I wanted to live on the Ojakgyo farm! Lol. I thought UEE did a fantastic job playing the naïve but temporal Ja Eun. Loved all the brothers. The rest of the supporting cast was awesome as well. Just loved everyone=)

Music- Really liked the score. When it was suppose to be light and funny they had this awesome weird music played that really added to the effect and when it would come on I knew something hilarious/random was about to happen. The ost was good but nothing I’d listen to outside the show.

Rewatch- The episode count is quite large so because of that I’d probably put off watching this for about 2 years.

Overall I’d say Ojakgyo Brothers is the best family drama I have seen and it’s a must watch. You will definitely be entertained and fall in love with all the characters=)

Omg I really loved this movie! Not only was it super funny but the story was really good and it never got boring. Vic Zhou was amazing in this! I’ve never seen him act this good in anything I’ve seen him in. It was nice to see him smile a lot for a change. I really like how his character developed from pretty much a douchebag to this guy who completely falls hard for his opposite. Although I didn’t really care for the female actress I was surprised by how much chemistry she had with Vic. They made a very believable couple. Loved the ending so cute. I’ll be watching this over and over again=)

Meet the In-laws is a cute movie. It is super funny but the story kind of lacks. Nothing interesting happens out of the whole meeting the in laws. I kind of got bored by the middle and began to do other things while having the movie play. By the time the end came along I hadn’t missed much. The only reason to watch this is if you are a fan of Lee Shi Young. She really is a great actress and her character is just too cute. The main lead actor isn’t all that attractive so it was hard to appreciate his character. I didn’t like the supporting characters playing the families all that much. Overall this is a watchable movie if you have time but nothing to go out of your way to watch unless you are a fan of LSY which I am=)

I was looking forward to watching this movie because I'm a fan of both leads...

The movie started off just being funny as the leads meet by "coincidence" and then start this weird partnership of doing all these odd jobs to make quick money. For a comedy I thought they wrote the story more realistic than I'm use to seeing with K romantic comedies. The story does get a bit dramatic towards the end due to some unforseen events, although I quite guessed what happened would happened. The romance in this was really light and we don't really see any payoffs till the end. I didn't really have a problem with this because although the leads had a good chemistry I didnt sense a romantic connection. It could be the fact that HYS looks 10 yrs older than SJK. Anyways the actors did a great job with thier characters and portrayed thier flaws perfectly. I'd watch this again but not right away because I wasn't in love with the story.

Kimchi Family was a gamble for me. I didn't find the synopsis for it all that exciting and I didn't even know who Song Il Gook was. I only started watching because Park Jin Hee was in it and I loved her in Giant and recognized her from the drama Still Marry Me...

Story- The first episode was just really interesting and the chemistry between the leads was so good. The possibility of a romance between them led me to want to continue watching and see what this drama was all about. As the drama unfolded I became more intrigued as there was a bit of mystery to some characters and how they were connected. . The romance was sweet and subtle as the plot was more about the main character finding out who he is and about his past. The synopsis doesn’t do this show justice, as yes its about the family ties that develop between the people who work and live at Earth and Man but its so much more. It’s heartwarming, engaging, and emotional. The ending is bittersweet.

Acting/Cast- Wonderful acting by the entire cast. Not just the main actors but the supporting cast as well. Everyone made their characters stand out. I loved all the characters and they really felt like a family to me. I'm glad I got introduced to SIG because I’ll definitely be watching out for other things he’s in=)

Music- Interesting score that fit the scenes really well. The OST was very good but nothing I’d listen to out of the show.

Rewatch- I’d definitely watch this again but not too soon.

Overall Kimchi Family was a pleasure to watch and I will definitely miss watching every week.

I was really excited to watch Wild Romance because Lee Shi Young (whom I adore) was the female lead and also the way they were advertising made it seem like this was going to be a pretty hilarious drama…

Story- The first 6 episodes were 10/10. They were comedy gold and the chemistry between LSY & LDW was off the charts. I looked forward to new eps each week with a passion. About the 8th episode is when my love for this show started to die. This is when the writers copped out and decided to use the “bringing back the ex gf” plot device. I REALLY hate when writers do this because it brings the quality of the drama down for me. That and the fact that the stalker storyline got dragged out for too long made it become just another average romantic comedy. Not unwatchable but nothing special either. That brings me to the romance part of this drama. In my opinion there was no romance in this and I don’t care what anybody says. Seriously we have to wait till all the way at the end for them to confess to each other and even kiss?! To me it seemed random because for more than ¾ of this drama MY was obsessed with Jessica’s character. Then all of the sudden he realizes “oh hey I think I really do like Eun Jae!” Sorry but that type of “romance” doesn’t interest me. This is not a romantic comedy as it seemed like a comedy/drama/thriller.

Acting/Cast- LSY is magnificent in her tomboyish role Eun Jae. Although I didn’t like the way the writers changed the character’s personality in the middle. I don’t like my characters to be pathetic and obsessed with some guy. It just turns me off. LDW is just an okay actor although I appreciated he had such a good chemistry with LSY. Loved the supporting cast and although most of their characters were oddballs or borderline psychotic they all pulled off their roles and made them believable. Just want to mention that Jessica did an okay job playing her lifeless/emotionless character. This is coming from an unbiased opinion as I didn’t really know who she was until they mentioned she was a member of Girls Generation=)

Music- The OST was memorable enough to put a couple of the songs on my ipod

Rewatch- I honestly don’t know if its worth my time to watch it a second time because I loved the cast but the story wasn’t impressive…

Overall Wild Romance is just another average romantic comedy but with an awesome cast. So watch once just for them.

Dr. Champ isn’t a drama I usually go for since it’s sports themed but the main 3 actors involved peeked my interest…

Story- I thought the writers did a really solid job with the pacing, as it never got draggy or boring. As it being sports based though it could only hold my attention for so long before I got anxious to get it finished. Another thing that weakened my interest in the story is the romance. I found it frustrating to watch at times. You don’t really know who will end up with whom till the last 2 episodes because the main female character loves one dude but then likes (although doesn’t realize it till like the very end) the other dude. I really did like the last episode though it went by very fast and it had a tight ending, no lose ends.

Acting/Cast- Although the 3 main leads all did a fine acting job, as they are all known to be excellent actors, I honestly didn't love KSY's character. She was too serious for most of the drama and unlikable as well. KSY’s character didn't really have a pleasant personality until the last 2 episodes. I liked a lot of the supporting characters, filling out the side stories very well.

Music- I liked the score and the OST was really memorable as they played a lot of same songs over and over. They fit the scenes well. I wouldn’t listen to them outside the show though.

Rewatch- I didn’t love this drama so I can’t say I have an interest in watching it again but it is rewatchable.

Overall Dr. Champ was good but not something that would be memorable down the line.

I love music themed dramas/movies so Mr. Idol was definitely a must watch for me...

I really liked the story. I really liked the subtle humor. I found the band's journey inspiring as they faced all these hardships to make it the spotlight. Some things i didn't like was that they could have written more for the other 3 guys in the band. They all had stories but they were only briefly touched upon. I'm not really clear if there was a romance between the PD lady and the singer of the band cause there were only a few certain scenes that kind of pointed in that direction but then they would cut to something else and the ending was confusing too.

The acting was alright. The actress that plays the PD didn't have all that much to do to portray her robotic character seeing how this is how she acts in her other roles ive seen her in. The main singer guy made his character believable cause hes actually a really good singer but his acting isn't anything special. The other 3 guys in the band had very few lines so its hard to judge them.

The OST was really good. I might add the songs to my ipod. That "summer dream" song is really catchy cause they play it every 5 minutes it seems.

I'd rewatch this one but not right away.

Overall Mr. Idol is a fun watch but better casting could have made it even more enjoyable.

I don't usually go for these types of movies but I heard it was really good and of course Jang Hyuk is in it so that peeked my interest...

The story was good but the part where they get the evidence together(which was like half the movie) wasn't that interesting to me. I feel like it would have been better if they focused more on the trial. I thought the last 30 minutes was brilliant. The ending was clever.

The acting by everyone was good. However Jang Hyuk was really amazing. You don't really see this till the last part of the movie though. During most of the movie, his character is downplayed. Then towards the end you get to see this whole other side. It was fun to see.

I liked the movie but it in the end isn't something i'd enjoy watching again but it is rewatchable.

This movie was a lot of fun to watch...

When I first read the summary for it I went in thinking Blue Salt was going to be this big gritty action extravaganza. Yeah well this movie was the total opposite! Yes there's guns and gangsters fighting but the story was more based on human emotion. I didnt really like the romance in this cause to me it felt more like an attachment/friendship. The ending was predictable and unpredictable at the same time.

The acting by SSK was really really good! I hardly recognized her from her High Kick series. The main gangster guy was a good actor but i didnt really feel the chemistry with SSK's character. It was nice seeing quite a few actors who are known more for their drama roles.

Overall this movie was good but it was missing something to make it stand out for me.

To begin, Brain fell off my drama radar after Song Sung Hyun dropped out from being the lead. That being said I had no interest in watching. However after reading a recap of the last episode after it had aired I decided to watch it just because the last episode peeked my interest…

Story- Really different! The first half of eps dealt with different patients and kept the story fresh. Then the second half of eps dealt more with the main Dr.’s personal life in addition to another Dr who had a major arc that took up the rest of the show. There is romance whoever it is only briefly touched upon. I thought this part was its weakness because the main Dr. and the main female Dr. had such a good chemistry, so I was kind of disappointed with the way they wrote it. The last episode was so cute in one sense but also angsty and kind of opened ended in some respects.

Acting/Cast- The two actors that stood out were Shin Ha Kyun (Dr. Lee Kang Hoon) and Jung Jin Young (Dr. Kim Sang Chul). They really did a phenomenal job of portraying their complex characters. I do have to mention that Dr. Lee was so scary for about most of the drama. His character was just too intense and I’ll just say it…psychotic for my liking. I was hoping for better character development but it didn’t happen. I actually loved the side characters and wish we got to see more of them because I feel like this drama was too centered on Dr. Lee. Unfortunately Choi Jung Won (who was brilliant in Stars Falling from the Sky) didn’t contribute anything to the show. Her character to me felt like she was just there to be Dr. Lee’s rag doll. This is evident even in the last few minutes of the ending.

Music- I really like the score it added to the intensity of certain scenes. The songs for the OST were memorable but nothing I’d listen to outside of the show.

Rewatch- Although I don’t regret watching this at all, I just didn’t get any enjoyment out of watching. Therefore I can’t say Id rewatch this.

Overall Brain is very very interesting but I just wasn’t in love with it. I do recommend watching it though. Its my first medical drama I’ve been able to finish so that’s worth something=)

When I first read the synopsis for Padam Padam I honestly didn’t think much of it. Okay so a guy falls in love with an unemotional girl but has a “guardian type” friend played by Kim bum on the side? Just so you know all I got from this was Kim Bum. That is basically the only reason I even thought of watching in the first place. Amazingly enough though the first episode was so interesting that I looked beyond what first attracted me to even watching in the first place…

Story- Right from the first episode your mind will be all over the place while watching. I kept going WTF every moment and then the ending of that episode was like “are you serious?!” but in a good way. After watching that first episode I knew I was in for a show with a story I had never seen before in the Kdrama world. The story went at a slower pace but it was needed to not only build up the plot in a way that will keep the audience interested throughout the entire run, but also it was needed for the development of Kang Chil’s relationships(not just romantic). I wont give a way the ending (which honestly with the way they started the drama it could’ve gone anyway the writers wanted being unpredictable) but I will say it was bittersweet and not completely closed. Really though I cried in the last 2 episodes and its hard to make me cry!

Acting/Cast- Phenomenal acting by everyone involved including every single one of the supporting characters. Really though JWS. HJM, and KB really shined and brought their characters to life. Those three deserve acting awards and I hope they at least get nominated. I just wanted to point out that I really did not like the character Ji Nah at all during the first half of the series so much so I didn’t care about her romance with main character. But her character development during the second half was so good and made me root for her. This is what good writing is all about. Making you hate a character one minute but then changing your mind in another is pretty amazing to me.

Music- I liked the music score more than the OST but the songs did elevate the scenes in which they were meant to.

Rewatch- I would wait 3-4 years before watching this again just because this is one of those dramas that doesn’t need to be watched for a while because once the plot is known you don’t get the same feel you had the first time. Hopefully by then I will forget most of what happened during the story so I can enjoy watching it again.

Overall Padam Padam plays like a movie with the excellent cinematography, acting, plot, and score. This drama was new, refreshing and I hope there are more dramas like this to come.

Story- heartwarming and inspriring. Basically there to send a message to the audience about not giving up on your dreams. There is a little romance going on with a cute ending.

Acting/Cast-First, I have to say I loved Kim Tae Hee in this. She really was believable as a Jockey. She had to play tough but still kept the pretty. I liked the male lead and they had a good chemistry for what thier relationship in the movie called for(still couldnt help picturing Song Sung Hyun in this role though as its my dream for him and KTH to do every movie/drama together from now on lol). I also wanted to mention the child actress. She was so good in her dramatic scenes and so cute to watch.

Music- The score was lovely. There was an original song that was kind of catchy and it sounded like it was KTH singing it.

Rewatch- This is a movie that can easily be watched again however since I didnt love the male lead Id probably wait a few years.

Overall this was an enjoyable watch.
