Li Qin is hard carrying this drama and looking gorgeous while doing it. This is actually the first drama of her's I've seen and if it weren't for her I would have dropped this drama. Also quite liking the SML, both as a character and the actor.
I think your enjoyment of this show is gonna heavily depend on what your type of funny is and unfortunately this is not my type of funny. Although I do get a kick out of the FL being married to a rooster lol. It also doesn't help that the ML has the onscreen charisma of a dish rag. Even though the SML has less screentime as the ML he still fares better here as far as acting and characterization goes. I'm not even talking romantically because I think ML and FL actually have good chemistry. I kid you not, everytime the ML is onscreen I'm just like 'Hello?! Is anyone home? 🤔 '
Another drama where the trailer has let me down along with 'Are You Safe'. But I'm still sticking it out because there are bits that I do actually like.

I only watched the trailers prior to the show airing. I have no clue about the ending as I'm not even certain what's truly happening at the beginning lol
Li Qin is doing a good job, but the ML has a had a grand total of 2 expressions in the 4 episodes I've watched. I can appreciate a show trying to be different, but the disparity between the promotional materials and what's actually being presented is too much for me. Everything comes across extremely silly. I'll hold on for a bit longer, but I'm definitely not enjoying this as much as I expected to.
This show is very schizophrenic, with terrible editing and a budget that clearly doesn't match how ambitious the drama is trying to be. However, this is oddly the only c-drama I've watched recently that has made me want to click the next episode out of pure interest and not some feeling of obligation to finish what I started. Also, show reminds me of the old k-drama 'Faith' which happens to be working in it's favor for me; I have a strange affinity for that drama which objectively wasn't great. I was mostly interested in watching this due to how the FL was presented in the trailers and so far I really like her!
