I don't dislike her, I just want her to mellow out a bit. I've only seen 1 episode so here's to hoping for some nice character progression for both mains as the episodes go on.
She really was. Nothing she thought the ML was guilty of required that level of hostility. And because of this, the dynamic between the two characters isn't working for me even though I do think the actors have chemistry.
I started this drama having seen neither main actor in a drama before because I do like a good slice-of-life drama and this seemed to be that, but I must say that the first episode felt a bit too meandering for my taste. And I also found FL's level of (undeserved) agression off-putting. FL and ML do already have good chemistry so that is a plus. There are seeds of a nice drama here, but I'm not quite sold just yet. Only watched one episode as Viki seems to be releasing one episode per day.

I'll stick with it for now, but I don't know how long that'll last. I drop dramas like hot potatoes very easily lol. I checked this drama out for Xu Lu, but I can't say I'm enjoying her in this. The one good thing this drama has going for it at the moment is Vin Zhang. I didn't start this for him so I'm quite surprised how much I'm enjoying him here.
I watched 2 episodes and I think I laughed waaay more than this drama intended. Putting aside the terrible CGI, dubbing and design of the demons, nothing about this plot makes sense. I don't understand character motivations, the FL is not just naive, but to me, comes across as dumb, and the script is laughably bad. Everything is illogical.
This drama kind of reminds me of when I initially watched 'Thousand Years for You' except with that drama I actually had things I enjoyed with the first 2 episodes that went beyond liking one actor and I was lauging with the show, not at it. Although my enjoyment of the show ended at the 1st two episodes so maybe this'll be different? 😅
I'll hold off on rating for now because if I were to rate it I'd honestly give it a 6/6.5.

Until episode 24, but that also depends on how you define "together". She's physically with him, but her heart is with XZH long before an actual breakup occurs.
I have no idea why this drama doesn't have a better score. I absolutely enjoyed this. It was a well depicted second chance storyline with great chemistry between the 2 leads and believable progression. I was invested in their story, past, present and future. It always feels to me that good, low-key dramas like these that don't have the traffic stars get the lower scores while generic dramas mostly carried by chemistry, steamy kisses or traffic stars end up with the higher scores which is such a disservice to gems like this.
I never watched the kdrama 'Discovery of Romance' as I first watched the two leads in 'Que Sera Sera' which depicted and romanticized such a toxic relationship that I could never watch the kdrama without that relationship tainting whatever they would try to sell me. I have no idea if the cdrama version took any liberties with the storyline or if this was a play by play adaptation of the kdrama, but this was such a nice portrayal of an ADULT relationship and regret. I rated this a 8.5/10 simply because as much as I was invested in the main couple I really could care less about the other relationships in this drama.
HE is the only reason I would bother. I am so done with all this propaganda nonsense.
He really is a great actor. I watched clips of him in 'Our Times' and he's amazing. Thinking of giving 'The Power Source' a chance just so I can see him in a starring role. Granted if I can find decent subs.
I've taken my time with this drama (currently on episode 13) because as intriguing as the drama is on paper and the trailer, intrestingly enough, it isn't a drama that I feel the need to click the next episode. I came here to check how many episodes there are and am quite surprised this drama has 30...The drama overall feels a bit sloppy and the CGI and special effects are quite terrible. I must say that I do like Jin Han here. He's quite a good actor.
Oh I dropped that the 1st episode lol. In my case, 'Are You Safe' was such a letdown based off what the trailer presented vs what I actually got from the drama. I'm upset that I stuck with that drama for 16 episodes before eventually dropping it. I couldn't invest 15 more hours into that show 🥴

Y'know if his arrogance and over-the -topness was rooted in the athletics aspect I would wholeheartedly agree with you, however, his seems to be directly tied up in the FL. Coach Wu throws Luo Na a drink and he's practically foaming at the mouth and then asks what his time was for the 100m sprint when he was still actively in sports. And then he has Luo Na stand and he throws her a drink himself just to say they also make a good team, etc.
I can appreciate that this show is actually focusing on the sports far more than other similar dramas though. Pointing out a few characteristics that people don't, or do, personally find appealing is allowable on a review site so thanks for replying with your viewpoint.
I'm sorry, but this ML character's behavior is annoying. I've watched 3 episodes and more than immature I'd say he is way too overzealous. He feels the need to compete about everything whether it's with the FL or another team member or the other coach. This isn't immaturity, this is plain arrogance. I have no idea why Luo Na would even remotely consider him romantically if this behavior continues. As there is already an age gap between them I highly doubt what anyone would want in that type of relationship is for the discrepancy in their ages to be highlighted. Hopefully he receives some character growth because right now everytime he shows on screen I have to hold back an eyeroll.
